yes, hank sr. was a rebel. he was a drunk. he had attendance problems at shows. i am not saying that sr was a good boy. he wasn't. what i am saying is that if you truly listen to the OLD recordings, not the rehashed cd's that you can buy now, but the ones he made in the late 40's and early 50's, he had a pain in his voice that neither jr or the 3rd have.
