if someone buys left 4 dead 2 in a certian country do they get the weapons because when i played this on the xbox i got the weapon at 0.48 and it didnt look like anyone was modding we found them like we found any normal weapon?

guys to make counter strike weapons work, go to the end of the level ur playing on then before you close the safe house door spawn a counter strike weapon, when you get on the next level it will work, i have done this many times

u dont really need to fret about these weapons not doing damage to zombs.Here's a way:

1-Open console.

2-type "map[space][your desired map]",and wait while it loads.

3-once finished loading & u can control your character,open console again.

4-type "sv_cheats 1",then "give rifle_sg552" n close console.U should be holding this rifle in ur hand.

5-open console again, then type in "map [ your current map ]".

6-Once finished loading, type "give rifle_sg552"

7-Now the rifle does damage.Have fun :)

@bowman30000 they put them in the game for people who purchase the german version of the game because they made a mistake and didn't put gore in it, they are also availible on some servers that put them in the game.

if you use console to get Counter Strike Weapons in Left 4 Dead 2 then you cant take damage on the enemy but if the Counter Strike Weapons are in a server then you can take damage and kill zombies=P

I joined some random server on the xbox360 and it had the rifle at 0:42 and the knife.

I don't know how the hell they did that, but I think Valve may have had plans for the weapons early on and just dumped them.

They can do damage if spawned in console, but only if you take it to the next safe room.

the worst thing bout this is, that the skins and models are just copy paste jobs and DONT fit in the graficle enviorment. the world models of the css weapons are way beyond l4d2 standards. looks so bad to see a "high polygon and high texture" FN scar next to ultra low polygon and crapy texture css mp5 oder Sig. at least they could have remodeled and reskined the css weapons. this is just cheap....

If Valve improved the weapon models and skins, imagine the outcry of CSS players who'd want the same improvement in CSS itself.

Then Valve would really be fucked. You gotta think about these things.

I suppose they could've redesigned them altogether, but then it'd seem like half the players of L4D are getting "new" weapons.

I really dont think that the outcry would be that big since Css has one of the biggest Model/Skin costumization known to (according to FPSBANANA) Would be the same if 1.6 player complain about the improved skins in Source.
