I'm coming out to my parent's tomorrow. >.o I'm also staying at a friend's house until I am assured that they, y'know, won't physically damage me... ^^Thankfully, my aunt and uncle know, so the can help me out if they happen to kick me out of the house.
My friend's already knew when I told them. They were like, "Yeah, we kind of thought you were."
I came out when I was nineteen=It cost me my home and my family ( everything I posessed was thrown on the front lawn and I was called a ''QUEER'' in front of the neighbours.) But ,things improve with time and Iover the years I have managed to find a new ''family'' ( even though we all have different surnames!! ) and they treat me with nothing but Love and Respect and they are Gay and Straight. PLEASE- Never give up on yourself no matter where you live or who you are.

nice advice man. "no one can make you feel inferior without your consent." the first step to accept myself is pretty easy, but i feel it's kind of difficult for us coming from an asian culture. i hope that if i ever be as strong as you and have a coming out story, i can use my experience and help the future generation like you.
@jedidavisWAMPA Davis - thanks for the comment. You ARE strong. And I'm proud of you. The future generation depends on leaders like us. Make it happen brother :)
ive also found a social network for the lgbt and lgbt supportive community. its like facebook. and its full of people who understand you. and where you are. i highly recomend joining it if your confused or scared. its called gays.com...... you should join up and see that youre not alone. and YOU ARE NORMAL.
so that was my coming out story. and i just want to put out there to anyone reading this that indeed coming out was the best thing i could do for myself. even tho my mom wasnt thrilled about it. nothing too extreem happened to me. and honestly i felt as if such a great weight had been taken off of me. it was easier to talk to people. and i started loving life and not being depressed.
(continuing) well after i said "im gay and she broke up with me." my mom just looked sad and said this isnt what i want for you. i think its a phase. and its not the kind of life that i would have chosen for myself. now we just ignore it and the only one i talk to is my brother. im 18 and he is 12 and he still is one of my best friends. he talks to me all the time and tells me that he loves me every day. my mom stopped saying it though. but he makes up for it.
(continuing) anyway, i fell in love and at dinner that night my brother asked why i was so sad after talking to breanna (she had broken up with me) and i my parents didnt know anything. but i just kept saying i dont know why i was. i just missed her. can we drop it. please... drop it this subject i dont want to talk about it. but then my mother pushed the matter and kept asking and wanting to know. by that time i was crying & i just said "Im gay. and she broke up with me."(cont in next comment)
my little brother was the first one i came out to. i was 16 (i knew it long before that, but i was trying to "become straight" and it just didnt work. either way he was 10, and he is was and still is the person im closesest with. anywyay, he was ok, and he said i knew you were different and i didnt know why you kept trying to date guys. well the way i came out to my parents was way different. i had a secret girlfriend, and i fell in love. (look at next comment for rest of this)
@Chibikirby373 It will be one of the scariest/liberating gifts you can grant yourself and your family. I'm proud of you for making that bold step towards living an authentic life. Best of luck and let me know how it goes! Hank
Hank---very cute. A little catty. I don't think I would want to cross you. Bet that tongue could really slice. Keep encouraging people. I am a gay Christian and work very hard to encourage others as well. Shame is bondage and you are doing a great job to break the chains. Kisses!
