He was the one the put on the breaks before leaving the shack and must have forgot they were on. He managed to notice that I reduced the throttle and disengaged the PTO.

Wow he left the PTO engaged and throttle out. He left you fixed it and he came back and didn't miss a beat. LOL not even looking at his spotter.
