I am not smart, i am a normal dude. And if you can do sweep picking congratulations. It doesn't mean you are a better guitarist then Carl. And sweep picking is just a trick, and if you practice hard enough it's not a mind blowing technique. Avenged Sevenfold is a poor example. Sweep picking isn't meant to be done for an entire solo. Just for short moments in it. Jeff Loomis, Mohammed Suicmez are guitarist whom implement it perfectly in solo's.
