  • haha 0:55 haha he touches his nipples wtf

  • this isn't that hard i'm 12 i can swim across the pool witch is way longer then this under water with no fins

  • for some reason i thought the stiffer the fins the better because you would be able to move faster??

  • @SomTamKaoNiaow1 if you smoke a little, im sure you would stop being an asshole.

  • I COMEING 4 U FISH!!! >:O!!!! rofl

  • i smoke weed and spearfish. i can go as deep as 20 meters and hold my breath for 3 and a half. You think if i stop smoking weed i would go deeper and last longer? does it influence your performance?

  • @malaleche240 haha mate maybe just give up the diving and stick with the flying! lol

  • @BreathTakingDives good joke, now tell me a valid answer please

  • @malaleche240 it definitely does. sadly. remember the main active ingredient THC actually raises your heart rate, which is bad for breath-holds, but also any smoke inhalation from any kind of burning material is bad for your lungs. nothings wrong with both, just not at the same time.

  • Hi @malaleche240, This is Dr. Steve Brule with another Brule's Rule for ya. When you're smoking the weeds that grow underground, don't smoke it with the dirt on it, you bimbo. Your lungs will get all dirty from the bacteria. YUCK! Clean the weeds off first! For your health!

  • @malaleche240 as deep as 20 meters? How many feet is that?

  • i want to start spearfishing and im 16 but i dont know much about it. if i do start it will probably just be in fairly shallow water with a mask and snorkle and small flippers. is there anything i need to know or does anyone have any tips before i get going?

  • what stiffness does everyone use on their DiveR 900s??? i heard from a good spearo the soft ones are they way to go ??

  • @jewisba Yep I swear by soft fins. With diveR I fin very soft the way to go.

  • was this taken at the local y?

  • I start out with 25m without fins. I work up to 50 w/o fins which I can get to after about 10 laps. But I realize there's spearos who can go much further.

  • i can do 75 whitout fins =D. im 16 ye and i have hemoglobin is 136 so its wery low if you look my training. but my lungs are BIG (tested)

  • They O.K each other after each lap to make sure they are not suffering any effects of oxygen starvation.

  • whats the ok thing that you all do at the end of each lap

  • ładnie ciśniecie w tych płetwach, spoko płetwy fajnie wam się układają sam bym tak ponurkował w takich płetwach

  • This is what i used to practice in the pool while the wife did her aqua-natal classes.....swimming 25mtrs,with no flippers! Alot harder as you have to use more energy to kick more!

  • lol @ the refraction @ 0:40

  • hey mate how long is that pool????

  • looks like it's 25 yards... maybe meters

  • 25 METER

  • 25 meters like 75ft

  • harbord diggers at freshie yeeeeeeeeew

  • about how long do u need to hold ur breath in water for 50 ft of water

  • depends how fast u travel the 50 ft

  • when u dive do u kick or do u let the weight of ur body and the weight belt bring u down?

  • once you hit nuetral bouyancy, just let yourself glide down. its more stealthy and saves alot of oxygen. but dont use alot of weight so you go down quicker, if ur diving deep the lighter the better

  • ummm water shouldn't go up ur nose if u r upright in the water

  • When I go under, water always goes up my nose, so I have to hold it, which limits my ability to swim. Is there a special technique for keeping water out of your nose?

  • yea if you get a diving mask that should be fine. or get a nose clip from a sports store.

  • @BreathTakingDives make sure you dont go upside down

  • yer there is if u are upsidown or swiming just breat out of ur nose it dosnt have to be must be it the is pressure and air coming out no water can come in. hope it helps thats what i do when i go preafishing

  • just breathe out of your nose when you feel water coming...

  • same here =[ i tried like a lot but doesnt work >:O

  • @fourthirtyninty or just let a very small trickle of air come out your nose

  • i freedive a lil in the summer in new jersey i dont go to deep only like 35 feet but i was jw some thing i heard if u take like 3-5 deep breaths and exhale completely after each one and then one big one it will help ur breath hold time increase is this true???

  • Yes that is true. But be careful and don't take anymore than three deep breathes. Anymore than that you can put too much oxygen in your blood and pass out, which could be a problem if your diving alone. Be safe and also dive with a partner

  • The reason why it is unsafe to inhale and exhale repeatedly before a long breathe hold is that you end up exhaling too much carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide build up during a breathe hold is what gives you the urge to breathe, amongst other things, rather than oxygen depletion. The decreased urge to breathe means you may hold your breathe longer than what your brain thinks is safe. If you surpass that threshold your brain may decide to shut you off before you do any damage and cause you to blackout

  • oh ok! nice job

  • only 25 mt? usually its 50 or 75 mt

  • yea this is just a basic training. most of the guys can swim over 150m and can do 100m one after the other but i just wanted to show people how to start training.

  • Nice vid mate I tore ligaments in my ankle so I havent been diving much but I am doing this in pools to keep up my lung capacity and its been helping like your other vidds too.

Keep up the good work mate.

  • great vid mate

  • Hey guys. Thanks for the vid. No idea why people are giving you grief. Makes zero sense knocking safe free diving/spearfishing training considering many people get caught unprepared and die. I myself use a pool, and don't push myself unless I have a dedicated watcher. Just from the fitness/cardio work out its worth while. The more fit your are the better your fishing. BTW 7min10s is @#$%ing mean.

  • thanks mate.

  • i wish i could hold my breath that long, got any tips?

  • good job guyz, keep up da good work, forget all da haterz out dea

  • Thanks for the vid. :) I can't believe people are arguing and bragging when this is just a simple howto for people to get started.

  • this is a joke, we all know that pressure is the real training, swim 25's at 30ft next time bitches

  • Well y don't you show me what you can do and after I smash your best effort you can say sorry. Go on put your money where your mouth is.... I dare ya

  • kooks

  • It is a pity that people are not taking the time to read the blurb about this video. If they did they would find that it is a video to show a system of training safely not one showing how far to swim or trying to impress anyone. Have no doubt we are swimming far greater distances than in this clip. So before you rush to comment...READ. It is hard to put your foot in your mouth with a fin on it but some of these divers have. :D

  • A Joke all right im a smoker and can do fifty with no fins

  • only 50m no fins is the joke. haha try harder

  • hahaha i'm french and i make 75m easily

    but i make 4min30s underwater ^^

  • mate i am australian and i swim over 150m with 7min10s under water. but you still have that big tower thingy right? ;)

  • but... he IS french!

  • he wins.. lol

  • like i have said below... we are not trying to show big swims... we get asked how we train 4 spearing so i made a short clip... this is how we train!

and mate... i just watched your vids... well done! i would be embaressed to show your face on my vids too. !

  • This is stupid, I've done 75 meters without fins, do you want to know how I did it? It certainly wasn't achieved by doing 25 meters at a time, what you do is, relax for a few minutes, then swim as far as you can safely. Then do it again untill your comfortable doing it. Then increase the distance, then get comfortable with it, and repeat.

  • mate i think you missed the point here ah. im not showing how to swim big distances. just training 4 spearfishing.

and just so you know most of the guys in this vid swim over 100 m with no fins. some around 150m. yet its just training. cheers

  • all well and good but there is no substitute for the ocean, a week in that pool will do you the same good as a day inthe ocean

  • Actually you will be surprized how much good pool training will do. For a start you can train at night when you cant get into the ocean. But training over last winter turned a few of my buddies from 20 metre divers into 30 metre divers... and I mean spearfishing at 30 metres. Well worth the effort.

  • I started of with just one lap too, now I can do reps of 2 laps and every 5 reps I do one 3 laps. even though I never saw this vid. till now, this training helped me alot. Try some new training excercises and add them too, it will be great. Thanks for post.

  • I'm new in spearfishing, I been using this traning method it helped alot, thanks for this video training. I will like to know what's this thing around their neck thanks jc

  • hi mate. thats great that it has helped with your training. the thing around there necks are weights, it helps keep you from floating as you swim your laps.

  • why'd he touch his nips

  • i have no idea! he has man boobs too!

  • 25 meter pool and fins!! you should be able to go minimum 50 meters..

  • yea i wanted to show how for people at all levels.

most people start at 5o meters. its not so much about the distance but the Repetitions.

  • Wow this is amazing is this the only way! O_o I know, I know i prob do half of 25 meters. I really wish I had a good breath hold hopefully my training will compensate for real pool training.
