I don't know. I mean I understand what you're saying and I can understand, say, people being upset with the Minnesota Vikings. But while it feigns a documentary style I'd say it's also making clear that it's an inaccurate cartoon. The comic/this pilot don't ever seriously claim to be accurate representations of Viking life. Of course its now a bland sitcom-style thing for the most part. Long past it's prime. But many of the strips by Dik Brown are still brilliant if you go back and read them.
Do you suppose that this cartoon was very popular in Minnesota?
