When Tori was young, one night after giving a performance at a bar, she gave a customer, a total stranger, a damn guy whom she's never met before, a ride, and he raped her. A costly mistake, is what I'd call it. She should have known better. But if you want to look at it in terms of Tori's "stupid" song, what she did was more stupid than what Lindsay & Paris did combined.
I'd call drunk driving and snorting coke more intentionally stupid than being naive. I've always argued that the ban shouldn't be on possessing narcotics, or even distributing them. The ban should be on advertising them. Cigarettes, energy drinks - all the substances that do substantial physical damage should have extremely limited access to advertising space, IMO.

Um, I love Tori, but many conversations have occurred between people I know that at least 1 of her miscarriages probably was the result of her "alleged" drug use and that Tori was a total nut job for a lot of things she chose to do.
stupidity is really an opinion in a lot of these cases (getting so stoned in the rainforests as Tori spoke about that she did not come down for 24+ hours and being in a funk for a long time - or almost getting fired for drug use a la Lindsay (almost does not count...especially when the studio heads used Lindsay and the events as a publicity stunt in my opinion - saw Georgia Rule last night - was SO SO) and other examples.

I don't know that the reason(s) were - but people have have said at least one miscarriage was the result of her drug use - whether they affected her protein S & C levels, or something else.....I am not trying to be a dick - I love Tori and wish her the best - but this is one topic she should just shut up about.

So, she basically admits that she is/was a druggie (not only in the song, but in many interviews) and that their only crime was being stupid. UM, in my opinion, THAT is STUPID! (And I LOATHE Paris and Nicole and Lindsay!)

Dude, don't talk smack about alcohol. You're saying that alcohol should be banned? How about you google "Prohibition" and see what a fruitless effort that was. The ban was lifted because citizens, not 'a system that doesn't give a f***about you, found ways around it. It's the same with narcotics. Are you stupid enough to think that re-banning alcohol, among other things, would go over too well?

I've always argued that the ban shouldn't be on possessing narcotics, or even distributing them. The ban should be on advertising them. Cigarettes, energy drinks - all the substances that do substantial physical damage should have extremely limited access to advertising space, IMO.
And back on topic - BRILLIANT improv! Tori's amazing.

She's pointing out that a) she never put others in danger by driving drunk (a la paris, nicole, etc) and b) never managed to do so much shit she totally fucked herself up a la lindsay. The point is, you can do "naughty" things without being STUPID about it. Trying drugs now and then may not be stupid - almost getting fired for it and needing rehab is.

Um, I love Tori, but many conversations have occurred between people I know that at least 1 of her miscarriages probably was the result of her "alleged" drug use and that Tori was a total nut job for a lot of things she chose to do.

stupidity is really an opinion in a lot of these cases (getting so stoned in the rainforests as Tori spoke about that she did not come down for 24+ hours and being in a funk for a long time - or almost getting fired for drug use a la Lindsay (almost does not count...especially when the studio heads used Lindsay and the events as a publicity stunt in my opinion - saw Georgia Rule last night - was SO SO) and other examples.

I don't know that the reason(s) were - but people have have said at least one miscarriage was the result of her drug use - whether they affected her protein S & C levels, or something else.....I am not trying to be a dick - I love Tori and wish her the best - but this is one topic she should just shut up about.

Does it hurt when you look in the mirror? Perhaps you need to reevaluate your life if you have chosen a role model who is still in the middle of finding her place in life and who is making a lot of bad choices. I feel sorry for these girls. We all laugh at them but we shouldnt. Its like laughing at the short bus. And reading gossip on crotch shots and such will just rot your brain like pure sugar to your teeth.

kudos for tori for doing something equally as negative, and 'getting out of it', its not the point. its what you do that makes you who you are, not how you get around it. i guess you could call only 24 hours in jail 'getting out of it' to if you bring it down to that sense.. regardless, im happy linds is getting it together and im happy tori has gotten it together since then. wish the best to all.

Anyway, I just don't see what the point is of calling out a girl who was obviously in need of support and not hatred. I do like Tori since then, after her positive comments on Britney, who i personally love even more, I guess I don't chose my 'role models', but i feel a connection to certain stars, and I can't help it.
