  • Today is my third day learning polish, thanks for this videos.

  • Adrakadabra :D

  • can anyone send me a link or something for polish children books =)) im going to learn basics in a year D:

  • @datka24

google for "książki dla dzieci online" (books for children online)

  • @magauchsein thanks :)

  • Being of Polish ancestry, I find it insulting that my great-grandparents never taught any members of my family to speak when they moved to America, at the fear of being "abnormal". :'( Stupid... anyhoo, on a more comedic note, leave it to the Pollacks to have an educational video featuring the Antichrist, anarchy (which, actually, I believe should be more prevalent in the educational system, overall... heh heh), and, of course, alcohol o_X. I will definitely be educating myself sometime soon...

  • @SpaghettiPepperRings the guy who made this lives in Germany ;)

  • I think the language sounds beautiful.

  • @MarqueeMoon95

really? it's so rare opinion about the polish language. Some people say that Poles have a funny accent when they speak polish.

  • @addmin000 Personally I love the sound of the words, I would love to learn Polish at some point. My family is distantly Polish so I feel like a have a link to it as well. But overall I just think it is a lovely sounding language, with a beautiful accent. I would love to go to Poland.

  • @MarqueeMoon95

It's nice to hear your opinion. So... all that's left for me to do is invite you to visit Poland. There are a lot of fantastic places to see (for example "Mazury"(a region in north-eastern Poland that is characterized by a lot of lakes there)).

Let me know your thoughts about accent of Poles when they speak english... Have you ever talked with Polish people?

  • @addmin000 I definitely intend to go there at some point. I have spoken to Polish people but not often of course, I personally like the accent when they speak English as well. I tend to like Eastern-European accents in general and I think the Polish accent is particularly nice whether speaking Polish or English.

  • @MarqueeMoon95

But we (because I'm also Pole) have some problems to speak correctly English accent... mainly due to our Polish accent (that we have in a blood), I think so. But it's a matter of much hours of traning.

Thank you for exchange of comments.

  • To all the people who learn Polish: I have a proposal :P I'll help you in Polish, and you'll help me in English ;D I don't know yet how, maybe we will write to each other or something. My English is not the best, but I'm working on it. Is anyone interested? :))

  • @dysiunia178

good deal, i am polish but i wasnt born in poland, my family died got no polish family anymore, havent spoken/written polish for so long i suck at it.

writting and grammar my problem, so what do you think? ja bede rozmawial po angielsku do ciebie a ty domnie to polsku.

  • @dysiunia178 from what you wrote your English really doesn't seem bad at all :) it's def a lot better than what little I know in Polish ;P

  • antychryst and anarchia....well, thats one way to start off Polish lessons ;P

  • hahaha

po co anarchia czy antychryst dla obcojęzycznych?

  • A lot of the words are very similar, almost identical to English.

  • what is absurd?

  • @Baebol

hmm, it is the same like "nonsense"

  • @hestia165 i knew that's what it meant in English, but they showed a girl with sunglasses in this video to go with absurd, so i was assuming it meant something else in Polish :/

  • Words very similar to English.

  • a srasz?

  • Thanks, your videos are very helpful

  • Admiral jest ale zapomnieliscie o jego Ambitnej i Amoralnej kochance oraz jego Arcyciekawej Antyfrancuskiej Armadzie :)

  • I think ananas is universal word, like computer ft example

  • cool video :) i'm just curious, are the polish and german languages similar, cuz i saw that your from germany

  • I'd say there is no use in learning Polish. Funny language which is being spoken in only one country in Europe. Sure, Polish poetry is nice and a language as a whole may sound attractive, though I believe it's hard and just worthless. I'd focus on English. I'm a Pole myself. Maybe not a pure one, yet I was borned here. ;)

  • Antychryst ma kota XD

  • It's hard language but I can help. :)

  • I have registered on your forum, how do I make a comment or join the discussion?

  • @Feisty1967

Got to the Introduce Yourself forum and introduce yourself :D I will meet you there :)

  • all words are simulr to russian)

  • Is Polish harder or easier for a Russian to speak? Is Russian harder or easier for a Pole to speak? These questions have puzzled me for the past 35 years!!!

  • @hazel10987

Polish and Russian are very similar (the same language family). I guess you can't really say that one of those languages would be more or less difficult. Obviously the way Russian write their language makes it much more difficult to learn. But both languages are easy to speak.

  • I am Braziliian. I have a Polish Boyfriend n I am Learnin polish wit ur lessons they r gd help :P:P Bt It's quare hard language :) I will get there :D:D at the moment ''mój polski jest do dupy''

  • @MrsRosiery

    polish boyfriend - stupid cow.

    multicultural fuks

  • @biohazard141 :O

  • @MrsRosiery oh yeah me too , m learning polish hoping to communicate with him and his family better. the words shown here are kinda easy to understand, if only i live near u, then probably we can learn it together. :)

  • For a man with English mother-tongue, how difficult is it to learn Polish and German on a scale from 1 to ten, with 1 being easy and 10 being most difficult?

I should think that Polish is much, much harder for an Englishman to learn than the German language, as German is so close, linguistically, to English.

  • @Fersomling

    German - 4. Polish - 7.

  • God!!! I was able to understand polish, but I didn't realized that!!!

  • Anarchia!

  • How do you write...

    'i am -------- years old'

    And what does this mean...

    'tylko'

    'jak'

    'jestem'

    'witam'

    'jestes'

    'jak masz'

  • @gul11and

'i am -------- years old' Ja mam --- lat (In Polish you say "I have --- years"

    'tylko' -only /exclusevely

'jak' "how" or "like - if you compare something"

'jestem' "I am" (In Polish very often it's not necessary to use personal pronouns because you declinate (give endings to verbs) differently to each person(s) so you can recognize if you talk about she or them etc. by the form of the verb)

    'witam' "hallo"

'jestes' "you are" (explenation look up)

'jak sie masz" "how do you do"

  • It's too hard to somebody who cant speak Polish

  • i understand abrakadarba means jibberish??

  • not really. Check the word: Abrakadabra in the wikipedia. It's quite interesting :)

  • Well its some like Hocus pocus- typical words which one are used by magician :P

  • @4545454545asp What is it abrakadarba? This word is used in magic tricks for example, "the focus mokus" Now do you understand?

  • Im 11 and i watched this 5 times and know these words! Thx a lot.

  • don't forget that those words: anarchia, antychryst, alkohol, absurd, aktor, abstrakcja and anonim are bad words. They are even not really Polish words. Don't use them.

"Anioł" and "akord" are nice words.

  • excuse me?? what do you talking about???? thats not bad words.,im polish and i know!!!! and they are polish words!!!!!

  • well just think: "anarchia" is bad because it's contrary to "order". Antychryst is bad because it oppose JC. "Alkohol" is bad depriving people of their health. "Absurd" oposits sens. "Aktor" fakes. "Abstrakcja" is useless. "Anonim" sucks. All of those words were adapted from other languages.

  • i dont know if they are adapted but ,,aktor,, is an actor in english so why do u say its bad words??? i dont understand you:(((

  • this arent bad words;) antychryst for example is not a bad word in my opinion;)

BUT he is right, all these words are not polish (to nie sa rodzime slowa...) sa to slowa spolonizowane, alkohol np. jest slowo arabskie!

  • For God's sake,i dont care where are they come from...english words are taken from ifferent language too i heard..so people dont make me angry because im polish and i know they arent bad words...

  • So are we still allowed to say these words in Poland?

and if I call someone Abstrakcja then im calling them useless?

  • castellano

  • alkohol musiał być hhaha

  • @Anasteyzya Ale zobacz jak fajnie przedstawili alkohol ;D

  • the cause of - and solution to - all of life's problems :D

  • Hahahahahaha!!!

    +1

  • abrakadabra hahaha o kur

  • ananas XD

  • This is great. I bought a textbook for Polish, but it didn't have a CD. Polish is difficult, especially because it's completely different from my language, Japanese. Wish I had a tutor, but these videos definitely help. Thank you!

  • I'm really happy I could help. We got more material on my channel (check the playlists) and on our site: solarnet tv. Please visit us. You could help us with Japanese :D

And if you ever visit Europe then come over and help me to make a lesson for Japanese :)

  • Hahaha Antychryst, anarchia xD

  • w sumie ta litera i te słowa mowią wszystko o polskim rządzie

  • abrakadabra xD

  • fajny pomysl zeby zaczac od slow ktore sa tez w innych jezykach: abstrakcja etc. Super! Szkoda ze nie ma holenderskiego odpowiednika. Pozdrowienia!

  • pracuje nad podobnym projektem, bedzie tam rowniez holenderski + 10 innych jezykow

Pierwsza "betha" wersja juz w przyszlym tygodniu :)

  • It helps me a lot! Although I would be happier if the words listed here were not foreign words (anarchia, ananas...) but original polish expressions (aby, ale...)

  • Thank you - I'm just starting to learn Polish and finding pronunciation difficult. This helps a lot.

  • anarchia, antychryst :D

  • Haha! It's so funny! :D anarchia, antychryst, abrakadabra and alkohol! Most important words xD But now seriously: video is really nice. I hope that it will encourage other nations to learn this beutiful language.

  • I want really congratulate and thank you for this amazing help in learning Polish language. I am studying at UAM, University Adam Mickiewicz, in Poznan, where I should go twice a year. Your work, for certain, help many others despite of their comments. Go ahead!

  • thank you :) visit us on solarnet tv :) Poznan is my hometown :)

  • hehe, same słowa obcego pochodzenia:

    alarm <- wł. <- łac.

    anarchia <- gr.

    antychryst <- gr.

    anioł <- gr.

    antena <- łac.

ananas <- tupi-guarani (niektóre polskie żródła podają błędnie "indyjski" - co to za język? - pewnie tłumacząc bez pomyślunku z angielskiego...)

  • dzięki, bardzo interesujące :D

  • aahhahaahah what the hell xDDDDDDD

    antychryst, anarchia hahahahahahha

    kto to układał? xDDDDDDDD

  • what the heck they teach you in Polski ahahahha anarchia antychyst hahahha

  • Why will I ever need to use abrakadabra?

    lol!

  • Hahh i can tech better Polish then that crap :::P

  • so why don't you do it? ofiaro losu :)

  • love it

  • Realmente útil. Eu presciso falar o polonês e essas aulas me ajudam bastante.

  • Tak! Homer Simpson!

  • My ancesters came to the US from poland. Now no one in our family even says are last name correctly. We gave up because no one except Polish ppl cant say it right.

  • what's your last name? Weglarz?

  • Węglarz?

  • ooh! what a shame! ^_^ you must learn polish! is cool! so you would say your second name correctly... would be funny to hear your 2nd name with american accent and with its right pronunciation =D

    greetings Weglarz!!

  • antychryst wymiata

  • damn I cant help it but my French accent comes out when I say these :( Does any one have any suggestions how to get rid of my accent while saying these?

  • Antychryst, anarchia, abrakadabra? Matko kochana :D:D:D

  • Abrakadabra, hokus pokus, czary mary... xD The last was the best xD That's quite hard to understand what kind of connection was between that pic and "abrakadabra" xD I think a wizard casting spell would be easier to understand...

And "antychryst" xD Who the heck would go to Poland and talk oabout antichrist?

And that sounds really creepy xD Like russian or... swedish?

No, to powodzenia antychrysty jedne xD To ja już wiem skąd się biorą ludzie gadający jak syntezator xD

  • abrakadabra xDD

    no nie moge....

  • it sounds like Turkish.abrakadabra :)))

  • @realkahula, I think that Polish word "abrakadabra" is a Turkish word what got to Polish language because of the history. This word doesn't mean anything in Polish except when u "cast a spell" u say "abrakadabra"...

  • To 'abrakadabra' mnie rozwaliło na koniec...

  • ja cie dużo ludzi stara się uczyć polskiego

  • Idioto pyry strugaj, a nie lekcji udzielaj.

  • abrakadabra? komu to się przyda? xD

  • I'm Italian, and I want to learn my girlfriend language...she speaks Italian, French, and English, now it's time that I do this big effort...obviously I'll use English as starting base, since Italian books from Polish to Italian are almost non-existent and live Polish courses and teachers are very expensive , so you can't learn it on your own...that is the cheaper way to learn any language I guess...

  • Buona fortuna. Vorrei fare la stessa cosa per il mio compagno di casa.

Questo tizio si che sa prenderti la piena attenzione. Anticristo?? Hahahaha

  • U can always ask some PL youtuber for a help. :)

  • oh my friedn i can say the same... my girlfriend is from Poland too... i have to learn her language

  • Please tell me it's not just me who's getting incredibly annoyed at haneline for showing off on all these videos. ^_^

  • You indeed aren't the only one... :)

  • Jaki pojebany ten alfabet. anarchia, antychryst, czego kurwa uczą. Nic dziwnego że nikt sie polskiego nie chce uczyć.

  • hahaha racja

  • I think it's a great idea that you made these lessons! The polish alphabet is very difficult and in 'normal'courses you don't get to see so many words with the same letter! Maybe it's an idea to also put the words into phrases, so people can make the combination of letters and sounds with other words.

  • I would say that Dutch is the most diffuclt language I ever heard(except Chinese of course:P )

  • Thats such crap! Try looking up language difficulty ratings! They aren't even in the same class! Polish in in the top 5 and Dutch is like 14!!!

  • that's my personal opinion, you don't have to agree.

  • namaskar!

these word reminds me of swedish. but when people talk polish it does not sound like swedish

  • Great course. Keep up the good work. Esta bien. Spasibo.

  • same words like on croatian:alarm,anarchia,antena,ananas,abstrakcja,akord,admirał,alkohol,abrakadabra. :)))

  • tut tut tut, naughty, swearing =D

    Dupa = Asshole / Arsehole

I'm learning Polish, but also getting taught swear words from Polish people from my school. I know loads more, but shouldn't write them really...

  • "real" student of languages....she said she lives in Croatia.. But yeah.. knowing what gruba dupa means obviously makes you better than everyone.. i'm in awe!

  • you're a bit rude to be a cultivated person

  • well,I'm from croatia and...we have some similar words.Heehh :))) it's god,i think polish is great

  • Love it. Add another language to my language learning collection. I already speak over 15, Spanish, Russian, Italian, German, Portuguese (Brazilian) etc fluently and learning 20 more. Great work.

  • Really? Where'd you learn all those languages?

  • wow its kewl

i wanna learn polish u know...

but theres no polish subject in my school =)

well, it really sounds like indonesian, my native

gr8,,,,,,,,,,,,, is der any unit for the "m" alphabet?

    i wanna hear, 'milosc' lol

  • wow , i had seen all the polish units that you

    uploaded .

great , if you will put more such polish lesson let me know !

  • this is good. i watch these everyday and each day i remember a little bit more. =]

  • anarchia i antychryst - moje typy :D

  • I like it! i see lots of work in here... Congratulations.

  • did you talk to cardinal Galen, the lion of Münster? :)

  • This is not bad at all. I do a Russian course, but graphically speaking it is nowhere as good as this. I wonder what software you are using to make these great graphics?

  • Thank you :) I use Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.

  • OK. It looks like I'd better save some money

  • I use those programs anyway, but the functions I use for the graphics are really basic and you can achieve it with the most of the free ware available on the net. It's really easy.

If you are in Münster/Germany by any chance then drop in I'll show you :)

The real problem is to get the sound clean. But this is a different story.

  • I used to drop into Muenster to se the Kettner store in the shopping precinct that looks a bit like a modern castle. I haven't been for about 8 years, but I might go again sometime. I've also been to the Cathedral when I was about 14.

  • Try pimsleur for learning Russian. That helps me, plus listening to radio stations from Russia on the internet and shortwave radio. Good luck.

  • I would like you to do something like this for Deutsch as well! It would help me build my German vocabulary!

  • That's a good Idea. I'll try :D
