  • KNOCK HIM OUT!

  • 00:37 what is the sound of Wachù?

  • This game is really hard. Anyone saying they were running marathons with this game at the arcade is lying. Getting past 3rd Macho Man is ridiculously hard. Even the 3rd Dragon Chan is for experts only!

This is the hardest punchout ever created. Regular punchout is a cake walk compared to this version. Even 1,000,000 is insane.

  • Vodka Drugeski

  • Where can i get this amazing game?

  • I heard that there were rare Super Punch Outs where the FIRST Super Macho Man swung THREE times, and you could knock him out in two knockdowns. Anybody ever see that?

  • Do you know if the arcade version of Super Punchout has an end?

  • @graycat082 No it doesn't. Just like Punch Out, after the fourth time around, they "stay the same." That's how people could play for hours on one quarter.

  • @abysmalatrocious Thank you for answering my question.

  • @graycat082 I think it was stuff like this (where the game "kept repeating itself until infinity") is why games like NBA Jam started "quarter guzzling," just to finish a game. Now, I'm not familiar with MAME or these systems to play throwback games. Does THIS Super Punchout have an "automatic ending?"

  • I think games like this, that "stayed the same until infinity," is why they started making games that "quarter guzzle." Now, I'm not familiar with this system that allows playing throwback games. Does THIS version of Super Punch Out have an "automatic ending?" BTW, on arcade Punchout and Superpunchout, when you got to the 100th Fight, it would read Fight #0, and 101 would read Fight #1, etc. It took 3.5 hours to get to 100 fights on arcade Punchout.

  • @abysmalatrocious My guess is that this version of Super Punchout works the same way you just described. Fight #100 is listed as fight #0, 101 listed as # 1 and so on. I feel that way because it's just like the arcade version.I could however be wrong,

  • @abysmalatrocious Three and a half hours to reach fight #100 that takes determination.

  • @graycat082 I agree. I've only done it twice in my life. But, that's what a video arcade rat like myself at 12 years old did. One time was at a Godfather's Pizza when I was 12, it was the girls working there who said 3.5 hours!

  • Vodka Drunkenski? XD isnt him Soda Popinski?

  • @ToToo088 yes, he was called soda pop for the kids

  • @ToToo088 Yeah, I heard that (arcade came out in 1984 or so) when Mike Tyson's came out in 1987, they had to be more PC, not only to not promote drinking, but also stereotyping, it became better to call him Soda Pop, rather than Vodka Drunk! My Dad had to teach me when I was 11 when the game came out (I'm 38 now), that "sky" was a common Russian name ending, so Drunkenski sounded like Russian Drunk. He filled me in on what Vodka is, too.

  • Left! Right! Right! Left! Left! Right! Right! Right! Miss the creativity.

  • Man I wish I had the cab...

  • Bit of a fast count in this game...

  • ...lookin for this arcade cabnet game on ebay, in my mind one of the best arcade games from mu childhood... nice

  • The Canadian Bearhugger got his ASS fucked! DAMN! Green guy fucked his GODDAMN ass like he was HORNY for some serious fucking fucking!!!

  • @wildmanchris200 Geez, were you on crack or something?

  • I never knew there was an arcade version of this... The SNES version is one of my favorite games of all time. I must play this.

  • 1:09 NO KICKING!

  • Great Tiger is just Piston Hurricane with a cheap mustache and turban disguise.

  • The very first time I saw this version of Punch Out was @ Disney World in Orlando and their game room under the hotel was huge. They has maybe thirty of these versions in one row. I was surprised that some of the tactics the computer used was not boxing. Bear Hugger wants to hug you, Dragon Chan does head kicks, I almost dropped over in tears when I heard the name Vodka Drunkenski, Great Tiger is Piston Hurricane with a turban. Macho Man's best is two circling haymakers you see coming miles away

  • I've always loved, at 4:50, that "Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a new champion" music.

  • oh man, i remember this at my local arcade back in the day... the graphics used to seem to much better as a kid

  • Holy crap, I had no idea how much the SNES version owed to this much older version! Some of the animations are identical!

  • Vodka's got a disgusting face

  • the voices are funny

  • What year was this game?

  • @RussX5Z 1985

  • The home console version is better.

  • Release the Up-and-Coming Bogus!

  • 5:00

    Canadian bear *pause* ... fuckerrrr!

  • @Sejr ROFL

  • dye the players boxers hair red and he looks like glass joe :D

  • 1:11 ;D

  • What do you mean?

  • @weicxiable you perv lol

  • @camged11 no I like how the eyes see if you look at it you can see the eyes XC

  • I always emagined that this was little macs father...

  • right foot right foot right foot right foot

  • right hook

  • soda popinski?

  • Have you watch the video response?

  • RIGHT HOOK

    KNOCK HIM OUT

  • vodka drunkenski lol...

  • @XgrimXrockerX Yeah, go play Punch-Out, that's Soda.

  • XD HAHA Vodka Drunkinski

  • this is so weird

  • What do you mean?

  • i mean like compared to the nes and super nes version ( which is like this version ) its weird like how little mac looks and how hejust talks as he punches. in fact all the voices in this game sound strange

  • um thats not littel mac

  • well he has to have a name so why not call him little mac?

  • arcade versions & Nes port:

    -no transparency effects

-same sound (hit, knock down, rematch)

    arcade versions & Snes port:

    -same matches syles (3 min.)

-you and the opponent are at logical size

    arcade version & Wii port:

-little mac and the opponent are at logical size

If you compare all arcade games with the nes release/port, you'll also say that's a cheap ripoff.

It's also really really easy to say the snes version is better 'cause it was released 10 years later.

  • Well, let's look at the characters. Piston Honda- Piston Hurricane Soda Popenskie- vodka bedrunkskie These are just a few examples. Super punchout and Punchout have the characters at logical size and have a real referee because it is based more on real boxing (even though there were some outlandish characters.) Mike Tysons Punchout by comparison was more of a comical version.

  • How in the hell can you say that Mike Tyson's Punch Out is a "cheap ripoff" when the game is a home console sequel/follow up of an arcade game from the same franchise?

  • have you been living under a rock that game made punchout popular and its really fun you moronic idiot.

  • @GreenInvaders I believe that he is conplaining that Mike Tyson's Punch Out had inferior gameplay.

  • NO im disagreeing with some one who says it sucks>:(

  • @Smartguy561 FUCK YOU! YOUR THE FUCKING STUPID ONE MIKE TYSON'S PUNCH OUT WAS LEGENDARY YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO CALL IT STUPID U FUCKING CUNT YOUR THE FUCKING LOAD YOUR WHORE OF A MOM SHOULD HAVE SWALLOWED U FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT

  • @jhonnydrama Um, that guy has a right to his own opinions, but yeah, he went a bit too far with the ripoff line

  • @Smartguy561 Mike Tyson's Punch-Out was a port stupid

  • @Smartguy561 I pray to God you're joking! I really do!

  • Why not call him Little Mac?

    Because he's not Little Mac.

  • This game has a great spelling error* somewhere...

    * "Good Duck!" Instead of "Good Luck!"

  • Or maybe is a cheap joke with words.

  • Man Dragon Chans intro music sounds like shit LOL.

  • lol when I was a kid I thought he was saying "great fighting you're an upper cutting boxer".

  • RIGHT RIGHT LEFT LEFT LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT HOOK RIGHT HOOK RIGHT HOOK RIGHT HOOK LEFT!!! lol. I've always wondered what these old arcade punch out games were. I'm gonna have 2 download this.

  • I wondered also the same thing for all old arcade games (1970-1996)

  • Sorry, I meant to say what they were LIKE.

  • oh god i remember this game

we had one of these in a flea market in Buffalo back when i used to live there

  • @silentopinion LMAO.You sound pretty retarded...:( XD

  • @Frankensnizzle It's true though.

  • 5:00 "Canadian Bear!"

  • This and the original should be put on the Virtual Console arcade. They're both awesome!

  • "Watch out! I am a killer,

    I am the Bear Hugger!"

  • the game is insanely hard

  • I...barely see ANY way you could think he's black, just because someones not pale as a ghost doesn't mean there African.

  • That's not what I mean. He's just got a bit darker skin tone if you look close.

  • I could never get past Dragon Chan. That kick would knock me out everytime.

  • Sorry for being late, but can you avoid attacks by ducking? Are u using an original arcade game?

  • soda pop used to be called druken

  • 4:50, CRUNCH

  • Guess Super Mach Man needed to Release the Bogus some more...

  • yep

  • Bear Hugger was a lot harder here than in the Snes and Wii games.

  • Defend your title on Wii and You'll see.

  • You do like left jabs, don't you? XD

left, left, left, left, left :p

  • I'm right handed but where in this vid did you see that?

  • I don't remember why I paused the game back then. Maybe to made vids short enough so it can't be rejected.

  • man, i still can't beat Drunkenski. Now I think Ill be able to. Thanks much for posting this. You are good!

  • Great Tiger = yet another chapter in Piston Hurricane/Honda/Hondo's identity crisis ;-)

  • Kinda dissappointed Dragon Chan isn't in the new Punch Out

  • Mm, its ok, Aran Ryan is just as annoying.

  • like in the wii version?

  • Yea, on the Wii.

  • Needs more bike stealing

  • hahahahahahhahahahahaha.

  • doesnt the original punch out arcade had more fighters?

  • Have you seen my others videos about it before asking?

  • yes i did

  • The Snes was an improve version of this one.

  • The 9 years gap sure made the difference =p

The 15 years gap from the wii version seems to have made the difference too, looks pretty good :D I haven't played yet though

  • Only 5 opponents???

  • Yeah but back in time, none arcade game had a recorded voice and none arcade game had so many colors to make a 3d look like opponent.

  • also it's an ARCADE GAME so it's meant to just go forever, so it's best to keep everything to a minimum.

  • But they're sound effects, like the crowd and the punches. That voice sounds programmed, because it's nothing that I've heard from a human.

  • Was Vodka Drudinski really that easy? He always kicked my ass. I never got past him once. I like how Great Tiger is just Piston Hurricane with a turban LOL

  • is Bear Hugger black or white??????????????

  • He's white. LOL

  • First of all, he's Canadian. So, with that in mind, white man is a canadian stereotype.

  • all these years i thought he was a black dude

  • whaaaa..?

  • Hey Eric. This game was made at around the same time that the first Punch Out game was released. Is there any truth to the theory that this game was designed more as an add-on in the same manner that the Tekken games have add-ons to each of their installments? The sparse number of fighters in this game suggests to me that Nintendo may have originally aspired to include these characters in the first punch out arcade but couldn't.

  • Subscribe to me and you'll find an answer.

  • When I saw this game as a kid for the first time, I thought nothing could top Pizza Pasta from the first Punch-Out. Then came Vodka Drunkenski...

  • What are the odds that Great Tiger will be omitted from the upcoming Wii title?

  • none, he's in the new game

  • LOL at the autotune when the announcer calls dragon chan's name

  • Great video. You're an up and coming boxer.

  • vodka drunkinski?

I see why they didn't call him that in the nes

  • i know what did they think...the kids would see dude's name is vodka and go get drunk or something...like "my role model vodka drunkinski is always drunk so i should be too" LOL

  • Plus, I think Soda Popinski is a funnier sounding name.

  • Excuse me, Vodka Drunkenski and Soda Popinski are the same person, stupid!

  • It's not that bad, since they were playing around with Soda Popinski (his lines are still obviously based on his being a drunkard, so it's not like they really censored anything).

  • Vodka Drunkenski + "Soda's" comments between rounds = would be the funniest thing ever.

  • what a classic took me an age to work out you had to pull the controll stick up to avoid dragon chans speacial move... can't wait for this on wii

  • What the hell @ 3:35?

  • What do you mean?

  • My favorite arcade game of all time, period.

  • great tiger looks like piston hurricane.

  • Fights like him, too. He's probably the hardest character in this game compared to the NES version. Everyone else is either as hard or easier than the home versions.

  • Besides that and his "Hurricane Rush"-like move, Great Tiger's mirage dance pattern was later used by Heike Kagero.

  • Love the cornerman, "He's down for the count!"

  • where do i get this game from

  • Try mame.

  • vodka drunkenski xD,that name was better than the NES version

  • Yea dat sh@t funny right?

  • Vodka Drunkenski, hahahahha (soda popinski) clean version i guess

  • like trying to remove the joystick from the arcade cabinet yeah.

  • i remember you have to pull the joystick up in order to duck, since it was a new move from the 1st punch out.

  • How do I download an emulated version? This is my all time favorite arcade game.

  • the greatest game of the 80's

  • I agree. I like the 2 arcade punchout games more than the SNES and NES versions....

  • the greatest game ever played in the 80's
