  • how long do these spiders live?

  • @TheBrawlmaster98 This specimen lived about 2 years. I think that's pretty much it.

  • @TheBrawlmaster98 until you step on them.

  • Highly venomous and a bad attitude. Not a good combination.

  • where can i get one ??

  • that thing is pissed

  • they have been known to run up broomsticks used to prod them and bite the hand. i guess the stick the guy is using is too thin for the spider to run up so he is safe.

  • @keeyk118b yep, you got the point

  • How did you acquire this spider? Must sell for high a high price...

  • christ! what an strike! that spider makes. to be honest Ive seen sydney funnel web spiders strike, and perhaps they have the bigest fangs, but theire strike is very straigth forward. this brazilian fucker can actually rotate his body, to several different angles, and can still manages to make an powerfull strong strike, despite the position it has. and I think its also faster generelly then a sydney.

respect for those who have one as a pet, you are very brave.

  • it wasnt stupid to provoke it in a controlled environment as that was the whole point of the clip..., however, underestimating this spider is a one way ticket outta here

  • There is two spider species more deadly than the Brazilian Wandering Spider. Not including Scorpions.

  • @kurtanglekobebryant as far as im aware the amount of venom required to induce fatality in mammals and humans makes this the most toxic as far as venoms concerned.

  • @sixaxion most toxic to humans, and most aggressive, and can jump. Basically stay the fuck away from them lol

  • @STFUbelgium Maybe it is stupid, but the meaning of this clip is not to show how you can play with a wandering spider. This is an example of it's behavior on a good day. I've had a lot of spiders as pets since I can remember, and I'm fascinated to keep almost everything that has +6 legs. But the point is, Do not get a Phoneutria if you don't have a lot of experience. I myself don't get venomous snakes! I would take this spider over a viper on any day.

  • @DJAlMighty247

its still pretty stupid, but i understand now.

    Nice video

  • @STFUbelgium Thanks! Just making sure that this is not a show off-clip ;-)

  • @DJAlMighty247 Lol, I remeber trying to milk one of these things. Nearly got bitten, but, its worth being near this darling.

  • What a badass motherfucker. Are you from South America? Or are those spiders allowed as pets where you live?

  • @Iceskaarj12 Yes they are allowed in here. I live in Finland and at least for now nothing in this hobby is illegal, as far as I know. Private collections are allowed.

  • Nice, I would love 2 have a few in my collection. Guess I should buy some more bananas.....

  • What is the difference of the species of Phoneutria?

IE; Nigiventer, Keyserlingi, Fera, and such.

  • I looked up this shit... if you get bit, you'd prefer to die than to live through the pain it puts you through.

  • I don't have arachnophobia but the Brazilian Wandering spider and the Sydney Funnel Web spider are two spiders I don't want to meet.

  • Whats really more aggresive, sydney funnel web or brazillian wandering?

  • nice wandering spider you have there i am jelous, you need a permit here to keep one :(

  • dude, that spidefighting a sydney funnel web would be so sick, there both insanely deadly and bad tempered haha

  • The Funnel Web is worse, they are powerful enough to penetrate a fingernail, and hang on while biting.

  • @Chris9017, don't forget it that the Sydney Funnel Web can survive underwater for up 24 hours. That makes it a real danger to anyone who might be planning to go in their swimming pool.

  • @rainer250 You're right, and the Wandering Spider can't stand a chance in water, so the Funnel Web would be the worse of the 2.

  • @rainer250 But can it swim.

  • Where did you get the spider at I'm trying to find one to have as a pet but cannot find any sites selling.

  • @ArachnidFanatic yes buy whole bunch of bananas in plastic bags and hope there's one inside

  • they are even more venomous than black widows and if you dont believe me its in a guinness world recoord book of mine.

  • You're totally right! Their venom is way more powerful than the black widow one, like 0.025 mg of it can kill a mouse.

  • Cool spider!! I have four brazilian wandering spiders, I live in Brazil and it's really easy to find them around my house. Those are really angry ones but you gotta say they are beautiful

  • Whats it like to live near something that can kill you easily?

  • For me it's very cool. I know that they are very poisonous but they are trully amazing spiders, really beautiful ones. You just got be careful. Looks obvious but that's it.

  • wow nice vid i love these spiders but i dont think i would ever keep one cause of how they kill people and stuff, so make more videos!

  • Believe me, I know about this wandering spiders not to have one as a pet. You are very brave!

  • Now before the conversation starts I have to say: Do Not try this at home! Playing with a wandering spider is not a smart thing to do. I decided to shoot this vid anyway but still, it's stupid. Phoneutria is a very venomous spider and highly aggressive too if needed. Always be careful with it and think twice before getting one as a pet.

  • is this the same spider as the last vid u u posted the one doing the warning dance? i mean is this the same spider

  • Yes it is. Just grown a bit bigger.

  • ahh shes still got that little fight in her
