I have no idea where you seen mud roads, this must have been a documentary from the 1990's or something. And we didn't have 20 years to build them. You make it seem like these last 20 years was all peace and prosperity. We have two wars before 1997 and then we had to take in an extra 33% of our population and feed those people and supply food for them. 2001 is when things finally calmed down. So why would we build roads if cars were banned? When democracy came in, roads were being built for the first time. That is why, your ignorance is shown. When did people die from famine in communist Albania or current day Albania ever? I want to see some proof of this because I am very interested in this comment that you made. Albanian immigrants are important to our economy I admit that. But what does that have to do with anything? Albanians are successful in host countries, always have been.

Yes in the world. Keyword: defensive meaning we could defend Albania but our offensive war power was not too great because we did not have modern air power so we could not travel long distances for offensive strikes. But defensive wise, Albania was the third strongest in the world. We could mobilize 500,000 soldiers within 15 minutes at any given time be it 3AM or 4PM. The reason we have a road problem is because unlike other communist countries, our government banned cars completely. Continued.

@tla123456 but was it weak before 1992? We had the third strongest defensive military in the world. Every nation has its good eras and bad eras. Germans are not superior to us. I don't have to claim equality to Germans because in my eyes, Albanians are FAR superior to Germans. To me there is no comparison between the two people. But in your eyes Germans are superior to Albanians. I think Germans were great (still inferior to us) under Hitler but today's Germans are weak little dogs in my eyes.

@tla123456 its hard to create a strong state when you have no alliances, no racial group linked to you that will help out of respect of similarities and enemies on all sides of the border. Look at Germany after WWI, it was poor, full of prostitution, gambling, drugs, gays, etc. Adolf Hitler is the only reason Germany rose back on its feet. Now the allies keep Germany rich so there is no source for nationalism in Germany again. Albania is poor now, yes you might be correct on that... continued.

We were Orthodox before Ottoman rise, and believed in magic even before. Lived a long time in communism totalitarism(no religion). We have globaly known all types of way to believe in faith....we are not stuck in religion like in most arabian states since it was a submision & not a message.... If you go in Albania, you will find really a few, & by a few i mean really not much who talk about religion. That's what's called being secular (laic).
