  • YOU KNOW NOT GOD. EVERYDAY WE SEE GOD. JUST LOOK PAST THE PHYSICAL BODY. THIS IS WHAT 2012 IS ABOUT. ITS ABOUT THE LIGHT. THE CREATER SAID. "LET US MAKE MAN IN OUR IMAGE, AFTER OUR LIKENESS." IT DID NOT SAY "LET US CREATE MAN. THERE IS A DEFINITE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE WORDS CREATE AND MAKE. TO CREATE MEANS TO BRING INTO BEING FROM NOTHING. TO MAKE MEANS TO FORM OR FASHION SOMETHING OF MATERIALS ALREADY EXISTING. TO CAUSE MATERIALS TO EXIST IN DIFFERENT FORM. TO BE CONTINUED. I AM YOREL.

  • Mankind believes in God but some choose to ignore(Atheist) God! Some choose to belief in a God that doesn't exist(Christianity)! But Most Believe in God BUT The name of God is AN ISSUE! The creator Is Eternal Unseen Lord of All Mankind he sent his message to Men from Adam to Muhammad One religion from the beginning People strayed from the Path But never did they forget about God! God is not Begotten, nor does he Beget(reproduce) he is above his creation unique to everything in the heaven n earth!

  • I have seen god.

  • Love your work,

    but it's been over a year where is 9 & 10?

I'm insistent only because of the level of production.

  • excellent

  • I'm Catholic and I believe some saints have seen God. Example would be Padre Pio, who god gave the stigmata too.

  • So just because a man can't see god means there is not god? Then i have a question for you have you seen your mind?

  • Well done! Great to see people questioning the dogma.

    May reason prevail.

  • Please make more vids!

  • No man has seen God, before Moses. But no man has seen God, because when you see God, you are no longer a man, you are born again, as the son of God. John 6:46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. I saw God. Hear my story in the Gospel of Timothy and join the group Timotheans on YouTube.

  • Depends on which god you're looking for.

Emperor Hirohito was seen by many.

  • The women said "have anyone seen god? well if so what different does it make?"

heres my opinion on that and what i know about this; i died as 9 years old and god appeared to me in my death and he told me he was god and he had a son, Isa (name for jesus in middle-east) then he opened a door for me and jesus appeared he me and he told me "Dear -my name- tell them they must love me" becouse those around me at that time were muslims and so on..that was hes message so yes it does make difference

  • I have seen god.

  • I just watched all of your videos. I started going to church in 2002. I, as the christians would say, "fell back" several times. Every question you stated were reasons why I had a hard tine believing. I am not joking in saying I have had every single question in my head that you have made clearly inconsistent. After dealing with several christians and being lied to by them, stolen from by them, and even looked at on a regular basis as you are not as good as us.(continued below)

  • This is an amazing study especially in the sense that I have extensive biblical knowledge. Everything this channel says is completely true! Trust me, I can quote scripture forever. I don't feel it's a complete waste of time and there are good things in there. I do believe in God. I know because I have prayed and been led out of drug abuse several times. I believe that what God's doing. I just can't believe anymore it is the christian god.

  • @smoothintentions I think most transitions out of Christianity that end up in non-belief generally take a short trip through a redirection of faith (something else), agnosticism (we can't say for sure if there is a deity), to atheism.

It is a very personal journey, and all I can suggest is that your read as much as possible. Learn more about science, and foundational ideas like the scientific method, learn more about cosmology, biology, history, etc.

    Good luck on your journey!

  • Comment removed

  • @smoothintentions No offense, but your claim that you "have prayed and been led out of drug abuse several times" actually demonstrates simple redirection. To put it simply, you would have been 'led' if it were God, Zeus, Ra, even food, music, or TV.

It's common among those who abuse substance A to replace substance A with substance B. This point is made in that you've reverted "several times"; either God really sucks at leading people or your willpower gave out...I leave the decision to you.

  • @onijester56 Look, I barely remember writing this so long ago. My views have changed drastically. Even my name has changed, as you can see. This is the former "smoothintentions". Check out some of my favorite videos. Since that time I have bettered myself through the knowledge of truth and the power given to us all. That would be your will. I no longer believe God pulled me out of addiction. It was my willingness to stop. I am a growing mind on the path to ALL truth. Forgive the ignorance.

  • @ProvokedArtists It's good that your views have changed. However, sadly, I constantly encounter people on videos like this where sooner or later the discussion eventually gets to your comment within days (if not hours) of me reading them.

And, also, I know people who have gone years and are still under the spell of ignorance. As such my reply to yours is in part preemptive to such people and in part the use of a 'worst case scenerio'.

So have a happy day and past ignorance is forgiven. :)

  • A great series, fantastic, I've subscribed. Whats with the metallica endings? its made me want to look out some of my old albums.

  • This series is great. Your videos will get more people to think than Dawkin's book ever can.

To the American ear, he sounds pompous and arrogant. But you sound like one of them. And you simply use the scriptures to let the Bible deconstruct itself...

    It's quite effective.

  • Your premise is one defined in human logic/reasoning/analytical methodology, nothing beyond.

Look CLOSE at what you yourself put together here by beginning w/ the comparison of John 1:18 & John 6:46, then look very close at Exod 6:2-3, where God would admit having confronted His own people without them having known who they met was of His being/presence in this select example.

The end premise would seem pretty simple-God reveals Himself to who He wants to.

  • Impressive!

Your series are some of the best I've seen anywhere. I hope you'll do many more.

  • oh oh oh...I have an idea for a song to end the series...although the words are a bit harsh and may not be what you want to convey but, have you thought about A Perfect Circle's "Judith"?

  • good song! They have a "Tool" sound to them but a little less edgy (the lyrics notwithstanding).

When I am producing the videos I usually have several songs available for the main score and then a couple ready for the outro. After I get the images lined up with the voiceovers, I test out the music that sounds best to me.

So basically it is a "game time decision", but this song is going into the pile.

    Thanks!

  • *thinks really hard thinking about a wish*

"I wish that someone that wants me to believe what he or she believes can lucidly demonstrate why with evidence, reason, and objective information that comports with reality and satisfies a beyond reasonable doubt standard of proof."

  • This comment is a threat.

  • Really good series.

Great pace, quality, content and music.

    Thanks for this.

  • Thanks again for watching, there are 2 more videos in the series.

Part 9 is in early stages of development, but it will be fairly short like Part 8 (as will part 10).

We are, however, thinking about putting a conclusion video together after part 10, but don't hold me to that ;)

  • Of course i will hold you to THAT! (^.^)

  • Another great video. I'm so glad one of these ended up on FFreethinker's channel, or I never would have seen all of them.

  • May the Almighty Battery be with you, as it "is found in me". Nice outro!

  • i will say it again, outro music rocks. great taste in music. love the series!

  • 2 more to maintain the rock outro theme :)

  • These are great videos. Very thoughtful and well done.

  • Thank you!

  • Excellent. Was wondering when the next episode would come along.

You guys are doing a *great* job. =)

  • Thanks for your generous remarks.

  • "No man can see my face and live"

    So, God is a gorgon?

  • This is where the Christianite logic is derived from. If god can be contradictory in his words, so can man.

  • Excellent work.

  • Thank you!

  • since you live in Texas are you involved in the ACA (atheist community of Austin) or anything like that there?

  • You know, we have considered becoming more involved. Real life circumstances have precluded lots of travel or investment of time resources outside of what we give to get this series created.

We have a large family, and at this time of year, back to school activities are in full swing.

In short, yes we'd like to, but haven't just yet.

  • this is truly wonderful series. It asks and honestly tries to answer a lot of questions that I have always had in regards to many problems with the bible.

I also like the use of Metallica music.

    =)

  • Thank lmorphien!

  • Great video series. Which part of Texas are you from again? I am located around San Antonio. I thought it would be great to get a group of rational thinkers together to represent the state, maybe even support a voice in government.

  • We are in southeast Texas, that is about all I am willing to say about location :)

  • the first god we saw was a ball of gas we know now as the sun. Then the "Sun" turned into the "son". It was all downhill from there.

  • omg. the scene from hbo's "The Wire" at the end, with omar on the stand was a supreme choice :)

    "i robz drug dillas"

  • Thanks Neeboopsh, we *just* finished "The Wire" on Netflix. Absolutely incredible.

I *HAD* to put Omar in this one. If Mrs. Sinecure vetoed it, I had some pics of Atticus Finch at the ready ;)

  • can't wait for the next one =D did anyone see the lady on pen and teller about the eyes of god on her bathroom door and the water stain on her door is the image of mother marry =D people actually go to her house to see 2 wood stud on her door and water stains .... lol...

  • *rolls eyes*

  • Good one :]

  • Thank you, 2 more to go!

  • Great vid. Ten times better after hearing Machine Head in the background. Great taste!

  • Yes true great vid, BUT, Metallica, Battery in the background...

    watch?v=m99ybtk4QNs

  • Love Machine Head, but the music portion of the video (ever since part 3) is usually creative commons artists - so it wasn't what you thought it was :)

    Thanks for watching.

  • great video! The audio was very quiet though :(

  • Thanks SucculentJuniper, I am definitely considering remastering the audio.

The problem was that either my kids or our new cat broke the mic on the headset I bought less than 6 months ago to record better voiceovers.

I had to revert back to the desktop boom mic and the audio quality is poor comparatively speaking.

    Thanks for watching though!

  • Nice video.

  • Thank you!

  • Thanks, did you check out part 7 from a few weeks ago?

  • Your videos are excellent! It really seems that you are impassioned and, best of all, you know what you are talking about. Keep up the good work.

And, of course, you get extra points for Metallica! I'm going to need to listen to Master of Puppets (album) now.

  • You are too kind. The goal is to get people thinking and I think it is working.

    *love* me some Metallica :)

  • Pure epicness!

  • Just absolutely awesome. I love your channel - the vids are always worth the wait.

  • Thanks for watching!

  • Awesome video, and great choice of song at the end. Haha.

  • Thanks, need two more good ones for the last two videos.

  • i know! the middle "god damn you" part of six feet under's "When Skin Turns Blue". ull like it. trust me! hehe.

  • Just listened to that song....

Thanks for the suggestion LordHines420, but that doesn't quite do it for me :P

  • Oh but I saw god in MY turd that same day at the same time, and I am very scientific indeed. Eat That smarty pants.

  • that confirms it then, it WAS god!!!!

  • aw :( well at least i tried! nice work with the old school metallica stuff so far. hell yeaaaaa emphasis on the helllll lol.

  • As I watch this, I am simply reminded that most humans are simple, gullible, and cannot understand they are being duped over & over again. They are truly slaves to their ignorance

  • i have seen god, in a plate of spaghetti ;)

  • oh? i saw god in my turd lastnight.

  • bravo *****

  • Thanks!

  • Not to take away from this video cause i think its brilliant(along withthe series) but i love your voice. You could be selling me poison, telling me its poison, but at the same time telling me poison is alright and i would happily buy it :)

  • Oh wait i dont know if that came out right!! Umm... Not that i think youre selling poison or anything i just think you have a beautiful voice(trying my best not to sound sleasy but having a bad feeling im failing all the way :()

  • We laugh about the voice comments. No offense taken ;)

I think Heinlein was on to something in Starship Troopers when he goes out of his way to mention the last thing the cap troopers heard before the jump was the comforting voice of a female.

  • If I had a nickel for every time I got a comment about her voice....

    Thanks for watching.

  • Lol well im glad im not the only one. I know its a bit late at night but im away off now for a cold shower. Goodnight and thanks for the videos :D

  • another brilliant video. thank you for your insight.

  • Thanks for the kind words.

  • How can one see something which doesn't exist?

  • Oh No! Is this your last video in this series? This makes me sad....:(

  • No, there are two more :)

  • Thank God! HAHAHA! No pun intended :)

  • The reason I love your alls videos is because you use scripture to prove your arguments, beautiful!

  • These videos were derived from study notes prepared for discussion with christians that would no doubt refuse to entertain anything but a "scriptural" defense. It focused our discussion then, and helps focus the discussion in this visual medium.

Thanks for being a fan cassiearocks.

  • holysinecure, a good source are the videos of klomckin who describes a gazillion or so contradictions. Converting some of these to a less dry format as this video would be a great service!

  • Our originally compiled document in PDF format includes 10 chapters and then a few appendices. One of which includes probably 4 or 5 pages of scriptural contradictions.

In light of the other 10 chapters in the previous 35-40 pages it may have been overkill, but it is still there and may be a candidate for future videos after this series.

    Thanks for your comment!

  • You're welcome. I can' t see any of that as overkill given the overkilling that has been done and is being

done in the name of religion for thousands of years ...

The more that we demonstrate the emptiness of these myths that grip the minds of so many the better!

  • Heh, I love these vids.

I would have thrown in God's wrestling match though.

  • I've heard some people try and rationalize the wrestling match by saying it was jesus or jacob or whatever the heck else lol.

  • Gods wrestling match?

  • NicosMind, google your question, take first link:

Genesis 32.22-32 God Wrestles with Jacob

  • hahaha thanks for pointing out the passage.. that was quite an interesting read =D *spoiler* god crying for merci in Jacob's headlock

no wonder he can't defeat iron chariots.... gee he can't even win a wrestling match vs Jacob who had a dislocated joint! embarrassing

  • Well thanks for the link. I asked cause i couldnt be assed googling. You know that old saying "google is your friend". Well i bless the community of youtube with that honor. Cause the Flying Spagatti Monster does sayeth. Anyway you forced me into it and now i know. God can create the heavens and Earth in 6 days but cant beat an old man even when cheating with the old "hip dislocator". Shocking really. Does that mean man is better than god?

  • NicosMind, on my browser (SeaMonkey, possibly also firefox) I just highlight words and select the link for a google search, so it takes about a second. One can't compare man to god since the latter does not exist (almost certainly).

  • Great vid! It's the simple things like the question that you're discussing that show that the bible isn't just full of contradictions. Some parts of the bible are absolutely not reconcilable with others.

  • Contradictions were a big part of our deconversion. Thanks for the comment!

  • DX Noooo!!! I accidentally rated 1 star by swiping the mouse across the screen and by complete accidental gestures clicked the mouse on 1 star in mid swipe... :(

So I think it's 5*'s anyways and I enjoy the rest of your videos. great stuff.

  • Aw.

Well, if I hadn't read your comment I wouldn't have bothered to rate five stars, so it comes out even.

    =)

  • sweet! ^_^

thanks for evening the score. *highfive*

  • This was great!! I never knew this before your video. thank you.

  • very nice

  • Thanks!

  • Great video! Just one of the many contradictions in the HOLY BOOK.

  • Indeed. Thanks for watching.

  • When processing is done, it should be viewable in HD (crossing my fingers).

  • Good as always. I enjoy your series.

  • Thank you, just a few left to produce.

  • Interesting video

  • Thank you :)

  • I'm so excited I can't even wait to watch the video before commenting!

  • Hahahaha, this one is short and sweet.

  • It was everything I'd hoped it would be! This issue makes me think about the true consequences of the common apologetic claim that one cannot "know" or "understand" God; that he works in "mysterious ways." If one cannot know God, just as one cannot see him, then can one truly profess to speak or interpret the word of the God? Is it not blaspheme to presume to know the face or mind of God? Can one communicate with something they inherently cannot understand? (rhetorical) Thanks, you rock!

  • Thanks josh, I really enjoy producing these videos and essentially guiding the viewer through what is in our brain as we study these topics.

  • another great addition to your series

  • Thank you!
