  • Do not want to fight this guy.

  • Love the video, but am I to interpret the title as a slam against the Inosanto and Hartsell branch of JKD?

  • Tommy is a master, he shows us how nothing in the universe is independent, always dependent of another force. We all learn and are connected with someone else in Tommy's case he is influence by Bruce Lee. Tommy has taken the essence of Bruce and has transcended with his on authentic voice. I respect the man!

  • mrcjrowe !!!!! That man you call Bruce lee, not only tommy follows his legacy, but many, many others like him.... let me tell you Tommy is Tommy, not Bruce lee, & for his Martial Art to stay alive, he would have to follow his principles...... Hope this makes you understand...

  • Tommy is good but people forget that Bruce Lee would be on a different level had he lived longer. Tommy is copying a man who died over 30 years ago. That's how fantastic a one off Bruce Lee is. What if Bruce Lee was still alive ? His legacy would be even more unbelievable !!!! Jessie Glover was Bruce Lee's first student... So WHAT ! By the time Bruce made Enter the Dragon Bruce had surpassed himself when he used to train Jessie. Tommy is at the stage when Bruce Lee done the Green Hornet.

  • lets get this guy to the octagon

  • JKD are meant for Speedy strike to the critical areas and Quick Finishes in a real fight. There is no time for thinking and hesistations when you are in a dangerous spot, you have to relies on instincts and decisive strikes to survive.

  • "When Tommy is on he reminds me of Bruce when I knew him. The first time that I saw him I told him that he punches like Bruce. Tommy is also a very powerful kicker. He has Bruce like speed and power and is more flexible than Bruce was.If Tommy landed a full force strike in the center of a person's chest there is a chance that their heart would stop. He transfers an amazing amount of shock with his strikes." - Jesse Glover (Bruce Lee's first student)

  • lmao this guy may know some shit its only obvious that he does but come on people hes another wanna be Bruce Lee and yeah if Bruce was still alive hed be old but still take this fool out with no prob.

  • Whats that clip from the history channel?

  • @landoftheninja it's from the documentary "How Bruce Lee Changed the World"

  • This is the real jkd, simple, direct and extremely powerful. Sorry everyone for my little english

  • @insidejeetkunedo Simple, direct, and non- classical ~ Jeet kune do.

  • How come I dont see him in any of the MMA competitions on TV? i mean if hes that good....

  • @Iightbreaker massive competition sports stars getting pwned by a little guy like Tommy doesn't make for very good television does it?

  • @Kotani301 You know, actually it does~

  • @SluF08 lol to be honest it would make awesome television for some of us who wish people would notice the difference but im sure the average person would get tired of it after like the 20th fight that looks exactly the same.

  • @Iightbreaker Because it doesn't mean anything. Tommy Carruthers could kill them. It would be pointless. This the reason why MMA & UFC fighters suck.

  • @XXBruceLee You are an imbecile.

  • Too bad his name isn't cool

  • Me no like Shadowx209>:(

  • everyone practices with partners that fall easily, Like i said try MMA to show JKD really works in MMA, think as if its a real fight

  • @Shadowx209 mma is a jkd inspired concept dumbass.. its acceptable for a jkd practicioner to cross train, it has an MMA mentality most jkd schools now do mma sparring rules, but they also train for self-defense so they HAVE TO BE open minded with what ever arts work. Luke Cummo practiced jkd and was in the ultimate fighter 2 finale he fought joe stevenson. This guy is to old to fight in a proffesional level & ufc does have rules no head stomps, no kicking when opponents head is below waist.

  • tommy caruther great fighter of jeet kune doo

  • tommy caruthers, the real way of intercepting fist? wtf theres no right or wrong way, you just hit the guy and knock him out, you havent even fought a real boxer, Might wanna change your title

  • @Shadowx209 this isn't sport fighting with rounds, rules and regulations. This is real world application fighting. meaning.....no rules. boxing has like 19 rules. a

i dont know about you, but you fight the way you train. if you train with all these rules, you will fight adhering by them.

ps: the way of the intercepting fist is the name that bruce lee gave to his fighting art. (jeet kune do)...hes not trying to impress any1...

  • not boxing but he should go to mma see if he last there, MMa has no rules anything goes except for the growing part, MMA is a whole different level.

  • They should at least have Tommy play a bad guy in movies like The Bourne Legacy, Mission Impossilbe or even with Jason Statham. Then like all other actors give him his own movies.

  • Bruce Lee is still better...

  • In a real life 1on1 fight in the streets, usually the first or second hit determines the outcome. Ever got your wind pipe punched in? Or get knee in the nuts follow by a elbow to the eye/nose area? Fights usually dont last more than a minute when you go against someone who knows what they are doing.

  • damn man, even a shaolin monk cant match his speed ! DAMN !

  • I'm sorry but how would these tommy carruthers style moves work if I'm not that bullet fast?

  • It is easy to be 'explosive' and 'powerful', but it is NOT easy to control the 'explosiveness' and 'power'. The trick of Bruce Lee's moves lie in the fact that not only can he delieverd powerful punches and kicks, he all the more can CONTROL his power to whatever length of punch/ kick, and retract them with total control.

It is like having a second 'power' that overrides the first wave of 'power' in delivering those punches and kicks, and be in total control over them.

  • Is there any footage of Tommy Carruthers fighting an opponent?

  • Comment removed

  • The mass is constant ... speed is modifiable

  • @ArtesmarcialesJKD who did Tommy train with? Who taught him JKD?

  • The bullet does not kill its own weight, speed kills

  • always the comparisons to MMA....every style has their advantages and disadvantages..

try to armbar somebody while 6 of his homi's stomping on your head...try it

then talk how awesome MMA is...

  • TOMMY, SHOW THIS ALL TECHNIQUE IN UFC, HUM??

  • this master is insane . he is so fast, I know he was a Doorman in Glasgow and he is skillful maybe more than Bruce lee.

  • @felipecharada hes is good but as good as bruce lee? you got 2 remember bruce lee trained for about 17 years (i dont really know that much about him) whereas tommy has been training for over 40 years. I would say he is as good as bruce lee, but not more skilled.

  • @felipecharada what the phuck you are talkin? Master Lee was the King!

  • OK I wasnt even going to comment but you people are comparing mma to Jeet Kune Do but JKD isn't even a style its a proccess of expresing oneself so in all essence you cant compare the way of the intercepting fist with any style of fighting

  • Bruce Lee's legacy still lives on. He was, and still is, among martial artist and fighters; a flawless model. Fuck MMA, or UFC. Cos all u do, is fight by the rules, no freedom.

  • @0willsy01 really? its combined arts but its not mixed martial arts? what the fuck does that mean? why dont you come down to the Jeet Kune Do academy and see for yourself if JKD isnt MMA.

  • What's with all these people comparing everything to MMA these days ?

I bet most of the people who are trying to figure out who'd win between Bruce Lee and MMA fighters are 16 year old kids taking up MMA lessons comparing who's got the bigger dicks in the shower after the lessons... Fighting in a ring or comparing your muscles won't make you a hero. Try to achieve half of the things Bruce Lee achieved in a lifetime and you will be remembered...

  • god! i wanna study jeet kune do now! XD

  • @0willsy01 Have you ever even studied Jeet Kune Do? do you actually even understand the basis of it? Its not some godly art. It is literally the best of boxing, kung fu, and some improv from other martial arts put into one. Jeet Kune Do is MMA dude. It literally is. Read the Tao of Jeet Kune Do. Its all in there.

  • @0willsy01 seriously? Sure Bruce was amazing. I totally agree with that. hands down he was ridiculous. But there are fighters out there in the world that could take him.. I mean it's the spirit of JKD that fuels mma. The combination of different fighting styles at your disposal is JKD. Ask any real martial artist. Sure he could definitely hold it in a stand up fight but he never developed ground game. In a match against Hendo, Pen, Wanderlei Silva, skill not weight class he would go down.

  • JKD is self defence, most of JKD is banned in mma which every mma fighter would tell you. The speed of a JKD strike, Bruce Lee, Tommy Carruthers will finish a fight in seconds which is why JKD is incorperated in the Armed Forces and proven on battle fields where life or death depends on the first strike.

  • It's not the fighting style that counts, it's the person fighting. Some peolpe have a level of comfort with violence and the ability to use it that others don't, no matter what the other persons fighting style.

  • ok im a boxer of 12yrs and a purple belt in bjj, mma, muay thai and have done wing chun and some kali,i am a big fan of jkd and mma, wing chun was design pretty much for a kill or to permanently damage your opponent, its not a sport where you do rounds, mma is the same, its how you train it,you can train for sport or for street, thats the difference i have tested things in security and i can tell you theres no ref or rounds,to me in the end its all a martial arts,a way of life not a sport.

  • ALRIGHT. im tired of this JKD vs MMA dispute. ONE! JKD is a stand up game. TWO yes you can hold your own with JKD but as soon as you get taken down by a brown belt in BJJ your done. THREE. JKD isnt a very good style for mma, it lacks a lot of basis for defense against other martial arts. There are no tricks or special moves in JKD. Yes it has very good kicks and technique but speed isnt everything. Sure you can throw a hook kick and make it land but if you dont have Muay Thai Power your done.

  • @thedamondude Wrong JKD is nto just a standup game. Research the jun fan jeet kune do grappling. those niggas do damage. Erick Larsen or whatever his name was did damage in the old NHB fights and vale tudo. It all just depends on the fighter itself, but in the ring is where its tough to pick a JKD guy or an MMA guy, which is pretty much the same thing IMO. But in the street, ill go with the jkd guy.

  • 5 personas que han sido pateados por Tommy... XD

  • love the 3 symbols at the start

  • Its interesting he has trained for sufficient strength to turn that speed into proper impact.

  • MMA = Fighters that maximizing their power for octagon... most of them learn jujitsu and taekwondo. How does some slot mma fighter stand a chance to bruce lee? bruce lee have lost 0 times in ring. and matches he plaid have lasted like 20 seconds each and every one of them bruce lee win by ko.

  • Sucks that he doesn't have 1 video of him sparring, i'd like to see how he does when he's just fighting instead of demonstrating.

  • is jeet kune do mostly offensive?

  • @bugshirt4 ahuh. Jeet Kune Do means Way of The Intercepting Fist in cantonese

  • he looks like howard from big bang theory :)

  • I'm just not that impressed to be honest, seems to have trained very narrowly to the point of almost rehearsed kata, totally the antipathy of Lee's 'no limitation as limitation'. Bruce Lee was more an advocate of adaptation & progressive learning, this seems distinctly formulaic to me.

  • Can you all kids just stop bringing a comparison to MMA in every martial arts videos of youtube ? Please ?

  • @n0madc0re thnk about it it used 2 anoy me a little also but i teach tactical stuff & i luv it totaly when i get 2 demonstrate under live pressure when sum 1 arrogently walks in the door w/ all these preconceved notions of all this trype . especially when their frends are watching . just like my old bar days except u dont have 2 worry about getting shot .we just turned 2 of ours loose on local mma crowd they r makeing very short work of their opponents . so 4 the record now people r startng

  • @n0madc0re con. 2 re-examine their dangerus ignorent assumptions . i promise u that when they act disrespectful in the way that they challenge every tym they have it smashed in their face . every tym w/out a shadow of a doubt they just had the fastest defeat of their lives .sum imediatly want 2 learn a lot of them simply never come back . but i luv the fact that they r stupid enough 2 set the stage 4 me open up on them a little .puts a smile on my face every tym FACT LOL L0OL LOL !!!

  • Respond to this video... CON. im a member of southern wolf triad boxers/memphis kali& silat / bai shaolin -wing chun / jkd as well so if these guys weren't so arrogant i would never get 2 have so much fun .so i always want them out there preaching this trype & ESPECIALLY BEING DISREPECTFUL I LUV IT. keeps me feeling so alive sum days

  • This guy could probably have a chance against Bruce Lee himself, but I don't think he'd win. This can't be said commonly.

  • looks like five people challenged tommy

  • just remember, speed kills and loses to sensitivity and

combo striking is still a routine. I believe that a martial artist can destroy with less. I can drive my car very fast into a wall, would you be impressed with my speed?

  • just remember, speed kills and loses to sensitivity and

combo striking is still a routine. I believe that a martial artist can destroy with less.

  • I Am beginning to think Mr Carruters is the Re-incarnation of Bruce Lee . He IS extremely fast !!

  • I dont understand why there aint other videos of this guy. You have only one video where he s teaching some techniques. Where can I find more footage.

  • he does not have to hit hard, the enemy will be completely flashed by his reaction at all :D

  • he is that fast..........

  • People in ufc/mma are specialized for that format/rules. In real life there is no rules. If this guy just gives you a punch in your neck its over - 1 second.

I just know one this, in a bar or on the street, you're not gonna choke this guy out. He'll hit you 10 times before that happens

It makes such a HUGE difference if you got rules or not.

In MMA he probably would lose, since he is not specialized for that, but still I give him very good chance, because he's so fast.

  • @400timesmore and further more, in mma everyone has vasoline all over their faces and are wearing gloves. there is a big difference between that and getting hit with no vasoline and with a bare fist!!!!

  • @400timesmore problem with your theory is that the first thing an mma fighter would do is shoot in to take him to the ground and it is very hard to just hit someone when there shooting in for a take down, i will agree that if he gets a bunch of shots off before an mma fighter shoots or goes in for the take down but it would not be as easy as you thank

  • @houseofaction Tommy Carruthers has over 30 years experience in the martial arts which includes training in military self-defence techniques (taught to him by his father), Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, Karate, boxing, Ving Tsun (four years with Nino Bernardo's clan), Non-Classical Gung Fu and finally Jeet Kune Do.

  • @MartialArtsCN who cares if he has 30 years of experience he may have all that experience but that means little when fighting an experience mma fighter

  • @houseofaction I just want to say that he knows ground fighting.

So I don't think it would be so easy to beat him on the ground.

''problem with your theory is that the first thing an mma fighter would do is shoot in to take him to the ground''

  • @houseofaction

    Streetfight:

As fast as he is, no mma fighter will reach this guy before getting hit in his neck.

MMA Fighters are really great fighters. A mediocre MMA fighter will beat 99% of the people up, but this guy is in that 0.1% of fighters u cannot touch. He is sooo fast its sick.

  • @400timesmore speed matters little against an expert fighter. many extremily fast fighters get there ass handed to them by skilled fighters

  • @400timesmore THAT is the wing chun /kali part of jkd fact

  • @stovall1231 con. the speed that is

  • @400timesmore to add on to this, though MMA is rules based, it is exactly what it says: Mixed Martial Arts. Meaning that technically you are trying to compare one art to at least 4 other arts. Also, MMA can be used outside of the ring/cage, just as martial arts can (which alot of people seem to doubt). Basically, comparing any one martial art to MMA is not really accurate since MMA is not one art.

  • @400timesmore If he would adapt his style for MMA he would be fairly decent. However, what you must realize is that an MMA strategy isn't just "Ima choke him out" by the time someone throws a wild haymaker at me in a bar, i've hit him already. Even if he, hypotheticaly speaking, does land a hit, I can take it because I am used to getting hit from my training.

  • @tywainwright1 if you've really trained to fight you'd know that getting hit when you don't know its comming will knock you out. mma is crap white boys humping on a mat. learn to box.. be a man. also mma has too many rules. a real martial artist will gouge eyes, kick kneecaps backwards so that your leg bends the other direction, punch and kick you in the balls, throat, and purposely snap your fingers, elbo, ankles, back. None of this humping on the mat for 5 minutes.

  • @Milliondollarchoices Are you telling my a kneebar wouldn't bend your knee backwards? It would, we know how to break arms, legs, wrists, ankles, fingers, necks, backs, the list goes on and on, i've been punched when I didn't know it was coming, guess who didn't get knocked out? THIS GUY! Learn to box? I do box, it's vital to MMA. Humping on a mat? Now what would you do if you got taken down in a fight? Nothing, because yo have no idea how to fight on the ground. If any MMA fighter were in

  • @Milliondollarchoices I've been hit when I wasn't expecting it, it was multipule hits too, I wasn't knocked out. Learn to box? I do box, it's vital to my MMA game and self-defense. We can't break bones? What do you think the joint-locks are for? Humping on a mat? We train ground fighting so we know what to do if we are taken down in a fight, what would you do if you were taken down? MMA strikes work for a number of places, I can strike you anywhere with a punch or kick, balls, throat etc.

  • May I ask what Martial Arts you've trained in?

  • amazing it's like he's been put into tommys body, awesome

  • ppl are liking and priotizing mma because it is in the eye of the media study philosaphy and see what is as it is study martial arts read tao of jeet kune do you might learn something

  • Wow,excellent form...

  • Tommy will probably lose in mma due to restriction, rules of the game. But in real fight, he probably can kill any pro fighter in less than 30 seconds. His speed and power, and precision are damn good.

  • How the hell are you going to fight and win against a guy with hands the speed of a machine gun besides projectile weapons or any of that sort?

  • I am not questioning Tommy's exceptional skill level, however what I'd like to point out is, it seems that almost every opponent in this video is static (Standing still), including the street guys. I'd really like to see some sparring with non-static opponents.

Again, I'm not trying to sound like a hater, especially if Jesse Glover (Bruce's first student), endorses this guy, I'm just pointing out that I'd like to see more combat encounters with actual sparring partners.

  • @TheWarRoomInc yup you are right its way diffrent when a guy fights back and he dont spar i feel sorry for his followers that think he is god like.

  • Super Cool!!! Remind me of Jason Bourne ;D

  • how old is he NOW ?

  • my name is Edward tindel im from baltimore maryland i have never seen you put on the gear and sparr with anyone.so you look like a good showman, your fast, have technique but you have not proven what bruce lee said when he was alive,i have never sen you get in the water and get wet,you talk a good fight but you have not proved yourself to your fans,or me.let mee see,let us all see you sparr someone, anyone

  • @theshakeitfast1 All they have to do is put the gloves on and spar. They don't have to kill each other, but contact is what JKD is all about. Don't have a guy standing there taking all the punches. Sorry, Tommy, you must prove yourself.

  • @clearcombat yup he needs to prove him self afraid to spar any half good fighter out of fear he will be exposed you dont spar you cant fight...

  • @mmalizard YOURE wellcome to his school to spar!

  • @THMX1000 ahahaha well if he is willing to meet up at least in newyork which is fair for both of us. then we can do it but it will be recorded and post on youtube for all to see no exceptons are we clear on that?

  • @mmalizard Oh boy, be glad you have a safe distance to Scotland. Your one of endless fuckers trying make them self on the youtube, or elswhere on the net. You know many sad, I would fuck tommy, but nobody to his face, exactly like you coming here jealous. I tell you what; Set a goal this year and do 200 000 punches and kicks, and than come back here. Thats what tommy would say to you, probably.

  • @THMX1000 typical scared kung fu jkd guy it never fails rofl....

  • @mmalizard fcourse, you say it!

  • @mmalizard

"yup he needs to prove him self afraid to spar any half good fighter out of fear he will be exposed you dont spar you cant fight..."

That's funny because all modern day sparring is ripped directly from Bruce's concept of all-out sparring w/ all the gear and padding equipment he was the first to utilize. Also, he was the first to incorporate fitness regimen and weightlifting as the basis for a good martial artist. He sparred against many of the top-tier MA of his era...

  • @KarateCop i said tommy not bruce clean the wax out your ear kiddo.

  • @mmalizard

...and, from all eye-witness accounts, ran circles around everybody else. The fact is that MMA fighters are sloppy and slow with poor coordination whereas Bruce was lightning fast with tremendous power and precision. MMA guys are just overbloated egotists who fight within a restricted environment, a sport.

  • Awsum vid. This guy has obviously dedicated his life to his art. I laugh at all the people who actually believe sports fighting is the same as real life. If you train to fight with rules then your natural instincts are to play by the rules. What happens when there are no rules. This is where any traditional martial arts differs to sports martial arts. A life and death situation is never going to be the same as being in a ring or cage where you have someone to save you.

  • @Diathius A ring fighter can take a punch, kick, a throw. a toss and a choke better than this so called master.

He never spars, not even lightly. I am kick boxer with a lot of judo experience and have sparred dojo artist and after a minute these guys are out of gas. That is the way they would fight in the street, all tense and no footwork.

Once they get hit really hard they say stop, that's enough. It's like swimming on land.

  • The reason most JKD practitioners try to trap in a fight is because they learned the physical but no practical.that's why when they spar they look like horrible kickboxers. I can trap all day when my opponent is trapping as well, but when the first cross or straight comes, it's a parry and a jam, eye gouge or kick to the nuts. In 40 years I've never seen a straight punch trapped, and never been trapped. I'm no pro, but am above average, and I look awesome on video when no one is hitting back.

  • @brundleflyy Well I am a JKD student. I would never try to trap a punch that is comming at you at lightning speed. I recomend the split entry or slip to be the best for both jab or cross. The people that you spared with who are there instructors.

  • @brundleflyy hahaha, I love that. "I look awesome on video when no one is hitting back!"

  • Does he ever spar someone who will strike back?

  • @clearcombat you are right this guy would get destroyed by any good mma fighter as well as any jkd kung fu guy.. mma is proven they are tough and if they think fighters like cain velasquez and diego sanchez cant fight in street then they dont know nothing about real fighting..mma guys prove themselves all the time they dont say ohh its too deadly so i cant fight and excuses like that.

  • i have seen other folks perform jeekundo and thought this doesnt work but this guy appears to know how to use it well.

  • Este tio es inimitable..

    Gran maestro

  • Does anyone know, how tall he is?

  • @MegaSmud

Not know, but a guy who saw him says he s around 168 cm, 5 ft 6 in and weights about 72 kg.

  • @Drago110482 Thank you! That's, what I thought. People till 1.70 m are often fast.

  • I'm sure Bruce would be proud!

  • just great

  • where is his gym?

  • @ purehotup Glasgow

  • Carruthers > You

  • He is good, whats the fast punches he does? is it wing chun?

  • Dedicated to Tommy, " he open my eyes to the reality" ..... Jeet Kune Do

  • I like an excellet work of Student Paul

  • I go to this classes so everybody dont mess with him by the way

  • @Threeyoungbloods i didn't say i wanna mess with him or i am that idiot 21rjimmy started saying thatl. my point was that tommy wouldn't do good in mma, artesmarcialesjkd is right its meant for the street not mma, bruce was more into figuring out no rules situations. thats why like i said tommy wouldn't do good in mma he would have to start learning other things before taking on serious competition, because rules will limit lots of the strikes he practices also

  • @dukeslaps Thirst, you have never met tommy and you have no idea what he can and what not.

second I'd bet all my money on tommy agaist ANY pro mma guy in the street.

  • @THMX1000 He would beat most in the street. So far as mma fighters he would have trouble. These fighters are training for power, speed, agility, endurance and learn to take pain. In the latter rounds of a street fight he would lose every time. If he hits first, maybe. I train people in self defense and I've sparred an mma fighter, they can take a lot of strikes for a long time, I couldn't, and I used to be a competitive fighter.

  • @clearcombat like I said, you have no idea what are you talking about, really, you have no idea. dont compare yourself with tommy.

  • @clearcombat I am not comparing myself to him. He would get his clock cleaned from a fighter like GSP, Frankie Edger, Bj Penn, Matt Hughes and the list goes on and on. Why is that he never spars. Bruce Lee made the same mistake he was a great martial artist, but not a great fighter. Tell Tommy to go into any MMA camp and challenge any of the top fighters.he would lose. Ever heard of Benny The Jet? He would defeat Bruce for one reason, he can battle for hours, Bruce and Tommy could not.

  • @clearcombat thats typical talking, internet. people talking about people they have know idea about. comparing people they never met with people they never met, at the end they will die clueless...Bruce couldnt do that, Tommy couldnt do that, MMA can do that. I tell you what. MMAs are the worst fightes ever.Put bad fighters in a cage let them fight agaist eachother, do some propaganda, and they become "good"

  • @THMX1000 Your writing skills are as bad as your martial skills.

  • @clearcombat first of all, i have learnd englisch in the school its not my mother language, second how the hell will you know my skills, lol? take it easy have fun with tv mma real combat.

  • @THMX1000 The guy never spars! He reminds me many typical instructors! I sparred my head instructor and kicked his ass and felt terrible about it. He was winded and was upset with me. I asked him to spar more often and he finally agreed. At least Bruce Lee would spar with other type of fighters. Sparring is king!

  • @clearcombat Oh, I see you met him? No? Thats what I thought. He doesnt spar, he fights, thats a slight different, where you put your gear on and go all out and dont stop. thats difference to sparring. You have no idea what he does.

  • @THMX1000 Bruce Lee sparred to stay fresh. How the hell is he going to stay combat ready when no one hits him back. My instructor did this, and became very fat, slow and at times, foolish. He would break boards and bricks but never sparred. He couldn't. I am in my fifties and I still spar lightly. It allows you to get out of the way of strikes, pushes, grabs and throws.

  • @clearcombat Waht do you know about Lee besides reading in media like books? First: Tommy was taught by several Lees top students, and he knows Lees Wife well. 'He could tell you mor about Bruce and his training than you could ever find in any paper on this planet. Second: You have no idea about Tommy training and teaching. To get out of the way of strikes, pushes, grabs and throws is part of his teaching. Dont speak about people you dont know!

  • @THMX1000 we only speak what we see and he cant fight would love to see him take on even an amateur mma fighter...

  • @THMX1000 Then which fighters are really "good" then? Boxers? Look what happened to James Toney in MMA with a guy older than him. :)

  • @clearcombat

fighters has teached from martial artists...this is the

big difference between them i think. bolt's coach must be faster than him....?

  • @clearcombat I think It's a bit much to be talking about how he would do in MMA. He's a top fighter for real world situations. In a lot of situations on the ground he'd be looking to bite the opponent, strike to the groin, gouge the eyes etc. I know that Randy Couture is an active old timer in the pro ranks but I think Tommy's even older than he is. He's at least 45 if not pushing 50. Pus his stamina's pretty good. He used to be a good boxer that was offered the chance to turn pro!!

  • @chrisrobinson82 I agree with some of what you say, but to get throw by a Greco/Roman wrestler who can box and kick is a bit much for any street fighter. Remember, Randy Couture beat a guy six feet eight, 265 pounds who was the UFC champ at the time who trained with the Pat Militech camp. He has 11 champions in is stable so far. Tommy is very good, but MMA fighters can mix it up in the street as well.

  • @clearcombat absolute load of crap Bruce Lee spard all the time because he believed that would be closest to reality. Not to mention His stamina and fitness was throught the roof. do yourself a favore read the Art of expressing the human body then talk.

  • @1fightforright23 Bruce only sparred people of lesser talent. I have studied Lee's entire life and I know from many books and my own research that Bruce Lee would have a hard time with any serious MMA fighter. He had very little ground game and that comes from Dan Inosanto. He new that Bruce could not fight a pro fighter. Bruce Lee was very unhealthy, he lacked rem sleep, was self prescribing cortisone for himself, proper rest after training, and needed to visit a nutritionist.
