You can still snake, but the game is designed so that there are better ways to gain speed. The most common thing you'll see are wheelie boosts.

What I should have done, now that I'm better at this game, is plow through the snow to catch up to Ace or J and pass the Lightning Cloud onto them. As for why I kept it for myself, I don't know why.

You even got 3-Stars in the Classic Cups in Super Circuit? Wow, I could only 3-Star all the Super Circuit Tracks.

I don't think I did, but I know I got the nighttime Press Start sequence. I got a three-Star rank up to 150cc, but I don't think I could pull it off in the Extra Mirror cups.

I just noticed how familiar the snowy level looks. It reminds me of a snow-filled DK Mountain from MK: DD. They really have to make a new version of that for the Wii, I mean, I don't wanna be stuck playing the GC version of it on my Wii.

You might be glad to know that DK Mountain has returned for this game. Or not. DK Summit plays a lot like DK Mountain, but it has a heavy emphasis on doing tricks.

I use Karts because everyone else uses bikes. It's suddenly the cool thing to do. Or maybe it's just the novelty of it all.

I think the name change is in relation to DK Mountain from DD. Except that the only similarity is the barrel launching to the top. Hmmm...

And Maple Treeway also does this, which has nothing to do with Donkey Kong. (Then again, this place doesn't really have anything to do with him either.)

It may be that the phrase "snowboard cross" is a British term, but I wouldn't know. I don't know anything about alpine sports.

Good races! You use the Wii Wheel? I found it hard to control so I just use the Gamecube controller. I like the name DK Snowboard Cross better, because DK Summit sounds a lot like DK Pass from the DS. That's just me. :P

Also, dont you hate how bad the drift is on some characters? Pretty much the only light weight characters. You drift so fast. And i hate it.

Really? I noticed that some bikes have an insane drift power that causes me to bump into the inside walls or fall of the track all the time. They seem to be strictly for 150cc Star Cup and Special Cup courses.

Nah, it's because he was a character I hadn't used before and all four races were part of the same session. I don't know how to change characters or vehicles without leaving the room.

Do you find the Wii Wheel easy to use? I tried it once at my friend's and I found it awful! Just as a test, me & my friend raced eachother on VS. The first time around, he used the Wii Wheel and I used a Cube Controller. I won by 25 points. When I used the Wii Wheel, he won by 10 points.

Even though I didn't do that bad with it, I think I'll stick to my Cube Controller any day, just like I'm doing with Brawl right now.

You know, I think the storm cloud (or whatever it's called) will become annoying very fast. I don't think the Mario Kart series has had an item that, if used to its fullest extent, would have a negative effect on whoever used it. This adds a new twist that I don't think I'll enjoy too much. lol.

It's easier than the arcade steering wheels for the reason that it isn't attached to anything. Doesn't tire out your arms in that you don't have to constantly reach for something.

The idea behind the Lightning Cloud, I'll bet, is to boost you to the next player, and so forth, until it reaches the 1st place player and shrinks them. I think it was intended to be a safer and fairer substitute for the Spiny Shell, benefiting everyone but the person in front.

What I don't get is why DK seems to be a fan of snow courses recently.

He had DK Pass on MKDS and now DK's Snowboard Cross. ( I have the PAL version of MKWII)

"DK's Snowboard Cross" sounds more descriptive of the place than "DK Summit." A summit is the top of a mountain. Were they trying to relate it to DK Mountain from Double Dash?
