I find both are extremely borderline insane in a controlled way.

The english version captures dispair and the jittery craziness Lelouch feels very well whilst the japanese version is more ruthless insanity with a touch of actual humour laced within the laugh.

Both are great laughs :3

Both VA's did fabulous work on voicing Lelouch. Because really that guy PMS's and has mood swings worse than any girl i know.

I don't like the actual English dub of this shoe at all, but I have to admit the laugh is very good. However, the Japanese version just has a very insane sound that the English doesn't give Lelouch, so the Japanese is still better.

This is one of the few anime in which I prefer the dub to the Japanese version. I just love Suzaku and Lelouch's VA's they did an excellent job in my opinion

Both sound pretty good to me as both show a different part of Lelouch's character. The dubbed makes him appear defiant of fate (and maybe a little startled by his abilities as an efficiant leader). The subbed gives him a hint of pomposity as he is slowly beginning to realize he can succeed in his vision.

Regardless of my opinions on the laughs, I do find that both of Lelouch's voice actors did an exquisite job portraying such a complexed character.

The dub actors probably are told to mimic the laugh as close as they can, so it doesn't sound all that "different" from the original. Still, that is pretty darn creepy.

I don't know how Lelouch voice sounds in the dub, I only know this laugh. But the Japanese Lelouch laugh sounds just like how his character is voiced throughout the whole anime. It describes him well. Anyways, I find the dubbed version of Lelouch very good. Normally I don't think much of dubs, but this is cool. Yay for Johny Young Bosch
