i was 7 when i started watching basketball and the first team i ever saw was the knicks in 1999 because they always played on nbc. they just seemed like america's team and their rivalries with the pacers and heat were the best playoff series i have seen to this day.

We Beat The Spurs Last Night and the Next 10 games are winnable and crucial to where want to be come April...One thing I'm Very saddened is that No die hard fans like these back in 99 and the other years they dont show up to their seats ... there are only goddamnnn Tourists from other places that come to the Garden since they have been not hungry for the willing to be competitive and be a model of the 90's knicks...Guys we are on track to greatness i can assure you...Lets Get Back to the Garden

I was very happy that they beat the Pacers in 1999, particularly after the Kncks lost to them in the second round of the playoffs in 5 games the previous year. Also, they were the 1st 8th seed to make it to the finals in that same year. The Knicks have done much better than I expected so far this season. I hope that they can make it to the playoffs for the first time since 2004.

Yeah the '99 Playoffs were wild, and the rivalries with Miami and Indiana got the best out the Knicks. Thanks for posting all these games man, they bring back some nice memories.

I think after they learn DiAntoni's system they should completely focus on defense...even if the knicks dont have a good year, they have to play hard a home. This is the team right here. It was already mentioned, but if I had to go to war with any ONE basketball team, it would definitely be this Knicks team. All the adversity they had to overcome, all the problems, even the WE(the fans) were against them at one point because they were without Oak and Starks. But they just stuck together and proved every single person wrong. Everyone from Coach Jeff Van Gundy to Latrell Sprewell to Camby to Kurt Thomas. In my heart these are the real 1999 champs.

Ewing wouldn't have made much difference in the Finals. If anything, he would've slowed the Knicks' offense down.

The next year, the Knicks faced the Spurs (with Ewing) and the Spurs spanked them.

Camby's play was the key of the series...the 4 games where Ewing was out with injury, he averaged 18.75 ppg, 11.75 rpg, 3.25 bpg, and 2.00 steals per game. In the end, the Charles Oakley trade paid off.
