I think this song has a great message, about not being oppressed and made to believe things you don't want to. It's really empowering to listen to. It beats me why you ask such a question out of nowhere, but since you asked - look, there are many gods, mind you. So why do people believe in a certain god? Because they were indoctrinated to do so, no more no less. So if they weren't religiously indoctinated, I guess they would choose a god that they find to fit their tastes more, which is pretty much logically against the whole idea of faith. As for me, it's really quite a reason for faith in any god to be meaningless. Just my opinion, though
