Awesome! A Mom who uses her brain vs mindlessly adhering to a Dr who see's the baby a few minuets a month, while peddling products they make money from.
you have been very kind to share your experience with everyone. i agree that doctors may not be able to assess correctly and tend to follow standard protocols.
So we tried similac isomil the doctor told us to try that and he still had the same problem but he then started puking up all the time so we are trying this formula your daughter is on we have been on it for 2 days and he pooped the next day on it without crying and it was normal im hoping this was the issue and we solved the problem otherwise shes going ot have us go to childrens to see whats goign on
if only i would of tought to look up online that milk allergy was possible. i wouldnt of gone throught the scare i went through. for me my baby boy didnt spit or vomit. he pooped blood! every diaper after a feeding filled with BLOOD, he takes neutramigen now. it was expensive but i found out that care 1st will pay for it. so if u have medical with a plan use it!
Hey Laci, have you tried Similac Sensitive? My son was a milk allergy too and I was put on Hypoallergenic formula and it was too expensive so I tried Similac Sensitive and he has done wonderful. He is lactose free and they sell it at Sams club so you can buy in bulk and save a ton of money. JJ and my son have the same issues. I hate the eczema on his sweet little face. I feel your frustration but you are doing a great job!
I use powder with bailey and she still spits up! she is 7 months already but spits but like she did when she was born. the dr said not to worry but maybe i'll try the liquid and see if that helps.
I'm did and sill am going through the same stuff you are with your daughter. It was so hard being a new mom and have your daughter cry constantly and to not know why. Thinking about it brings tears to my eyes because it was so hard. Nice to hear your video and know I'm not the only mom out there who is dealing With this. Thanks for the video. If you ever want to chat and share tips and stories let me know. :)
sorry to hear about your baby. i am so blessed my baby has no allergys she just have gas so she is infamil gentlease. I bless you and your family. she is getting so big. my daughter doubled her weight at 4 months now 15lbs but my daughter is short only 22inches. but that is gentic i am 5'4 and my husband is 5'6 so she will be short too. glad everthing is going good for your fmaily. now. are you feeding you daughter baby food now? i am she loves green beans. lol
I am glad that I helped you out with the symptoms of when Peyton got his milk protein allergy. Its a very hard thing to deal with knowing that he/she has those problems, and even though we don't smoke and were not around smoke that they might develope Asthma because of this. Anyways.. your such a great momma.. keep up the good work.
I am good. I need to do more videos. I have quite a few in mind. its just getting to them and getting them done is the problem. lol. i think I might do an update tomorrow or something. We will see. How are you?
My daughter only had the ready-to-feed or concentrate...powder is way too frothy and causes gas. I also have heard that many people do not shake it up as much as they should and therefore are jipping their babies out of critical nutrition.
my daughter is on similac sensitive b/c of the spitting up she started around 4-6 weeks shes no 16 weeks, i added cereal after 2months and it helps
question is- the regular similac she wasn't pooping at all, maybe once ever 8 days and our old dr said oh its fine , so we switched and the new dr said he may have a little allergy to milk so the sensitive is good and gave us a liquid laxitive we but in her bottle once a night and shes finally going every 2-3 days now...did she have a problem like?
sorry to hear about all that. Hint if she is having probs now you may have to try all kinds of diffrent milk when she truns a year that or SLOWLY take her off of what shes on but then its so up to you how long you really keep then on formula. that or see if they have a step 2 of the formula you are fgiving her now best luck.
I HATE when dr. and nursed and everyone ALWAYS say it COLIC! I about went crazy after my daughter was born in July.. She spit up all the time and cried like she was so hurt and was never happy and they told me is was COLIC and i said NO ITS NOT! Its something else.. They finally put her on some meds because she has acid reflex really bad and she has been perfect ever since!
wow is she okay now? my son is always crying but no rash or runs he gained a lot of weight so far. I hope everything is okay. by the way your earrings are awesome and i love that top.
I totally understand your frustration. When the doctor told me that the chances of my daughter having asthma are "significantly increased" because of the allergy and rash, I was in tears. Like you said "I didn't smoke." I've not touched a cigarette in my life...and have done everything "right." I guess we just don't make our own plans. To date, though, she is happy and healthy. :)
LOL I was just about to email you about this! I was wondering if little one has a milk allergy....Did she throw up every time after eating or just sometimes?
Leah may be allergic to bovine protein in dairy (and maybe in beef), but we're still in a testing phase. Those symptoms are the common symptoms that the doctor looked out for, but she didn't have it. All she had was blood in her stool. I really hate how some doctors think it's this or that when it's something more. Good for you for switching and listening to your instincts! We got our doc appt. cancelled today, so we have to wait until next week for another follow up with the blood in stool
Tatum's was not as severe as JJ's, but when we switched her to soy it was just like you said she was a totally different child....amazing. Maybe she will grow out of it though, Tatum did.
Don't beat yourself up about the asthma!! I didn't smoke or anything like what you said and Austin has asthma and Tatum has restrictive airway disese, so smoking can cause it, but sometimes it happens just because.
We couldn't use powder either!! It does make a huge differrence!!
I'm sorry you had to go through all this :[ I def know how hard it is to have a child w/ asthma, it's very hard. I hope JJ doesn't have to go through that. What strong little girl you have, she overcame all those obsticles :]
