How the hell can say that the GTI is a better car? That in itself makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. To say the GTI is in the MS3's class is just ludacris. Btw, it's easier to compare and contrast the new 2010 GTI and 2010 Si. cause they both produce the same amout of hp for 2010 and honda say it's now a more refined and aggresive car. Still without mods neither one can touch the MS3
This car has the most impressive interiors in it's class... and more. Your complaint about the GPS not being worthy of your glance in comparison to a tit shot is juvenile.

2.- gti has 210 hp on the front wheels, broke another rule, just like the speed, but the speed broke it in a better way, cause id rather have more hp than just 210 out of a turbo charged engine
3.-the speed3 was meant to brake the rules and still be a great car, even better than the gti, and to top it all of, its cheaper

It's true that the 2010 GTI is an awsome car to drive yes down on power, but the chassi is so much stiffer in the GTI (even compare to the 2010 speed3) whit the DSG gear box, the GTI is only 0,5 sec to 60 beind the Speed. OK yes the Speed is cheaper, but the GTI is better built more comfortable and roomier if you go for the 5 doors version. Don get me wrong, i LOVE the Speed3 but the GTI is a very good choice

this is a bad review. The 2010 mazda 3's interior is gorgeous. Little does he know that the blue LED lights on the door panels and in the middle of the map lights serve to brighten up the interior in a way that doesnt affect the eyes. All you have to do is drive the car at night and cover up one of the lights and BAM it becomes super dark inside. worst review ever

@vt4ps3 the interior of the MS3 comes nowhere close to the quality of the GTI's. (btw that is also a matter of opinion) VW has become known for their great interior quality. The MS3 however is a powerhouse. The GTI is a more tame and conservative MS3.
@vt4ps3 Now before you getting mad i LOVE my mazdas. ive owned an MX5 and an RX7, so im a Mazda boy... I have owned both the GTI and the MS3 and as fun as the MS3 is powerwise the GTI is simply a better overall car. Its the Little things that make a big difference. The steering response is better then the MS3, the Trim, seats and Plastics are FAR superior. The Turbo is MUCH smoother, its better on fuel, and more comfortable daily. I could go on for a bit, but you get the point :)
There is alot of 2010 and the old shape of Mazda 3 here in torano canada beleive me i like the interior and the exiterior plus can anyone get a gti 2010 and the options in the mps 2010 in a same price?
I'd take this over a GTI anyday. For the money, the GTI can keep it's chip, I'd rather have the turbo lag just a bit and then dance around the VW. And the torque steer? Lets be real, I drove this vehicle and it was as smooth as an automatic. You'll get your torque steer if you dont know how to drive. Lastly, learn to control your car.
smooth and torque steer... lol, who ever buys this car and doesnt mod it is a tool, u throw in one remap/tune and massive torque steer, next time your test drive it go to a corner and half way out of it floor it and see what happens

umm... Ralliarts and Evos are coming in close or over 3600lbs... Mazda3 GT Hatch runs a little over 3000 lbs... All cars are heavy these days.

even a new 5.0 Mustang weighs well over 3200... so it's extra ironic that they blame the extra weight on it having 5 doors instead of being a coupe.
this review was awful... all of their main (anti)selling points were biased and quite obviously pretty disagreeable.
