When I saw this knowing that Les was 76 years old it really makes me wonder why I stopped playing and using the excuse I was too old and slow when I'm much younger than Les Paul at this point in his life. The fact is, I never developed the technique that Les had with his genius.
@xxxtexanpa when i was young I wanted to skip all the basic fundamentals of finger strength exercises,picking exercises etc. I had learned pentatonic scale and thought I was good.Then I learned ALL the modes and started the basics again and it payed off.All the dumb chromatic exercises really help.
Those low impedance pickups he used are quite unique, as is his playing.
