hola micky013, la cancion se llama Let´s dance y es de david bowie, pero no se si esta que usa grandmaster flash es un remix, posiblemente. De todas formas, si tienes el DJ HERO es uno de los temas que puedes encontrar en el. Es muy bueno.
That whole "plays more to the crowd" is irrelevant, ALL jocks play to the crowd, even the ones u have at the top. The game has progressed and that's what ur basing your opinion on, on TODAY'S turntablist and their skills, TODAY. Who u think set the bar at the beginning? Who u think inspired Dj Grand Wizard Theodore? Who then later inspired Dj GrandMixer DST..who then later inspired Dj Q-Bert...who then later inspired a boatload of others? And again, EVERY last one of them plays up to the crowd.
Wow, this really reminds me of these dope 90's Hip Hop parties in London called This Is How We Do It. The next one's on May 9th at Bar Lorca in Tufnell Park I think...
oh shit....i was there with my girl that night. i remember i read in the paper that GMF was going to be at the basquiat exhibit (i missed peanut butter wolf earlier). when i told her about it she had no idea what i was talking about. we went and both had a rad time.
FUCKIN A MAN I WAS THERE WITH MY SON AND MY WIFE ...ONE NIGHT I WILL NEVER FUCKIN FORGET ..THIS OLD B-BOY GOT TO DANCE TO GMF MIX!THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTIN THIS SHIT....dave
Bronx NYC is in Da House. Ah you gotta call a the founding fathers of the genre. Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel, Kurtis Blow, 8th Wonder, DJ Herk, Afrika Bambataa, and even KRS one even though he came along a little afterward. Anyhow that's my opinion. RPT BX NYC Old Skool cuts galore. I'm out
I think that the one who invented hip hop was Kool Dj Herc, he was the first one to extend the breaks in the record, Afrika Bambataa and Grand Master Flash were from the same time, but not the first ones, althoug they are LEGENDS.
Grandmaster Flash was the First to keep the beat going on the beat. The others were playing the same break from two records but Flash was the first to do it on the beat! All LEGENDS though, like you say. PEACE!
I seen him in Australia, what a great show he is not an egotist and just rocked the crowd, I felt everyone was comfortable.I never did dance with so much honestfun minus (steriotyped testosterone crap of regular hip hop shows) to hiphop as I did to his set EVER
I was gonna go to this, but I didn't because homeboy called me and said the line to get in was 6 blocks long. Thanks for posting this!! I shoulda went. Once in a lifetime, huh?
OMG! Tommy Boy, twin SLS, Bowie in the mix, cratedigging, Tommy Boy, De La Soul sample, old-time cussin, my Adidas-style trainers, Flash is 100% old skool in the real definition. He still knows how to force those hands into the air...
