  • The influence the work of Anne Bancroft has had on my life is tremedous. I have carefully studied her graceful gate and her subtle smile, trying to implement the that "je ne ce quois" quality in my life. Anne Bancroft is the ultimate sexy woman, in appearance, presentation and substance.

  • Ps, she died much too soon, too young. I was still living in Europe and watching the Oscars shown in the wee hours of the morning and saw that Anne Bancroft had died, I was stunned and cried like a baby. How foolish but she was a light in a darkening world. So a great loss.

  • thank you for this. she is one of my life long favorites. she is brilliant in everything. they don't mention garbo talks, 54charing cross road, charming.... gi jane... magnificent. whatever the role, large or small she is luminous and takes over the screen. i rarely like remakes and especially competing with Carole Lombard was daring. But Anne was wonderful in To Be or Not to Be. To see her, hear her was to be on Olympus with the Gods. Thank you a thousand times.

  • How old is she? Well, it doesn't really matters. She is a so Beautiful, so sensual, so interesting woman! I suspect she'll be the same until her last breathe.

    I just love her.

  • I remember seeing a repeat vid clip of her on the Wogan Show in the U.K. in the 80's with Christopher Lloyd from Back To The Future. They both refused to speak to Wogan throughout the entire interview. I'm no fan of Wogan, but I did feel sorry for him being humiliated like that on national tv. Lloyd & Bancroft had no class.

  • She was such a terrific actress - extremely convincing. A real loss.

  • If you're just discovering Ann B., check out a flic, 88 Charing Cross Road... its got Anthony HOpkins as well... Ann is simply wonderful. Big time Ann Fan.

  • It's 84 Charing Cross Rd., with Anthony Hopkins, a 1986 movie. I admired her so much. She was so very talented. The kind that comes along very seldom. She made her mark in the movies, and will be remembered for a very long time, as well as all the very entertaining movies that she was in.

  • I've always liked her. She was pretty and a very talented actress--not to mention a funny and intelligent lady. Poor Charlie! He can barely contain himself! :)

  • Oh, I'm in the first 5 minutes and I have to say that Ms. Bancroft was really a beutiful woman and her voice was so nice- not for her age,do you understand...deep,but still young!

I'm sorry that I've *discovered* her now, not earlier...Thanks for this!
