  • Hey Folks, Miss Marple never claims to be a detective- ever. She does not unlike Poirot carry a card stating so. She is just a elderly lady with a knack of being perceptive and figuring things out- thats her charm.

  • In the US Mr. Strange would be booked for manhandling an officer

  • stop it at 2:23 and miss marple looks petrified!

  • HAH! @ 3:00, Superintendant Whatsisname calls the fender knob "steel", but it's brass.

  • so funnee wen the Inspector has the cheek to edit Ms. Marple AFTER he's "given her the floor!" hahaha

  • LOL!!!! ms.marple with that dog on her lap is so funny

  • is that a miniature boat with two puppets on board at 1:00?! :D

  • @sodarcy LMAO

  • I really like this episode, but it makes me sad face a bit when they totally cut out MacWhirter and give all his parts to Marple.

  • @Qwills Its a Miss Marple mystery. Its her show, so Im not sure what you mean. Who on earth is MacWhirter? I am quite pleased that she has as many lines as she does.

  • Oh right. Originally it is Andrew someone that was the detective in the book. Thats probably who MacWhirter is. No loss.

  • Andrew MacWhirter wasn't a detective. He was the man who attempted suicide at the beginning of the book & was the one who pieced together the truth.

Battle had just arrested Audrey (which was what the killer wanted,) but knew she didn't do it & couldn't do anything. MacWhirter came forward & claimed he witnessed someone climbing up a rope to the woman's room, letting Battle get the real murderer to confess.

Also Towards Zero wasn't part of Miss Marple's book series, they just added her in.

  • @Qwills Spoiler?

  • @Qwills actually his name was Angus :-) but it's a pity he isn't in it, I agree.

  • @Qwills Don't post spoilers, and don't worry about the novel so much.

  • @Qwills If Andrew whoever figured out the truth, then HE WAS the DETECTIVE in the book. Miss Marple is NOT a professional detective either. A bit slow, aren't you.

  • @lollipopfop

Errr...what? Andrew MacWhirter wasn't a detective in any sense of the word, and I never said Miss Marple was one either. Each solved the case/ helped draw the murderer, but Battle is the main detective in this. (Andrew didn't even appear in the show because he was replaced by Miss Marple.)

I'm kind of confused why you're calling me a bit slow. Did you misread my comment? Or did you just want to be snarky because I spoiled something for you? If it's the latter I'm sorry.

  • the same here. i always liked macwhirter's role...especially how he ended up at the end...i wont spoil it for those of you who havent read the book yet ;)
