  • Seriously so clear, detailed and helpful!!!

  • That was great, thank you very much. What a good boy he was, and he looks fabulous..

  • OMG YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER! I watched 5 videos prior to watching yours and it was the VERY best and most informative...Thanks Again!!!!

  • I love all your videos. I have Shih Tzus but every video I watch gives me a little tip here and there that helps with my dogs. Thank you so much for doing them!!!!!!! :-)

  • Yay mystic is beautiful now!! How do I cut her toenails?

  • just out of curiosity, did you get there permission to video there dog (if it was my dog i wouldn't care lol) and also, what kind of dogs do you personally own? good job btw, we raise schnauzers, and I'm becoming a groomer, this helped:)

  • I have always taken my schanuzer to the groomers, but I have been wanting to do it myself for some time now. Do you go around the dog's whiskers, or do you clip them with the beard?

  • Thank you so MUCH!!!! :)

  • I love your videos! Not being a technically trained groomer, sometimes I just wish I was able to know what to do to particular client dogs. I have used your schnauzer video and I think your pom? lion cut video...and I LOVE the way you explain and show us what the lines are and how to make them get there. AND the blade sizes are so important! Only thing is, I have never used thinning shears. I wish I were rich and could afford them...lol....Thanks so much! I did a new dog today and followed you.

  • Wow, what a helpful video! I particularly enjoyed your "rule of nose" about the eyebrows--so many times you take a Schnauzer to a groomer and he ends up with a Scotty cut, especially the eyebrows, but Sam's look wonderful. I've seen a lot of varieties of Schnauzer cuts, and your pet cut looks like a great compromise between a Schnauzer look and practical, easy maintenance.

  • Oh, and I thought it was kinda funny that someone breeding liver, parti, and white schnauzers would lecture you on breed standards.

  • Wow, Great videos! I grew up with a Miniature Purebred Schnauzer that lived 14 years and this is better than any cut he ever received! Recently we adopted a Mini Schnauzer / Heeler mix and I've been researching how to properly execute this cut and your videos are by far the best out there! Thank you for taking the time to share your techniques with these videos! You've made me interested in pursuing Dog Grooming when I've never considered it before!

  • I've been a pet sitter since last November, and just recently had a small boarding facility built on my land to accomodate more clients. I've been able to do summer cuts for a decade now and decided to train to be a groomer along with the pet sitting. I must've spent all day yesterday looking up tips online and on youtube and finally found you. Thanks to you I managed to groom and cut my first schnauzer today successfully! Three Cheers For My New Teacher!!!!!

  • I HAVE A NEW PUPPY AND HE'S 14 WEEKS AND THIS IS THE EXACT LOOK I WANT FOR HIM. HIS EARS AREN'T CROPPED BUT IT'S COMING, HOW CAN I MAKE A GROOMER UNDERSTAND THIS IS THE LOOK I WANT AND NOT THE TRADITIONAL LOOK WITH THE SKIRT THAT THE SCHNAUZER USUALLY HAVE?

  • I have a schnauzer and I cut mine this way, too. She is a pet, not a show dog. She has not had her tail docked or ears cropped, which I think is cruel, and that makes her no less a schnauzer. Anyway, I think the people complaining about it not being a correct schnauzer cut need to realize that people who own these dogs as pets appreciate having a cut that is easier to care for. If I wanted a show dog, I would have bought one.

  • WONDERFUL, INSTRUCTIVE VIDEO!. Although, I personally feel that if you have a dog of a particular breed, it should look like the breed, all to many people get coated breeds and then want them shaved down or in a puppy cut. This was a lovely short pet trim, and it had a well balanced head for the cut. I agree, as I'm sure you do too, that Schnauzers should have a full beard, etc. Unfortunately, people want the easy way out. You have demonstrated a very stylish trim. Thank you.

  • Thank you so much for teaching. You did a great job. It really helps because I have my first Shnauzer cut tomorrow and was a little grey on a few areas that you cleared up!! Thanks for taking the time to do this video.

  • mmmm no, lo bonito de la raza es su barba larga,

  • Me parece bueno aprender nuevas tecnicas, cuando son mascotas se puede variar un poco, tengo una mascota unica y le hago corte de schauzer.

  • So do you do the same thing as on the body to the chest?

(shave and make a skirt in front ?)

  • This is not a correct cut. clippingin front f the eyes only makes the hair stick up in their eyes. If you allow it to grow out and become part of the beard it is much less maintenance and less irritating to the eyes. Read your breed standard. Your lines are off.

  • @JUDGIEMATILDA I have found that more people like the hair clipped/thinned away from under the eye... it is NOT less maintanence to leave it long. It collects lots of debris from the eye and has to be cleaned often... which most owners don't do as often as it should be done... so shorter is better in my eyes. ;) Plus I feel it looks much nicer. I have read my breed standard and for a pet clip this is correct. ;) Thanks for your comment!

  • @JUDGIEMATILDA You are correct that the face is over groomed but most amature groomers do this and sadly this video will make people think it's right. It isn't it just wrong! Go to a dog show and learn from pro terrier people on how to correctly groom terriers.

  • @JUDGIEMATILDA Shut it troll.

  • I have two black mini schnauzers and I always did their haircut myself, but i did it wrong. Thank you for this video! I'll try the right way now :)

  • Oh my goodness! I'm SO happy you did a short cut on his eyebrows and beard! I've been looking for a cut like this because they look more like cute pups instead of old men! I also like how the body isn't cut almost to the skin and makes him look balanced.

BTW, Sam is a wonderful model.

  • @SheSoTalented216 Glad you enjoyed it! ;) Thank you for the kind words. :)

  • Thank you...I know that my two pups are going to thank you! ;-) Can I ask you what kind of thinning shears you use? I have found out a bit too late I can start on the cheap side then end up going to more expensive things like clippers especially with my giant schnoodle. Thanks Carrie

  • Thank you for a great vdeo :) I own 2 schnauzers now, one mini and one standard. It is so nice to see a video where the dogs arent sprayed or powdered with all kind of things ...

Thank you for showing things in a easy way :)

  • @Limelovenails I agree, it's a dog, not a high fashion model for crying out loud :) I don't agree with putting all kinds of product in the dogs coat, let them show off what God gave them and be proud of each and every one of them no matter what they look like! :)

  • This was fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing your techniques. :)

  • @flutterbydragonfly Thank you! :)

  • AWESOME video and great teaching style! Quick question though - I have a schnoodle that I give a schnauzer cut. Problem is that she has a LONG, bushy poodle tail. Any tips on how to make it look good?

  • @TaPetiteSoeur I would either clip it short all the way down or if it is really skinny and would look funny then maybe trim it up about an inch or so all the way down. ;) Just experiment, rest assured it will always grow back. ;)

  • FINALLY A TEACHER WHO KNOWS HER STUFF!!!!

  • @alexjeannie Thank you! :) Much appreciated. :)

  • @alexjeannie :) Thanks!

  • Finally! Someone who knows the correct breed pattern standard...and filmed it. Thank you so much. I am a groomer as well and when I have clients during the week that I know want a REAL Schn cut, I brush up by watching this video. And thank you for pointing out to the world that Schnauzers don't get a full-length skirt! Thanks again!

  • @alleyaxe Thank you! :) Glad to know someone recognizes the way things are supposed to be. ;)

  • thanks for teaching your tips, I will use all of them right away!!! Best wishes from Mexico!!

  • Great video and great teaching. Easy to follow and implement.

  • This was a great guide to cutting schnauzers hair. Thanks for posting this. We just got white miniature schnauzer with curly long hair, full tail and full ears. We also have another white female we just got that has super short hair all around. I will be using your guide to cut their hair. The only thing I need are the thinning sheers.

  • He is a beautiful schnauzer!!!! I love your videos....and all those little shortcuts you do it really makes it easier and congrats on your baby :)

  • I was so excited to see the Schnauzer videos posted! You make it look so easy, like something I can do. Thank you for that! The face has always been the most difficult for me to figure out, thanks for explaining it so thoroughly! LOVE your videos!

  • @iuhoosiergirl25 You are very welcome! :) Glad you like it, and glad I could help. :)

  • Wonderful... as I think a shorter beard makes him look like a puppy all over again.... (and who can resist a Schnauzer Pup?)--lol

Beautiful work...(Once Again!) One talented lady! Keep the videos coming.... love them!

  • @475611 Thank you, glad you liked it. :) I do have another vid coming soon on Pomeranians. ;)

  • Great job once again, he looks great! I prefer schnauzers with a shorter beard like this, i think it looks cute!

  • @iBreakable Thank you! :) I'm kinda partial to the shorter beard myself, keeps them much cleaner... we all know Schnauzers need a little help in that area LOL :)
