  • British its better....thats all

  • Just came across this song one of the recommended songs on my page.

Pretty nice song, never heard of this group before, but everyone is lovable and deserves to be loved.

  • Happy days when sh1t mattered

  • Happy days when shit mattered

  • happy days.....

  • thegoodteacher(dot)com

  • Morrissey is in a class by himself!

  • Morrisey, Ian Curtis and then Mark Burgess (Chameleons)

  • <3

  • forget the roses - when are these getting back together - come on before they peg it

    ....

  • soundtrack of my life, No one speaks to me like The Smiths do

  • and, if I seem a little strange, well, that's because I am.

  • Re: The Dylan/Morrissey debate - Listen to Dylan if you want surreal, rambling poetry. Listen to Morrissey if you want to dance your legs down to the knees in your bedroom in those ugly new houses and/or feel sorry for yourself because nobody likes you. They're both stratospherically brilliant but there's not a shred of comparison to be made between them.

  • 'I don't have much in my life, but take it, it's yours.'

  • but I know that you would like me.. if you could see me, if only you could meet me

  • I am unloveable too, and I always wear black on the outside 'cause black is how I feel on the inside. The story of my life :(

  • I swear he wrote this about me.

  • you can tell jeff buckley was heavily influenced by Morrissey. my 2 favorites their both penetrating

  • The Smiths. Do i really have to say much more?

  • Not compared... but they are my two favorite. I have more Morrissey and Bob Dylan than any other artist out there.

  • Again who is bob dilan to compared to morrissey rsrsrsrsrsrs

  • who is BOB dylan...

  • @febamor

    You fail at life, sir...

  • no songwriter should ever be compared to Moz...(maybe Devoto)...Unique genius

  • 7 people are really fucking retarded!

  • I walked into class this morning and I saw a teacher wrote the lyrics to this song for a journal entry for another class. I fainted.

  • Beautiful Haunting Melancholy.

  • my teen theme song...way back when! "I wear black on the outside because black is how I feel on the inside. And if I seem a little strange, well that's because I am. But I know you would like me, if only you could see me, if only you could meet me." MEMORIES...

  • But, I know that you would like me.

If only you could see me.

(if only you could meet me)

  • and if I seem a little .. strange ...well that's because I am..

  • musicalement,vocalement, j'adore trop cette chanson

  • @MrOrdile Bollocks. Stretch Out & Wait, Dylan eat your heart out.

  • @MrOrdile Eeeek! Morrissey shall not be compared to Bob Dylan or anybody else...! >_<

  • @JayMimmin Agreed!!!!!

  • @llickthestars of course he is... but these 2 artists should NOT be compared. Thats All. :) They are both great in different ways. Enough said.

  • @JayMimmin Ok, talking people understand each other ;)

  • @llickthestars I personally think that Ian Curtis is the greatest songwriter of all time. Robert Smith is a close second, then probably Morrisey. Just my opinion, though.

  • @Thecuregalore94 Everbody has their own opinion =)

BTW, Ian Curtis is AMAZING. I love him... :')

  • @JayMimmin Couldn't agree more.

  • @Thecuregalore94 omg you get it. im not even sure if thats an opinion as much as it is fact. :D

  • @punkrockbenny Thank you very much :)

  • @Thecuregalore94 no - wrong - ian curtis was not a touch on morrisey. And well Robert Smith, he had a go but he never got close. People also forget that johnny marr made the smiths. Andy Rourke was a top bassman and mike Joyce could bang those drums. The only thing that ruined morriseys image was slagging off his former band members and saying they were a cog in the machine.

  • @shweet0161 Have you even listened to 'Closer' and 'Pornography?

  • @Thecuregalore94 yeah - i'm a mancunian so obviously - joy division and new order - i've listened to everything they've done. Saw new order a few times and played at hacienda in a band a couple of times!! I know its not fashionable but I prefered new order. Pornography is a great album. I take back my original statement as the argument is pointless - all the artists had there merits, and Morrisey should have jacked it in after the smiths.

  • @shweet0161 Well said, mate.

  • @MrOrdile

    My favourite songwriter is Morrissey.

  • @MrOrdile Don't sleep on Niel Young, mate, or Lauryn Hill (really listen to her lyrics,,,, chilling and 'spot-on,' to say the least)!

    Cheers, love!!!
