@mountain177 I tried adding external antennas; increased my radius slightly, but not the quality of the signal. Maybe you'll have better luck. This was a long time ago....jesus....
ofc itl be different with u detuning things and an original fm reciver tuner will pick it up on a more acurate chanel number so to speak because of this good vid tho
pleas nightshademortis i have a wireless phone "logicom calis 200 and it's dasnt hade reglable coile .not probleme i just want to know wer is the input of the vioce or mic .think you
Wow dude, as I said I don't do Ham radio, I was just experimenting for the reason of transmitting music. What the component is called doesn't really matter to me as I've already done what I intended and don't plan on doing anything else in altering radio-devices.
that was just a little u can do big i mean i have a acoustic research aw-722 wireless headphone i did the tweak and u vil not believe i can receive air signals and police signals and a very clean quality of fm
i have to put 2 tuning nobs & 1 extra micro circuits 4 airplane signal & police signals
1) That would mean everyone who owns and uses a n iPod FM transmitter to listen to their MP3 player in their car is breaking the law.
2) I know enough to have gotten it to work without a tutorial.
3) No thanks.
4) Too wide? You mean it broadcast on too much of the spectrum? I agree.
5) I assumed that car radios would be better at receiving, I said nothing about them transmitting. I don't know why I assumed they were better at receiving...probably because of the antenna...I dunno...
I understand that I didn't really explain what I was talking about too well, lol. I had not written or rehearsed what I was going to say and so I was speaking more in my own head than I was out loud. Sorry for any confusion. But no, I don't anything about radio. I just assumed that since the headset worked on radio waves that the frequency might be alterable some how to transmit on a frequency that worked with an FM radio. I just happened to guess correctly.
honestly, I had assumed it was, but I didn't think the range would ever cause and problems with any authority, but I shall add it to the description so that anyone (unlikely that many people will ever watch this) that watches it will know without having to go the comments to find out.
wowowowowow. you know that the ipod fm transmitter............. is legal. it is approved by the FCC and Ofcom. this means this is legal, What you are doing is illegal because you have mad it, it takes to much band width up. It is illegal to transmitt on Band2. The ipod fm transmitter is approved it means ofcom and FCC dont mind it. Were your little contraption is not.
Yes it is modified. Witch means it is illegal. Go read FCC rules and then tell me im wrong. I have passed a ham radio license and had to studied these rules. But as Nightshades said: only if you want it to be legal so carry on. But im just sating the law to you.
I forget if I mention in the vid, I intended for using this with my car. I don't have the money for any tools or toys having to do with radio. Sadly. I had thought about it. My town is rather devoid of any good music channels.
you know that 9 volt board. ive got the same one. but i need to put an external antenna on it.

@mountain177 Also, be very careful if you tune that board. I actually broke the little bits on mine after just barely tuning it.

Hi. very good project however.
1. It is Illegal to transmit on Band2
2. Do you know what you are really taking about?
3. If you like doing this stuff become a radio ham.
4. It is way to wide
5. How can a car radio be more powerful because car radios dont transmit and also they dont really have a better receiver.
2e0bmi 3 years ago
You are truly the master of radio lol
It's illegal to transmit on the Band2 FM with a homebuilt transmitter if you're not licensed, btw.
theshortwavelistener 3 years ago
Then why do they sell FM transmitters for iPods?
NightshadeMortis 3 years ago
Because they're approved by Ofcom or the FCC and are allowed to be used. Plus they are ulta low-power (only a few milliwatts).
theshortwavelistener 3 years ago
Ah. Well mine doesn't go too far. It'd probably broadcast to the cars around me though, lol. I doubt I'll be arrested.
