I could well understand Greenlee's pain and anger at Leo, although I get that he was trying to make her see that her parents weren't worth her efforts to get their attention. But again, it shows that Greenlee and Leo shared a love that will never come close to any other AMC pairing (in my opinion, anyway).
"If you didn't have looks, I don't know what would become of you." How horrible! I'm so glad Roger wasn't Greenlee's real father. He was so nasty to her! Leo standing up for her was great, it does prove that he loves her, but in doing so he also isolated her further, and since they were broken up at this time and he was chasing after Laura (what a pathetic storyline that was). I love that he asks Roger how he can be so mean to Greenlee, yet Leo at this point was being just as cruel.
That's why this scene was so heartbreaking IMO. Greenlee had lost everything that meant something to her. Bu she thought she still had a chance with her icy-cold parents, until Leo showed her that she meant nothing to them after all. He thought he was helping her, but with him leaving her too, she really had lost everything. But it was refreshing to see Greenlee this vulnerable. It was a side to her that THESE writers showed the viewer for the first time.
Yup Leo always loved Greenlee. I think the game plan long time ago was for Roger to be Leo's father. But they dropped it because GreenLeo got so popular, but since they later made her Jack's daughter...but I guess it is moot now.
I read that Roger being Leo's father was just a "red herring" that the writers played with to throw people off. I don't think they really knew who Leo's father was at that point, but it they couldn't have feasibly made it turn out to be Roger because Leo and Greenlee had already become lovers. Having them end up brother and sister would have made them incestuous not to mention icky! LOL!
So the vibe I was getting was something then. Because they never said it. Another thing is Palmer hinted that he knew. Or did he know about the "red herring"?
Palmer and Vanessa BOTH hinted that Palmer knew who Leo's real father was, but then it was never revealed before Josh left the show. Too bad because that would have been great to see Leo finally meeting his REAL dad. :(
I love how Leo jumped to defend Greens when he sees first hand the verbal abuse she has always endured from her father. What's worse is that Greenlee kept taking it, just not to be totally cut off from Rog. But Leo's anger at Roger proved that he still loved Greenlee, even though she couldn't see it. Heartbreaking scene, but a great one as well.
damn mary and rodger gotta rank up there as one of the worst soap parents in history, jackson has more affection in 5 years than this guy had in 20

Yeah, GreenLeo were awesome! I missed them. I am not sure which other Greenlee couples even halfway compares. LOL
