  • how can u take the british army serious when ppl in jamaica beat them with stones and cutlass and gain independence

  • @KeepEuropeWhite alright, my apologies, even though I probably won't agree with everything you stand for I do agree that the person who did that is scum

  • @KeepEuropeWhite who the hell would give asylum seekers a 1.2m mansion? No one that's who

  • @KeepEuropeWhite how can a family of asylum seekers live in a 1.2m mansion? They aren't allowed to buy property. LOL

  • @KeepEuropeWhite Nobody will listen to a racist.

  • What is the requirements to join the army air corps as Groundscrew?

    eg the score ? medical?

  • its the stuff they do that they dont tell you about which you have to realize. at some point in training they will lauch a suprise attack on you and interrogate you and put you through a whole load of nasty shit and torment you for a long period to the point where you think they are gonna kill you. that ain't really good shit for a young kid to be going through. just bear in mind that the brouchures are not what being in the army is really like. you'll soon see its not what it was made out

  • @210482fmj You're pretty stupid if you think it's bad for something like that to happen. If the correct training wasn't given, how is one to know what to do in a life threatening event?

  • Enlisted cannon fodder.

  • who*

  • how ever is joining i wish you good luck and will hopefuly see you out in Afghanistan. Good luck lads 'n lasses, enjoy it.

  • well i was an investment banker earning stupid money and fancied a change so joined the parachute regiment cos i wanted something that would challenge me. believe me the army is for everyone! ive got mates from private school tht joined up as a soldier rather than officer and they are most popular in platoon

  • Im 16 and planning on joining in september. im unfit thou and need to get fit and lose a little bit of weight ASAP ! can someone give me some tips? iv always wanted to join the army and i think its about time to chase the dream thanks :)

  • @JSTWbritishTROOPER mate i was so unfit i couldnt do jackshit a pressup and i was recovering for dayz lol my advice train ur ass off i trainned 4 months evryday before i enterd the army , runing is the best thing ever to do gives u stamina streingh and evrything from doing 16 press ups to 65 , from 45 sit ups to 80 from 14 minutes a mile and a half to 11 or 1030 its all in your head lk i allwayz say fight hard win easy nothing in this world worth getting comes easy u love it fight for it

  • @larylilshit1

ha yeah, sod the R.A. commandos who send in artillary when marines are in the shit, and yeah sod the signallers and engineers who use radios and blow holes in walls for you.. yeah sod them

no offence, but just cause RMC training takes 30 weeks, doesnt make them god's gift to soldiering. I respect them, but they are just glorified Rifle brigades.. they do the exact same job as army infantry. even the rifles have a commando brigade.. the only difference is the capbadge.

  • Comment removed

  • @larylilshit1

well they dont do anything different to the Rifles do they? apart from amphibious landings.. and i wouldnt want to be a commando anyway, id rather be 9PARA- airborne engineers.

  • @soldierside365

Infantry arent trained to survive in arctic climates though, uv got to remember their navy not army.

  • @DodgyIdeot

that is true.. however you (well not YOU) have to be slightly backward to suggest that RMC can function by themselves without 34 eng. reg. and the artillary equivalent etc..

but not all of them have to train in arctic climates do they? as far as im aware, and i may be wrong, but its an optional course like sniper school.. if you know for a fact that im wrong, let me know..

  • STOP arguing u dumb fucks!...just enjoy the video like every body else...!!..the less u tok the less u become faggots!!!......capishh!!!!!.....

  • @sniper500x ''apology'' accepted, got anymore? that it?!

  • @sniper500x Did I touch a nerve, eh Bog trotter? I know Cromwell is gone, but his legacy lives on, must cut you up knowing that eh? the Taliban are around, but not forever, just like you and your kind, so go, do as you wish, flame youtube videos, chant your slogans, curse the british see how far it gets ye! ''sniper500''

  • @sniper500x go comment on the potato video's, you clueless fucker blessing of cromwell upon ye!, oireesh turd

  • what good is money if you are unable to spend it. these troops get fed hardly any food. they are in short supply of everything in afghanistan. don't be fooled by their glossy brochures. they certainly make use of the color red.

  • people in the army are so lucky i wish i was in

  • Yes if you are 17 and have no qualifications, like 20 hours days for 70 pence an hour while men shout at you for fun then there maybe an opportunity for you to get your brains blown out for the latest labour governments crusade across the middle east.

  • 24 hour days I can't remember but £45 a day £1200 take home if i remember correctly that's tax accommodation food gas electric and well everything you twat...

  • no w8 did u say the army attracts thuggish behaviour, no fuck you

  • too fucking right retrobabe

  • If you honestly believe that, I feel sorry for you. Run along now soldier.

  • Can't I just watch a video on youtube without being constantly confronted by fucking keyboard heroes in the comments section?? The army has a reputation for attracting people with a thuggish mentality - why prove that to every man and his dog by acting like angsty little pratts on internet vids to promote a career with them? Man up and fucking grow up.

  • Well if you do rejoin Soldier, I suggest you do us all a favour & get some ANGER MANAGMENT before you do so. People like you are unfortunately incapable of directing your aggression at JUST the enemy, if you catch my drift. Talking of daft, I suggest you READ a comment before you have an attack of the 'verbal shits' over it doll, I didn't once say anything about mental retardation. As for thugs, I wasn't referring to ALL in the army, just majorly short-fused individuals like you. Grow up.

  • anyone know if you can join the army if you wear contacts?

  • i hv the same question but i suppose u can i mean y not? also depends where u r going

  • You will definitely have to get an eye test before you apply. I think you can. But there's only one way to find out! Give it a go, I thought I couldn't join cause i'm colour blind, but my application has just been accepted and I got my tests coming up.

  • @10sausage01 You can if you have contacts because my brother has them and he's in the army. I don't think your allowed in if your colour blind, though.

  • You will have a eye sight test and that will see if your eyes are good enough.

You cant wear eye contacts in training but you either take your own glasses or or issued with a pair.

  • Look at 2:47. I had no idea the regular British Army used M16s, I know some of their special operations groups do.

  • A L85 is an M16?? Yes...

  • I mean look at it...looks just like an M16 to me, has the carrying handle and everything.

  • It is definately not. The SA80 mark 2 comes with iron sights on the carrying handle same as the M16, but it is normally replaced with a susat sight system.

  • @AmgCNoNickname dont think so

  • Sorry, i was being sarcastic to TheGeneralHimself92.

  • nah a l85a1 or a2 is made by H&K in germany same as the l86a2 light support weapon, the sas use M4,s on operations and m16,s on some aswell, but the british armys standard weapon is the l85a2 now :)

  • @Harcorefolife The a1 is made entirly by Enfeild, The A2's Gas parts are made by H&K

  • That's an L85 bro...

  • whya are they all jordys lol

  • its GEORDIE you thick cuny

  • does it matter you bellend

  • fuck of ya daft cunt

  • go rim ya mum you silly sod

  • english army always the best in the world

  • you mean British ? English is a name of laguage

  • lordflanderwell is problay one of those people that were unlucky and dident pass selection for the army, if so i am sorry. but i joined the army in 1996 and have ever since enjoyed it. you meet knew people and get travel the world. i'm not telling people too join the army or to not join the army it's up too you. i'm just saying that lordflanderwell is a dickhead who will one day get his ass kicked by someone cause he thinks that he is so hard talking to people behind a computer screen.

  • ive applied for rlc port op driver done me barb test.

  • lordflanderwell, your attitude stinks! if everone was like you, we would be speaking german!

anybody reading this that is thinking of joining the forces, dont let the words of one person put you off.

  • silence silly child.

  • im o tbeing full of myself but i reckon i could get through phase 1

  • I have atheriters it is not bad enough and NEVER has been to the point were i cannot walk or run. My atheriters does not play up attal will i still be able to join ?

  • wilmot... keep it quite dont make it a big deal dont mention it. see if you can get ur doctor to not mention it. If they see you peform with it before they hear of it then thats always better...

  • Thankyou, if they did hear of it would they not let me in ?

  • a bit so/so im not 100% BUT "be the best" and if you go out to fight or do something and it plays up could fuck up alot of people :\

  • will doctors not mention it if you ask them

  • well... some may mention it, others may not

  • they will most likely find out about it but just say like your not sure if you will suffer, it doesnt affect you at all or something

  • probably not mate how old are you ?

  • 17years and half of age, it does not even bother me tho iv been out in the snow all week, i train for running events im fine

  • Seletion 7th Jan.. Pirbright!!!

  • Anyone know how fast you need to complete the 1.5 mile run for the paras?

  • 9.18 (9 minutes, 18 seconds)

  • ive got Juvenile arthritis and ive had no pains for 4 years and now ive got my adsc on the 7th on jan in scotland and i cant wait

  • I was hoping someone on here would kindly give me some information, hopefully someone has is or has served. I have a friend who has recently shown intrest in joining the Army. The thing is I only recently found out that with Asthma within 4 years he won't be allowed. As far as I know he hasn't had any SERIOUS attacks recently, but has been given inhalers within the last 4 years. Do you think he can pass the medical? I want to be a bit more confident in the answer before I let him know, thanks.

  • There is no real answer to that, I'm afraid mate. With medical stuff it's just not possible to give an answer. You'll / He'll have to speak to the recruiters.

  • Yeah I thought as much pal, i'm not really looking forward to telling him the news but I will pass on the LACO number to him and he can get the answers himself. Thanks for the quick reply!

  • ive got my medical in a couple of weeks if i get a good time in the running will help you pass and what sort of thing do you have to do in the medical for 2days

  • cant wait to join you lads!

  • i want to join up but my fittnes worrys me i'm not over weight but i'm chubby and i'm shit at press up's and pull up's will this affect my chences of getting in2 the army.

    can some1 raply please

  • dont worry mate you should just qeep traning. i gess im a lil tubby too. maybe just buy a cople of 3kelo waghts and go run often and try eating less crud youl be good to go in no time a bet.

    good luck when you join

  • the standerd of fitness u need to be at will depend on your job choice m8... but you do need to be physically fit... just make sure you exercise everyday an make sure you run a lot an you should be fine... the more you do the better... u can nvr do enough :)

  • Shaun, Infantry require a good level of fitness to handle the training you will do, you don't need to be super-fit, but that doesn't mean you should put an effort in. Make sure you can atleast do 20 push-ups and 50 sit-ups as a minimum, then you should have no problem with handling PT, they build you up slowly, your not expected to be extremely fit. Running is free and the BEST measure of keeping fit, also completely ignore any purely fatty foods like chocolate, etc; eat well. Good luck!

  • im looking forward to this but im still waiting for the doctor to pull his fuckin finger out and send off the medical form, bin almost two weeks now! can anyone tell what the medical is all about when you get there, cheers.

  • mate, what i di when they were takein ages is give em a ring an kiss the arse be stupid polite, mine came just a few days after. and ur medical is somthing u shouldnt worry about because if u are gona faol then u cant do anything bout it, its just a load of tests though

  • Height and weight measured.

you will be asked to do some hops, jumps, squats and press-ups to ensure you are fit to endure this training.

Make applicants will have there scrotum checked to ensure they do not have a hernia or scrotal swelling

    (15 min naked)

The doctor with check your medical records for pre-existing injures and you must confirm that its true, and non-disclosure will result in an immediate discharged.

    (dental health)

    ~

    phase 2, 2nd parachute regiment

    thats off the exact sheet

  • anyone tell me what is involved in the medical?i've had asthma about 10 years ago and thats gone, thank fuck.

what sort of things do they pick up on?

  • Your asthma will be fine you need to be 4 years clear, they look on the records and see when you last got medication or reported syapmtons if it's not within 4 years you'll be fine.

  • I'm scared about joining the army because of my fitness. I'm not really fat or anything, I'm a nice size 12, but I'm really worried since I my stamina is shit. I'm a 16 year old girl, and I only wanna be in it for a few years, then leave because I want to do other things in my life, as much as I expect I'd love it and never want to leave. I'm currently working on stamina, but it's so hard!

  • ive got ur number

  • Yeah, im the same as you. My upperbody is fit as fuck as i used to do body building but now i cant run for shit. but im not in a rush to join so ima keep running nd build fitness up. Good luck and im 16 too.

  • Yep same here babe. Stamina wasnt that good but pull ups sit ups were okay.

I run alot now and ask your recruiter about run-club if you signed up in London. they run it weekly to condition you for the selection process

  • grow up,they will accept ANYONE!

  • U been through selection yeh ?

  • served 8 years.manpower shortages have lead to a lowering of standards.some of the new guys we were getting werent fit to wear the uniform.

  • I stand corrected

  • maybe you will raise the standard!

  • I hope. Set an example lol

  • good luck mate, still the best army in the world!

  • what did you join th army as, out of wonder?

  • infantry, not saying it was coldstream guards...but well.join up and get raped and bullied by the last lot of no-hopers who were once civilians desperate for a job.lets face it no-one joins unless they are desperate,or have been fooled by the constant adverts.

  • Comment removed

  • is that why joined then? lol, sounds like you loved it... it gives people a chance who can't get a job hope though...like the bad lads on th street... and it gives you a good trade, especially if you join REME... i wanna join th kings troop....i bet you dont regret joining though did you?

  • its the end of the line.if you wanna learn a trade, learn it in civvy street.the army is for mugs who cant get a job in civvys.once you leave, employers dont wanna know.despite what ur told.employers are too "wary" of ex-soldiers,they tend to not fit in with civvy workers,on account of all the brain-washing theyve been thru.google deepcut/pirbright (pre ATR days)(was guards depot)i was there an know EXACTLY what happened.pce.UR WORTH MORE MATE!!

  • thanks f th words of warning pal, yur bound t know after all... i stand corrected.

  • no probs..if you do join ,join a unit worthy of YOU! like 3para!pce

  • Im definatley not a thug off the streets, infact, the the complete opposite, i join the army because i care about protecting U.K and Iraq, don't speak bullshit, your sending off the wrong message about the army...

  • i speak bullshit...about deepcut...google it you little prick.its still covered up to this day.plus you sound too much of a mummys boy for BA.

  • Says you, propbably to thick to even pass the BARB test, i spoke a paragraph on youtube, and im a mummies boy? you must have xray vision or be completely stupid. I think its obvious which one is correct.

  • number 1,you dont need brains for barb test,2 ,i joined up 1991(test was different)3, i served 12 years,4 ,i will cut your fuckin mothers throat if you speak to me again.you are a fag.join up..pleez..i still have buddies in there who will rape you.

  • I sppose you think your a hard man saying that ul slit my mothers throat? good luck on finding my mother, cuz shes dead. You fcuking low life, please get some bollocks then speak to me.

  • i fuck ur mothers corpse.listen boy,ur out ya depth.ill meet u say where.out theres the beast, and he is hungry tonight...

  • lol wot a bell end haha

  • bra that not nice to say,

you are the only one that looks bad now

and the British army looks after it's men that's why so many saffies and zimbos join.

  • you will learn.

  • ur not even in the forces, ur the civvy cunt

  • correct left in 98.

  • cool, what were you in, im in the light dragoons

  • yeah right..ever heard of op-sec?

  • wtf are you on about? a guy who joins the Army isnt always a grunt! most are just your average middleclass bloke looking for a job.

any way a guy who joins the army dosent want a "normal civvy job" and would easily find a job in the fire service, police, armed police, security forces, etc any thing that requiers fitness and unique skills.

I dont think an x soilder would want to sit in a office all day or sit behind a counter.

  • spoken by someone who has clearly never served in the army,"middle-class!"..lol,you asshole...alot do sit behind desks fyi....also you are a typical misguided fool.sign up,lose a limb, get thrown on the scrapheap!you will learn.

  • Officers?? im joining as an Officer, what class are they?

ive got A levels is that enough? i dont agree all soilders are grunts mate, but maby im wrong.

what do you think of the Army as a job?

  • if thats the best you can do with ur education (well done with A levels btw) then good luck.the army is now nothing more than a tool of U.S. foriegn policy.they will promise you the world to get you in,when they have done with you,you are cast aside like rubbish.ask urself this...why now is there all the ads for the army, and the cod4 style ads.how many other "careers" have to "hard sell"like the army?think why!

  • nah I have the opertunity to go and do a degree etc, but Ive allways wanted to become a Soilder in the Army and serve my country. Im middle class, never realy associated with grunts etc or the Underclass, so would you realy say most in the Army are Grunts? id like to know your veiw seams as you served in the Army.

I would say though the worst of the worst wouldnt bother joining the Army as I cant see them putting in the effort, what do you think?

    thanks yeh A levels over : )

  • mate, dont be a grunt. i met a few at my selection. i asked a guy how old he was and he said he was 18 and he would be 17 in november. and there was a 26 year old who couldnt read or write. grunts get treated like absolute shite and get shit accomodation and food. best be an officer

  • @FlytheUnionJack

Yeah there are all kinds of guys in the army. I belive many are people who are looking for a challenge or and adventure.

  • whats the run club? i need to get fit for the army lol but would you have to be signing up to do the run club?

  • Theres no obligation to join at this point.

  • i get to apply in january carnt wait can anyone explain what the training is like?

  • well u got to phase 1 so u wer doing sumit right gd luck to u

  • gt slection on 1st october so any1 going then al cya

  • a shud be going to army slection in nxt couple weeks like hopefully it will go well like

  • anyone going for selection on 17?¬!

  • umm mate you dont need any qualifications

  • erm u dont need any qualifications, :S

just a good barb score for engineering

also combat medical technician thts wat im doing and i only failed because of gerry cans but i passed everything else

  • i dropped the jerry cans aswell, but i did a really good run and i still passed

  • im well pissed i was going for engineers but then i got a E in maths i couldent join but i got c in science and c in english gutted

  • Sorry to hear mate. You know, you could go for Infantry or Artillery. Those require no qualifications what so ever.

  • mate you dont need ANY qualifications to joined i joined and i had nothing good no As or Bs, kust join i did and they teach you

  • What everyone doesn't realise is the expierience they'll expierience in the battle field it's not easy in there and most of the "classes" acctually do go into war.

  • no u dont they train u to do ur job :P u dont have to have any experience but it can help in places but still no u dont

  • lol, not quite....why don't you do some research and get back to me

  • of what?

  • selection on the 31st

    am shittin it lol

  • My medical is on the 15th lol Selection on the 19th lol

  • just to get through the selection...I'M GOING TO WORK AND WORK AND WORK AND WORK UNTIL I BECOME READY!I'M NOT GOING TO GIVE UP A DREAM THAT EASILY!

  • i want to join the army when im old enough. i have been looking on the choices in the army of what i would LIKE to do. could someone please explain to me what an Armourer does?

  • i was with the Singapore army, and ovr here the armourer takes responsibility of the the maintenance of the coy's weaponry. hope it helps

  • yes thanks that helped. if the army needed an armourer to fight would it be able to? sorry i couldent think of a better way to put it.

  • their specialty does not lie in combat, and they form what we call the service/support group. they do not necessarily be in actual combat though they play an important role 'behind the scenes'. if push comes to shove no doubt they, as any good soldier should, be equipped with the necessary skills to fight.

  • Scott,

An armourer fixes/makes hand guns, rifles and machine guns. In the army these are traditionaly stored in the armoury. Hope this helps?

  • thanks :)

  • Got my first interview today :) so kinda nervous been up since 5am lol.

  • im just waiting to get a date for my fitness test but have been told if i pass it(which im pretty sure i will)ill be joining full on 13 july...they ask u how soon do u want to join they give u afew dates and then u pick...i was offered 1st june & 13 july....
