  • Your fan shroud fell off.

  • Or atmospheric**

  • *or ar

  • I have a 1991 nissan nx2000 wit a fwd sr20det. Nd it runs super rich. I was told that im suposed to have a recirculating bov but i dont n was thinking of geting the blitz dd. Is it a recirculating bov iatmospheric

  • where do u go to get an sr20 det engine? likke if i want to swap

  • Comment removed

  • Do you HAVE to relocate the battery to the trunk?

  • @DANGTHATSUCKS yes it is

  • sounds really great man. i hope to get one myself in the near future.

  • i wanna swap mine into a sr20 too total of thew whole job?

  • how much did ur Sr20det cost and was it hard to do the swap?

  • i got the engine disassembled so it cost me around $1000 n the swap is not that difficult

  • whats this little black hose going to

  • which little black hose? the black hose you might be talking about is the radiator hose

  • coming out of the bov

  • thats the vacume line to the wastegate

  • Blitz sounds the best to me, next would be the TurboXS rfl, but the hks ssqv sounds like the air sputters...

  • nice i just got mine from a fellow forum member, cant wait to get it on. mine might sound a lil dif though with 20+psi comin thu it ^_^

  • if ur going for performance, it should be on the cold side of the piping

  • oh , and this location makes since for the people who are more concerned for the noise then the performanc,e but you do loose out on the performance side people, so tighten up, and get a hks ssqv . you hear it from blocks away .

  • the point of the bov is to releive the pressure before it enters the throttle body , it theory ( note i say theory ) the bov should be about 8-12 inches down stream from the throttle body , then you only have to fill 8-12 inches of airspace before boost rebuilds , the way you have it, you have to fill 2 3 ft minimum sections of pipe, and the intercooler. when the air escapes through the bov , whatever is forward ( or before the throttle body ) is empty unchargd air.

  • dude you should go to like be a mechanic cause straight up, youu know your shitt!

  • had a few sr20 set ups , tuned more, and have shit on all with them. went vh45 now . shes evil , what can i say , i dabble on the dark side. thanks , and in a way i am a mechanic , i went to wyotech , and now build chassis and do the occasional swap. thanks for the credit though . i try to help peopel, and as you can see, i get smacked down often, but usually im right . LOL. its cool though , i know whats up .

  • never understood why people put the bov in the wrong place. you loose mad boost this way , and then have to recharge the length of piping , the intercooler , and another length of pipe before you have useable boost.

  • are you saying my BOV was placed in the wrong place? cause i highly doubt ur method of reasoning

  • I understand what he's saying, yet I believe its a little far fetched to say ur bov is improperly placed. I would understand if it was mounted further down towards ur intercooler. On my dsm I replaced the factory 1g with an upgrade and its about the same distance.

  • Actually the PT700 backdoor intercooler mounts the bov directly to the intercooler. So i'm guessing the closer the better to the intercooler. But what do I know. My cousin has 600hp crx. lol

  • Good for ur cousin. I couldn't care less where u put ur bov. thanks for ur sarcasism

  • The closer to the throttle the better.

  • Yeah, but it's still a CRX

  • Oh man... That gives me a chubby.

    :D

Good luck with future projects on her!

  • is the bo valve a recirculating one? where and how did you attach the little pipe coming out of it?

  • Yes, the bov is recirculated. And I got the flange welded on to the intercooler piping.

  • SIck

  • WOH WOH WOHHHHH m8 really cover that fan up cuz thats pritty bad goin over it like that

iv worked on a mazda 626 replacing the timing belt and i had just finished and was checking it with the engine running and the tassles on my hoody were close to the cam spokets and if it wasnt for my dad i would have face planted a inline 4 yummmmmm but if that fan got u ud b sum place elce nice 240sx by the way :)

  • how did you adjust your bov

i have the same one and my idles drops really low everytime i rev

i know i have a MAF setup but is it just a proper adjustment needed

  • i think you just need to tighten it more or check your air idol controll sensor

  • thanks how much are u idling? at

  • 1000-1200

  • yes very clean swap.

  • Thank you, that was my intention to keep it clean. I bought the engine disassembled put it back together then dropped it in took 8 working days.

  • Thats awesome.

    I can't wait to find a decent 240.
