Being of Polish ancestry, I find it insulting that my great-grandparents never taught any members of my family to speak when they moved to America, at the fear of being "abnormal". :'( Stupid... anyhoo, on a more comedic note, leave it to the Pollacks to have an educational video featuring the Antichrist, anarchy (which, actually, I believe should be more prevalent in the educational system, overall... heh heh), and, of course, alcohol o_X. I will definitely be educating myself sometime soon...
@addmin000 Personally I love the sound of the words, I would love to learn Polish at some point. My family is distantly Polish so I feel like a have a link to it as well. But overall I just think it is a lovely sounding language, with a beautiful accent. I would love to go to Poland.
It's nice to hear your opinion. So... all that's left for me to do is invite you to visit Poland. There are a lot of fantastic places to see (for example "Mazury"(a region in north-eastern Poland that is characterized by a lot of lakes there)).
Let me know your thoughts about accent of Poles when they speak english... Have you ever talked with Polish people?
@addmin000 I definitely intend to go there at some point. I have spoken to Polish people but not often of course, I personally like the accent when they speak English as well. I tend to like Eastern-European accents in general and I think the Polish accent is particularly nice whether speaking Polish or English.
But we (because I'm also Pole) have some problems to speak correctly English accent... mainly due to our Polish accent (that we have in a blood), I think so. But it's a matter of much hours of traning.
To all the people who learn Polish: I have a proposal :P I'll help you in Polish, and you'll help me in English ;D I don't know yet how, maybe we will write to each other or something. My English is not the best, but I'm working on it. Is anyone interested? :))
good deal, i am polish but i wasnt born in poland, my family died got no polish family anymore, havent spoken/written polish for so long i suck at it.

@hestia165 i knew that's what it meant in English, but they showed a girl with sunglasses in this video to go with absurd, so i was assuming it meant something else in Polish :/
I'd say there is no use in learning Polish. Funny language which is being spoken in only one country in Europe. Sure, Polish poetry is nice and a language as a whole may sound attractive, though I believe it's hard and just worthless. I'd focus on English. I'm a Pole myself. Maybe not a pure one, yet I was borned here. ;)
Is Polish harder or easier for a Russian to speak? Is Russian harder or easier for a Pole to speak? These questions have puzzled me for the past 35 years!!!
Polish and Russian are very similar (the same language family). I guess you can't really say that one of those languages would be more or less difficult. Obviously the way Russian write their language makes it much more difficult to learn. But both languages are easy to speak.
I am Braziliian. I have a Polish Boyfriend n I am Learnin polish wit ur lessons they r gd help :P:P Bt It's quare hard language :) I will get there :D:D at the moment ''mój polski jest do dupy''
@MrsRosiery oh yeah me too , m learning polish hoping to communicate with him and his family better. the words shown here are kinda easy to understand, if only i live near u, then probably we can learn it together. :)
For a man with English mother-tongue, how difficult is it to learn Polish and German on a scale from 1 to ten, with 1 being easy and 10 being most difficult?
I should think that Polish is much, much harder for an Englishman to learn than the German language, as German is so close, linguistically, to English.
'i am -------- years old' Ja mam --- lat (In Polish you say "I have --- years"
'tylko' -only /exclusevely
'jak' "how" or "like - if you compare something"
'jestem' "I am" (In Polish very often it's not necessary to use personal pronouns because you declinate (give endings to verbs) differently to each person(s) so you can recognize if you talk about she or them etc. by the form of the verb)
don't forget that those words: anarchia, antychryst, alkohol, absurd, aktor, abstrakcja and anonim are bad words. They are even not really Polish words. Don't use them.
well just think: "anarchia" is bad because it's contrary to "order". Antychryst is bad because it oppose JC. "Alkohol" is bad depriving people of their health. "Absurd" oposits sens. "Aktor" fakes. "Abstrakcja" is useless. "Anonim" sucks. All of those words were adapted from other languages.
For God's sake,i dont care where are they come from...english words are taken from ifferent language too i heard..so people dont make me angry because im polish and i know they arent bad words...

Love it. Add another language to my language learning collection. I already speak over 15, Spanish, Russian, Italian, German, Portuguese (Brazilian) etc fluently and learning 20 more. Great work.
This is not bad at all. I do a Russian course, but graphically speaking it is nowhere as good as this. I wonder what software you are using to make these great graphics?
I use those programs anyway, but the functions I use for the graphics are really basic and you can achieve it with the most of the free ware available on the net. It's really easy.
If you are in Münster/Germany by any chance then drop in I'll show you :)
The real problem is to get the sound clean. But this is a different story.
I used to drop into Muenster to se the Kettner store in the shopping precinct that looks a bit like a modern castle. I haven't been for about 8 years, but I might go again sometime. I've also been to the Cathedral when I was about 14.
Today is my third day learning polish, thanks for this videos.

Thank you :) I use Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.

OK. It looks like I'd better save some money

Try pimsleur for learning Russian. That helps me, plus listening to radio stations from Russia on the internet and shortwave radio. Good luck.

I would like you to do something like this for Deutsch as well! It would help me build my German vocabulary!
