Immortal Technique is a fucking gimmick rapper, he has nothing on Jay-Z. Biggie made some great music in his day and probably would have out-shined Jay-Z if he hadn't died... but he did.

The metaphors he spits are ridiculous, and maybe his concept gets boring, but it's better than the bullshit most artists put out

@614sFinestENT the purpose of music and being an artist is just that: Art. it's to be appreciated for it's aesthetically pleasing aspects to the ear as well as the brain. If immortal technique is putting out super intellectual shit that isn't appealing to listen to, then he is being a successful teacher, but failing as a music artist.
As for Jay and Big on this track! They spit the hot fiya for my ears, i liiike, very much.

@crazydewd The purpose of music is for the artist to express one's self and make the listener feel something. It does not need to be pleasing to the ear at all. Black Angels by George Crumb is filled with dissonance and is considered a very iconic piece of music.

The only reason people such as yourself love tech so much is because of the supposed meaning behind his music (which, in many cases, is shallow) combined with his "rebel" personality.
