  • two things...what pickup config was he using & why didn't he hit the floyd?

  • im pretty sure that if i buy that guitar... that I can play like MAB

  • I WANT THIS GUITAR.

  • u faggots always go on about his hair...what about how good he plays. geez.

  • MAB is one of the greatest guitarist ever i have a MAB3 signed by him and it sounds flawless i now play even better than before i love this guitar easy to play and it sounds better than my B.C Rich warlock i been playing a long time and i finally got a got a dean and realize what i been missing out on thank you MAB for your signature guitar i will treasure it always you fellow guitarist the RANMAN

  • i like MABs hair, unique

  • i have that guitar and it doesnt work, cause MAB aint playing it, and i dig the hair

  • Michael signed my guitar a few months ago... Now I play like Chuck Norris would play a guitar.

  • Johnny Ramone has been practicing

  • the new quad looks so stupid compared to the old ones

  • Great guitarist

    Complete gimp

  • He has got the most unique picking style ever.

  • @CobrazVeNoMx The only guy whos ahead of him in unique picking style is Marty Friedman

  • @WickedMonkey154 Indeed! Marty's style is so strange.

  • and the mesa boogie in the depth ! XD

  • MAB is insanely accurate... Geez man

  • I have played Dean Mab1 and Mab3 and they get very close (it's way better with Emg ).... but it's the best guitar for that price I've ever played...

  • MAB uses Marshalls for his lead sounds and Mesas for rhythm. ALSO, Vypys suck. I have the 75 and I hate it.

  • was anyone else able to time when his sweeps were going to come in

  • If i will buy Dean guitar it will be Darrell model.

  • who other than MAB himself to demonstrate this guitar ?!

  • this is a great guitar, i own it. don't be fooled by the expensive marshall heads, i have a peavey vypyr 15w 100 dollar guitar at home and it sounds extremely close to this. the unfortunate thing is that i bought it used and the middle and bridge pickups don't work right now. nothing but problems ever since i bought the guitar. btw this does NOT have a basswood body, it's alder. it says on the specs on the websites and the tonal characteristics make that obvious.

  • @Fluffypopcicle I don't even think he's using one of those Marshalls. If he's using one of the amps, he is using the Mesa.

  • @PuR1fy

mesas are even more expensive than marshalls lol.

  • @Fluffypopcicle I know. It's just to say that I doubt your vypyr can recreate the sound of a mesa, and even of a marshall, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't.

  • @PuR1fy

close enough. it sounds pretty damn close.

  • @Fluffypopcicle I'd like a recording of that. No offence, but I don't believe an amp that costs 100 dollar can keep up with one that is a few thousands.

  • @PuR1fy

you have to have some pretty good equipment to make a recording that high quality too. no matter what you do, an amp will always sound better in person. i don't know the slightest thing about recording outside of my little pod farm realm anyways.

  • @Fluffypopcicle Yes, true. Anyway, no matter anyway. Mesa should wipe the floor with any vypyr anyday, so I don't care for proof. I believe my ears. :)

  • @PuR1fy

agreed, but for a 100 dollar amp the vypyr kicks ass.

  • @Fluffypopcicle Agree. ;)

  • As long you like your tone, everything's fine, forgot to add that.

  • @Fluffypopcicle

Even if it had a basswood body that doesnt make it a bad instrument. Makers like Music Man, Suhr and Tom Anderson use Basswood. The Guthrie Govan suhr is a basswood back with a maple top.....amazing wood combo.

  • @ThieleM

no it's not. guthrie's guitar is a mahogany body, mahogany neck, and rosewood guitar. in the interview of his signature guitar he said that surh convinced him that the basswood back and maple top combo was the best all around wood combination, but guthrie just wanted mahogany. i never said basswod was a bad wood (although it can be dreadful), i just said that this guitar has an alder body like all of michael's signature guitars.

  • @Fluffypopcicle

Get the new issue of Guitar Player. Guthrie's new antiqued sig guitar has a roasted maple neck and fingerboard, basswood back and a maple top

  • FWIW, he is up to 3 signature models now.

  • You are right about not saying that basswood is bad...that is my bad.

I'm pretty used to people slamming basswood.

  • @ThieleM

those are the people that try out the cheap 200 buck guitars with crummy stock pickups and assume that basswood sucks. joe satriani, steve vai, and john petrucci have all made basswood sound dreamy. there is such thing as bad and good basswood. dean uses some pretty shitty basswood. ibanez uses good bassswood.

  • i only have one problem with MAB........ his hair.

  • @farlay lololol its a wig

  • @farlay

    You mean his wig?

  • @ThieleM what what whaaat??? realy?

  • @farlay

Its a good wig, if I go bald I'll get one just like it.

  • @farlay when you can play like him ,,,,you can even put ur pubic hair on ur forehead

  • @farlay I bet he's bold and wearing a mop as a wig atm^^

  • @farlay Pretty Shallow, stupid, simple, ignorant, childish way to judge someone.

  • @farlay Am I the only fella who likes his hair? :P

  • @farlay And he play glam...

  • @farlay it's not a hair it's a helmet

  • The True Virtuoso!

  • i couldnt be able to play that guitar. the lower horn is way too close to the neck for me

  • hes got a really unique picking style

  • 24th?

  • 2nd

  • IM FIRST BITCHES!
