Love the way they work, but Remington really cheeped out on the batteries and they're soldered in place making, them difficult to replace. Ended up breaking my first one and the second one quickly turned out to be defective, wouldn't hold a charge. Just kept in plugged in and used it like that til the batteries went on that one too.

@patellaman High Precision HC821BP.. got it the other day for only $18! Thats like less than had i got a normal haircut. It was normally $30 but on special. With your clipper its like curved.. mine is just the straight version. I guess using higher combs may explain more work needed, as the blade is further away. I gave myself a number 3 yesterday.. last time was #2 but it has grown out a lot since. im happy with the 3, as short as i like it.. but prefer grown out like urs is before u shaved.
@darooguy When i say grown out... still short enough that i don't need to style it or anything. But then it gets too long and need to shear it like a sheep.
@PikaFail It's not often you hear about girls shaving their heads, however i have seen a few who have. I guess it's really personal preference. Considering you're still in school I would be a little concerned about how the other students may deal with this type of hair style on a girl, even if it were in a new school. Kids can be cruel at the best of times. I can't say what you should or shouldn't do, but if you feel it may be something that would make you happy, I say do what pleases you! :)

Thanks man.. TOTALLY buying this thing. I'm going to save so much damn time. And if anyone's interested you can use a norelco face shaver afterwords to make it skin smooth. This thing kicks ass though compared to traditional clippers.
@Infeliz08 To be honest, nothing beats a good old high quality shaver, this is a great shaver, but it is battery operated and wasn't overly expensive... I haven't done any long-term use with it but it does cut well! If you like the expensive solid traditional shaped clippers, than maybe this isn't the one for you, but for a reliable, easy to take anywhere do-it-yourself solution, I do believe this is a must have item! ;)
@Infeliz08 I got the QC5055 from Philips, never had a problem with (It's silent, works fine, never got a "red" head and the battery works for 40min.. My Head is shaved in 3min. (selfsharpening knive, you need just to put some oil on it after cleaning it under water. yes, the front partis washable ^^)
Does it shave it really smooth as though it's with a razor? I want to keep my hair really bald, where all you're feeling is the skin, without the stubble feeling that you get when you rub your hands back along your head. Can it do that?

@angeredjudge it only hurts if you don't have the comb on the clippers and if you press the blades into your head without moving it, I have used it many times and not had any problems! ;) Good luck!

I am a guy that have quite thick hair and I am wondering if there is any way that I can make it thinner myself. Maybe every second week. It is to expensiv to visit the hairdresser that often. @Searchinganswers use tongs to heat the hair and straighten it, also use a relaxer that black people use to straighten there hair, both products you can do at home. there are also liquid solutions that go in the hair which add weight to it and makes it fall better which hispanic women would use. alot of info on hair its a big business.
I made sure it was well charged before I started, but if the clippers malfunctioned, that would be a little issue! hahaha.... They come with a 2 year warranty, so that's reassuring! :)
