  • Great video

  • At 1:49, I believe it's spelled "solAce."

Other than that little nitpick, this is truly excellent work.

And v impressive that u have, yourself, the humility u urge on others, & the recognition that u, too, could be wrong.

    A+.

(And Christianist psychos: if u get your rocks off threatening people like this w/ "the fires of hell," realize there's no moral difference between u & AlQaeda -- except u lack the stones to act 4 yourself, & leave it to God to be the Bad Guy.)

  • Excellent video; what a lot of people seem to forget is the difference between subjective belief and objective knowledge.

  • Wonderful

  • hey. i don't know that my body is going to continue life's cycle. In fact all the pharaohs new that their bodies would not be decomposed so how can I know that? Still I know that i want see "god" either. Unless I have some hallucination in the moment before my death.

  • You pretty much, sum up the basis that "all" religion operates on... brilliant.

  • Amazing. nuff said. ...no wait ....amazing.

  • FAVed

  • So you're saying that religion is bad correct? Because religion is no different than any other gang on these streets (too an extent). but you're looking at all the negative sides of religion therefore I'm not surprised that you have a NEGATIVE side on religion. Religion brings people together and shows the helpless how to be happy and it constructs communities. People who hate Christians or Muslims or any person based on belief has got to see both sides of the situation.

  • @jesus35688 Incorrect, I've got loads of videos saying that "religion is bad", this one actually cites the many positive effects of religion on the believer. Whether religion is positive or negative is largely irrelevant, I'm more concerned about it's veracity.

If you have an argument against the video, please state it.

  • @Dom0nePhilosophy “Above all you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” 2 Peter 1:20-21.

That cited The bible also predicts 9/11

"and he shall set his engines of attack against thy walls, and with his spikes he shall break down thy towers."

    Ezekiel 26:8-10

  • @jesus35688 "men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit". How do you know this? Sure I've been told this also, and indeed other religions with false gods also state this knid of thing...but but how do you know this is "truthful"? Surely its more likely to be a lie, right? Surely you see his?

  • @Dom0nePhilosophy It's not that I don't understand because I do, you're merely stating that we can't be 100% sure about religions accuracy. However if its More LIKELY. It was more LIKELY to accept that the earth was the center of the universe at one point, see? the real truth is is that we can't be 100% sure of anything, learn to trust and believe that the day will come when we ALL know ALL answers.

  • @jesus35688 "the real truth is is that we can't be 100% sure of anything",

    1) Are you honestly equating our ability/inability to be certain about whether China exists (for example), to that of whether somebody walked on water 2000 years ago. Ridiculous. Have you heard of evidence, as opposed to anecdote.

    2) your statement infers that you know christianity could be a lie.

RE earth at center of universe. To be fair, that's propagated by the bible and is in fact a less stupid concept than genesis

  • @Dom0nePhilosophy Nothing is ridiculous. and to your point of no evidence

"Jesus used parables to get across a watered-down version of His true message, because the masses were not prepared–as His apostles were–to literally discard their old lives and follow Him 24/7. So they couldn’t possibly understand what His mission really was."

  • @jesus35688 Uh, yeah--it "predicted" 9/11 so well that not one person on earth caught the allusion and did anything to prevent the tragic events of that day--which were, let's remind ourselves, happily brought to us by religious believers.

  • @pandurate Extreme religious believers.

  • @jesus35688 Are the ones who "only" hate atheists, homosexuals, etc. or who want to ban stem cell research "extreme"?

  • @pandurate Yes.

  • @jesus35688 Religion is not ll bad, but there are enough bad things within it to muddy the waters from pure to cloudy ( please dont be offended at this example ). You could argue that the nazi's had some good ideas..but does that excuse what they did to the jews. But yes you can say that they built highways, cheap cars for the common man and healthcare. You see thats the nub, sure there are some people that get comfort from religion but is it worth the harm that it does?

  • @tim99uk What harm? It was Hitler who pointed at the Jews and started saying that they're the reason Germany was doing so poorly when in reality the Jews were the rich. I don't blame religion for the holocaust neither the WHOLE Nazi party (except Hitler himself) but instead I call that extreme fascist-nationalism. And no religion isn't bad ,but in radical situations it looks no different than a rival street gang. It all starts with how the individual digests information.

  • @jesus35688 Well aside from all the wars that are started in the name of some sort of god..

If religion was a personal thing then i dont care if you believe in the easter bunny or whatever .. but when groups of bunny worshippers get to geather and have people elected to push bussyanity and pass laws promoting what the great bunny says "thou shall not eat rabbit" then it does become a problem for me personally .. and then of course to please the bunny you NEED to spread the good bunny news..

  • @jesus35688 did you pay attention whilst watching this video ?? or had you already made up your mind, that this video was inherently wrong or is devisive ?? This video is a critique of the psychology and motivations associated with religious belief but clearly at your level of intellect, you've missed the point completely. Furthermore you have failed "to see both sides of the situation" ???

  • @Largegray Okay here:1.This video is a posing a question (Is religion 100% accurate?), therefore it can't be wrong/right

2.Don't be a troll, what would your mother say if she saw you saying stuff like that to strangers?

  • Awesome video! Favorited and subbed!

But man, this video looks so strange in my favorites list that is mainly composed of Atheist / Anti-Christian songs :D

  • The heart has two functions

    1) To pump the deoxygenated blood from the body to the lungs

    2) To pump the oxygenated blood from the lungs to the rest of the body

It's a bloody miracle this thing works at all, let alone from before birth until death, without, er, missing a beat....

  • @samurai1999 Hmmm.... Am I going to prove you wrong, or not on that last statement?

  • @samurai1999 I wonder if I should prove you wrong on that last statement. I think Cardiac Dysrhythmia should say enough. :D

  • Good video, very clear message.

  • subbed

  • GOD will only work in your life, if you ask him to. He doesnt want to force us to believe in him or force us to love him. It is our choice. Just like you cant force someone to love you. No man could ever create this world or its inhabitants. We are made in his image. He loves us the same way you love your family. We are his children and he takes care of us the same way that you take care of your children. You ask about his existence because your heart is telling you to find him. Seek him. Pray

  • The title doesn't go with the video. GOD is not an emotion or something that an individual makes up. He is real. If he knows this, he wouldn't have to ask people to try to prove that GOD exists. Ask him into your heart, that's all it takes. Then you will see the difference in the truth and this video lie.

  • @franklinpalmer1 You are a living prove that this video is not a lie XD if god is real, you would be able to answer me this... what is god? how do you know that? why do you believe that? please answer, I really want to know what you'r thinking XD

  • You know I luv ya, Dom! This was brilliant as usual!

  • "I'm morally inept and require external guidelines to assist me in creating empathy and consideration for others"

That could not be any less true. If you think people follow Christ because they want a set of moral standards then you don't understand the point of Christianity. Following the standards set by the Bible is a response to believing that Jesus is your savior, not following those laws makes Jesus your savior.

This is yet another accusation of Christians being emotionally weak

  • @smt1192 1) I think you've failed to grasp the concept of the video.

    2) If it helps, a "creative" and "intelligent" riposte you could make to my comment could be something like "well you've failed to grasp why the bible is true" :D

    3) My next video may very well be on the concept that religion is absolutely selfish ie it's value to the individual will ALWAYS supersede any positive/negative impact within the individual's environment. That was essentially your point wasn't it.

  • @Dom0nePhilosophy I understand the concept of this video, it is talking about what we can and cannot prove about God, people's experiences with God, and people.

And in essence this is where you contradict yourself. There is no way to prove that someone is morally inept, especially with you coming from the position of relative truths.

  • @smt1192 See, I told ya you don't understand it. You should have more faith in my criticisms. You've conflated the topics of god with religion (presumably christian religion). They are not the same. This video is very much about religion ie I don't state that a god doesn't exist.

Anybody that requires a bronze age book to tell them the difference between right and wrong IS morally inept. What do you believe should happen to adulterers? What does god say?

  • @Dom0nePhilosophy Well, this is only a half truth for a lot of christians. You can't exactly say they are using the bible as a guidline since a lot of them have hardly read three pages. On top of that, the morals portrayed in the bible aren't exactly streight forward, meaning that what they are "following" has a lot more to do with interpritation and generalization.

  • @smt1192 I've met thousands of Christians who claim that there would be no morality without God and that Atheists are immoral. You can look that up here on Youtube and find many Christians who feel this way. Many have testimony stating that prior to becoming a believer they were out of control and that only God had the ability to set them straight.

  • @julzabro Unfortunately many people who call themselves Christian are misguided. There are plenty of moral people that are atheists or not Christians. Heck I'd say there are probably more moral people who are atheist/agnostic than Christians.

The argument is whether the natural morality of humans comes from being created with a sense of morality or something that is weakly held together by people

  • @smt1192 Yes, many Xtians are misguided but they refer 2 themselves as Xtian cuz that's what they r. 2 b Xtian all u need is a belief that Jesus is the Son of God. Yes, Xtians point fingers at each other exclaiming, "You're not a real Xtian!" bcuz the Bible can & IS intrepretated in SO many different ways. Nonetheless, morality is natural and it is held together as well as our intellect allows. If our morality were from a god, it would've never needed 2 grow/change but it has.

  • @smt1192 "This is yet another accusation of Christians being emotionally weak"

It's an honest observation not an accusation.

  • If you don't believe in GOD, then why did you work so hard to try to prove his nonexistence. GOD gives you the choice. If you want to truly know if he exists. Ask, him to be your Lord and savior and follow his commandments and then you will truly know. Man has worked from the very start to be GOD. You ask anyone to prove it. You ask that because you want to know he is real. Try him, he will prove everything.

  • @franklinpalmer1 Was this vide REALLY trying to prove the nonexistence of ANY god? I didn't notice that. Did you read the description notes?

  • This is great. Well done. Well done indeed.

  • Favorited and subscribed...

  • well done, sir. I usually don't like videos of this subject, but you've made your point in a way that is clear, intelligent and respectful to the beliefs of others.

  • I think the major point with Christianity isn't whether the God exists or not but where he exists. The location of the God is the mind of a believer.

  • I know God exists because I died and got sent back and various other things and I was a serious doubter and received all proof beyond any reasonable doubt. The word believe has been mistranslated by idiots over the years. Do you seriously believe you can fly Or do you believe you can't fly. You either believe or don't believe is the same as know or don't know. Most fail because of morons like you mashing definitions up.

  • @yernott Watch the video, your personal delusions are explained therein. And belief is not the same as knowing. You are the only one here mashing definitions. You can't turn belief into knowledge just because you want to and by changing it's definition. Nice try though, but it only serves as an example of the type of ad hoc justification the video talks about.

  • @yernott It is you, dear sir, who is the moron because you erroneously claim to know the meaning of belief - and, pathetically, you do not. The author of this video, no doubt, has sneezed out more intelligence than you could ever hope to have. If you really believe that you died and were sent back, I wonder why... and isn't it a pity you didn't get to stay there?

  • I actually really like this video

It's balanced, it's respectful, and still gets the point across

    Well done.

  • Pretty cool video!

  • kill this video kill it with fire

  • Very insightful video, I liked it a lot!

It is good to understand some of the psychology behind religion. Unfortunately it shows that theists have emotionally invested so much into their ideology that it is unlikely to persuade them with reason alone that their position is not validated in any way.

That is why I like Hitchens, he counters theists with their own weapens, appeal to emotion.

  • There is a difference between those who deny god and those who see that we really cant determine whether there is a god. I don't like to say god doesn't exist. It seems as illogical to argue why god MUST exist as to argue why god must NOT exist. But religion is undoubtedly useful, at least in the sense of societal stability and motivation. Same with ethics and morals. Not that I feel the need to give a damn.

  • Ok, this is totally right, butt the people need to believe in something to live. I'm an atheist, but my family is not. They tell me that they believe in god, not because they have the bible, but because they need someone to help them in the hardest times. When someone dies, you won't think he's dead and so one, the life continues. No, you need to think someone is there to keep him safe, to make him wait for you! That you will be together forever! The people believe because they need.

  • Leading theory at the moment is that the universe equates to nothing (space being the opposite of matter, proven by some tediously long equation that I don't recall the name of)...thus not infringing upon any laws of physics. A god on the other hand defies all reason. Trying to explain how the universe couldn't have began from nothing by using a god that supposedly always existed is a logical fallacy.

Like the vids quite a bit, wish you had checked off "there is definitely no god" though.

  • Atheism: the holding that "I don't KNOW!"

Philosophical agnosticism is the stronger position: No one can KNOW.

(There is also the Agnostic from Apathy: I don't know and I don't care.)

  • @sixstringrocker21

faith brought down the towers and killed thousands. islam is about faith too.

  • It's All About Faith.

  • Fan-friggin-tastic video mate, if only this were aired for all to see. It is simple yet cuts straight to the heart of the problem with this entire argument and division between beliefs(and lack of).

    Favorited and subbed!

  • @ulthea Thank you very much!

  • @ulthea Couldn't agree more. Done & done.

  • Favorited

  • Awesome !

  • another example is hygene and germs the bible stated about having a good hygen and etc. yet we just discovered germs, hygene and bacteria on WW2. If they were not inspired by god how did they know. if you are right my friend how come we just learned about them in 60years??

  • @nanotech901 The bible says a lot of things, but to imply that germs were known about in biblical times is incorrect. They did not know the world was round, as a matter of fact it is the bible that implies that it is flat or square. And there were civilizations before Columbus that knew the world was round...The bible may be physically real, but it's important to remember when it was written and by whom.

  • @nanotech901 Well I could come around and you could smell my armpit, or suck my finger. :)

It's not difficult to understand that hygiene, are most welcome if you stay among other humans.

Oh, and I do shower everyday, and wash my hands. :)

  • @nanotech901 They observed that people with good hygiene didn't get sick as often as people who had bad hygiene? Pretty simple, much simpler then an almighty creator of the universe inspiring them.

  • @nanotech901 The bible may speak upon hygiene, but it says nothing of germs. They (I'm assuming you mean priests, but we could also include the more astute of the time) could have figured out by observing a correlation between hygiene and health. It's not really that far fetched to assume that people could have figured it out through simple observation, is it? We only just learned about germs recently, because our technology only recently advance to a point where we could observe germs.

  • @nanotech901 My friend, while watching videos such as this may benefit you, I think understanding our history would be of more value to you. Not having the capacity to view microscopic cells doesn't indicate a complete lack of understanding of very basic life saving practices (such as good hygiene). There are many things the bible claims, none of which are extra-ordinary for what we *know* the people of the day understood. History is fun. : )

  • hello my friend may i help you correct some thing proving the bible is real. first of all if the people who wrote the bible were themselfs yet how did they know the world was round and that it was being sustain by nothing. People used to belive the world was squared and it was being sustain by a man and a turtle yet christopher columbus proved them wrong on 1600s-1700s and yet the bible is about 3-4 thousand years old gonna continue on next comment

  • @nanotech901 The world isn't being sustained by nothing. It has it's own gravitational force, just as any other planet would, and it remains where it is in relation the gravitational forces around it. It's never been sustained (I think you mean 'suspended') by nothing. My understanding of physics is pretty limited, though, so that's as far as my comment can go. The Bible is absolutely not 3-4 thousand years old, and I shouldn't have to explain why.

  • So several people had iether of these above problems simaltainusely problem? Yes his leg did grow.

I will be open to your information though and if you can give me irafuteable evidance that God does not exist I will no longer beleive. Oh and what do I have to gain by lying to you?

    Good luck?

  • @89Eaglesons the responsibilty is NOT on us to disprove god to you, it is entirley on yourself to PROVE his existence to us. If you cant see why this is so, then maybe think about going back to school mmkay.

  • @philxcorexinxurxface it is not about knowingf for 100% sure that God exists because that is not possible, but when thier so many factors and things that show that life cant simple just start on its own its when your eyes open to the possibility some thing greator is out thier, and as far as the big bang theory its less believe able then the possiblility of God so I believe in God. Scientists learn ealy on in thier education matter cant be created it only changes with the elements it holds.

  • @philxcorexinxurxface when they study even further they start saying thier was no matter at the start of the universe then nothing compressed into something and exploded creating more..

  • @89Eaglesons -.- what did that have to do with what i said to you?? -.-

  • @philxcorexinxurxface what i said did not fit in 1 message due to word limmit if you read them both.

  • Comment removed

  • I clicked on this thinking it was a religious rant and my first thought was why does it have so many likes...

  • please explain how I did see some ones leg grow 3 inches so they would be the same length before my very eyes?

  • @89Eaglesons

    1. Your visual receptors were aimed towards somebody's leg which then proceeded to grow three inches spontaneously without an aim or a cause.

    2. You were hallucinating and you beleive that you saw somebody's leg grow three inches when in fact you were tired/stressed and your eyes were tired causing you to have blurred vision and get confused as to what you saw.

    3. You didn't and you are lying.

    Which one was right?

  • We can't know there is no god - hm. It depends on the definition. The god that is all powerful, all knowledgeable, can do all things, is logically inconsistent, and so can not exist. I like the older definitions of gods, the small ones that lived in rivers and lakes and such. Mythology of course, but a much more appealing one. Anyway, rivers flow because they are rivers, the world exists because that's what it does.

  • Brilliant video! Favved.

  • The funniest "argument" for "God's" existence I hear is: But if he doesn't exist, then this or that criminal won't go to Hell! Hehe, yeah..the universe was created by an invisible man so that christtards could get revenge... Hihi, they're so primitive and retarded it's mind-boggling!! : )

  • Its always good to see avideo own religion and religions subhuman religitards.

  • i get hope strength when i sex with a beautiful girl hahahahaha

  • whoever made tht video just fuck the hole of ur arse urself cunt what u r showing

    hahaha joker

  • 1. So yo believe women should be nothing and no rights since the bible is world of men.

  • well its good to belive then to not belive

  • What's the name of the song?

  • @Diomedsspear Chemical Brothers "Believe"

  • @donnybgood Oh it's right there. *slaps face* thanks anyways :-)

  • I wish Chistians would stop telling everyone they're right and science is wrong =[ I believe in god AND evolution..but not the bible stories -_-

  • @Emlis16 So does that make you a deist then?

  • @talover403 I don't even know what that means. Yeah that makes me look like an idiot, but still..Chistians should just chill

  • @aikidocrazy IDIOT!!! "You cannot assert that one group of people can only read a book in a purely subjective way". I don't assert that! First reason why you're an idiot!

"at the same time, hold to the objectivity of meaning everywhere else". Only an absolutely pathetic, ignorant, unintelligent, troubled, moron would state that this video is promoting objectivism! That's the second reason for you idiocy!!! Everyone but YOU see's the obvious promotion of doubt and fallibility!! IDIOT!!!

  • @aikidocrazy "Now you are finding something that's clearly not there gimp-boy". Your comments are littered with homosexual and subversive sexual references, this is often symptomatic of sexual confusion and/or sexual ambiguity. You also see benign statements as being sexually charged. John Wayne Gacy Jr had similar problems to you.

"Things can be interpreted incorrectly you know." vs. 2:40 in your video. Explain the contradiction please?! I bet you can't! Posit your view.

  • @aikidocrazy You've got an incredulous amount of information there, based on a short text video about religion.

Do you know what projection is? :D Research it, it's fascinating. Tell me about your parents, and your feelings of acceptance, I think that's the issue here isn't it? Have you got a good relationship with them? Please treat these questions RHETORICALLY, I ABSOLUTELY don't care about anything to do with you or your personal life. I wish this was reciprocal.

  • @aikidocrazy You're disturbing! Do you see everything as a homosexual proposition? Sigmund Freud will interest you, and I'm sure you'd interest him.

  • @aikidocrazy "Lots of gimp-smiling faces". Why is there always a homo-erotic edge to your messages. Quite disturbing!

"See you didn't even get the point about interpretation did you"? 1) You haven't presented a case, that is an indictment on you, not anybody else. I'm still waiting. What is your view, state it! Easy 2) For the last time the person you responded to acknowledged his misinterpretation. Things can be interpreted incorrectly you know. You prove this abundantly!

  • @aikidocrazy "Now you cannot even understand the point I'm making". When I called you an idiot that is because i fully understood the idiocy of your comment, and your behaviour. You still don't even know what your initial comment was responding to do you?

  • @aikidocrazy "bitching on about how you don't like being misrepresented you demonstrate that you don't actually hold to the subjectivity of interpretation". :D Why don't I hold to "the subjectivity of interpretation"? Are you still referring to the person that asked me to clarify my position? What should I have done to fit into your patheticly ignorant notion? Not a rhetorical question. Did I mention that you're an idiot!!

  • @aikidocrazy "you know not of what you speak"??? :D Nice try. Ohh the irony. It's true to say that I know not what YOU speak of. :D

"You claimed, in your video, that interpretation was intrinsically personal and subjective". When did I claim that? Quotes please.

"there's no point in you claiming there is an objective reading of it". What? If somebody asks me to clarify my opinion, I do so. State why I shouldn't?

"Will you not allow for that"? When have I acted/done/argued opposite?

  • @aikidocrazy He was not providing an opinion, he was asking me to clarify my opinion! Which I did, and which he acknoledged his misinterpretation. Only an idiot would watch this video and deduce that its stating that things can NEITHER be correct or incorrect. TICK! It's embarrassing how little you understand. TICK!!!!!

"I am fully justified in my interpretation". Yes, you are fully justified in perpetuating your idiocy and disparate stance with intelligence. I've not "doubt" you'll continue!

  • @aikidocrazy 1) Demonstrable! As you'll prove with your subsequent comments. 2) See there you go, you're demonstrably an idiot! To further solidify this conclusion, can you outline the discussion I was having with DrOman, are you able to do that? Do you even know what was being discussed? You have, without remotely understanding what you are talking about, nor indeed what you are responding to, made comments that you cannot substantiate. Erroneous is giving them undue respect!

  • this is a bit discouraging dont you think? A bit, true as well.

YEah, i noe, I watched this anyway, but I'm still going to believe in what I believe. Everyone has their rights to put anything they want on youtube. It's the viewer's opinion if they are going to be offended or not!! Right? OH whatever

  • @awesomehots34 Discouraging from what? The ability for people to be certain about things that they can't be certain about? TICK. The ability for people to tell other people that they are DEFINITELY wrong simply because they believe something different? TICK And that this certainty will never change so that there is no need to question themselves? TICK

You can believe anything you want, but its wise to consider that you could be wrong, PARTICULARLY about unproven, untestable things.

  • @aikidocrazy :D 1) You're an idiot! 2) He was asking me to clarify MY opinion. Are you suggesting that somebody elses interpretation of my opinion is more accurate than my own explanation? Justify that! 3) If you followed the discussion to its conclusion, you would have found that he acknowledged his misinterpretation. 4) What part of the discussion or video do you believe is inaccurate. Be specific. I'm getting ready to absolutely bury you! Good luck. :D

  • Mostly fair video, however at 3:10 you implicitly state that all things can be explained rationally, and then through the rest of the video you hold that we should be in a constant state of uncertainty as to our knowledge, if that's true, why would belief in miracles be unjustified given that science and rationality cannot explain everything? I disagree with the end of the video. I believe that the holocaust is bad, and that I cannot be wrong on this point. Does that make it less robust?

  • @DrOman5596 Thank you.

"you implicitly state that all things can be explained rationally". Nice try :D No I didn't. However you have touched on an exceptionally interesting discussion point, if you'd like to continue it, please do so from a position that is accurate of my views. I admire your audacity though, particularly for your use of the word "implicitly" :D

  • @Dom0nePhilosophy I don't think it's an audacious interpretation, though I should have explained it. The statement at 3:10 seems to conclude that belief in miracles is unjustified because the fact that the believer has no rational explanation for an event doesn't mean that one can't be found, if I'm mistaken please clarify.

  • @DrOman5596 See, I knew full well you had the ability to express your opinion more accurately (I'm sure you don't need me to explain why). Its a massive improvement, but still not accurate. Preface it with "I believe", and get rid of the word "unjustified" and we're close. Accepting this, do you still believe its at odds with the message of the video?

  • @Dom0nePhilosophy I'm not sure what your instructions ("preface it...") mean, are you saying that as individuals we aren't capable of determining whether or not a rational explanation of a so called miracle exists in the absence of a rational explanation?

  • @DrOman5596 No. I believe that for somebody to have witnessed something that they are unable to explain "naturally", and to immediately deduce therefore that it necessarily needs to be supernatural, is an error. And by "error" I mean that I believe this path is not giving the person the best chance of understanding the scenario accurately (based on many, many, many reasons which I'm sure we don't need to discuss).

  • @Dom0nePhilosophy That makes sense, before someone can conclude that an event is necessarily supernatural they have to have good reasons for thinking that it was in fact supernatural. Thanks for the clarification : )

  • keep the good work up

  • Excellent, as always.

  • This video made me ejaculate all over my monitor and keyboard

  • Most excellent video!

I like the idea that the first version had an error - its actually very fitting!

I agree with Hitchens that Irony is one of the things that make life worth living.

  • @richo61 All completely deliberate ;D I quite like it as well, it adds an extra dimension of thought and context. Thank you very much!!!!

  • Epic. I will be sharing this with many. Insightfully compiled...compassionately delivered....and above all honest (it shows). Oh....I think the commas were perfect. Poo medallion for perhaps lame for that inconsequential and moronic critique.

  • awsome video man

  • I know I'm nitpicking here, and this is fairly off topic: would it KILL you to use oxford commas? Even if they're not, strictly speaking, "required?" I'm sitting here applauding your style and grammar (not to mention the video's actual content), but every so often I have to stop and think to myself, "Oh, he and/or she's one of those guys and/or girls..."

  • @perhapslame I must confess, however, there has been a lot of copyediting in my recent past. So, perhaps I've become a bit neurotic about such petty minutia.

  • Ahhh! This is great.

  • uggh.....mindf*ck....still, interesting video.

  • Hey dom, i sent you a message with a link to an online slideshow version of this that I made, it allows linking directly to a certain slide (?id=34) I wanted to get your thoughts on it before I shared it with people.

  • The only way someone can say that they KNOW something exists is by having firsthand, eyewitness experience of it. Period. Endo. Finito. Curtain down. Bravo. Bouquet. Kisses to the audience. Smiles for the papparazzi. A raspberry for the critics. "Love you" sign to the groupies. Check for the agent.

  • Nothing to quibble about here, unless I want to be *really* nitpicky and point out that considering the existence of "god" even "potential" is an absurdity in the light of the fact that nobody who ever claimed to believe in such a thing has ever been able to present a coherent narrative around that supposed concept. Ask me again whether there could be a "god" if that situation ever changes.

  • It's a good job you didn't write the bible or we would have multiple revised versions Jeeez! get your act together.

  • 4:09 The bible provides answers.

    no X? Green check????

    4:13 Answers can be wrong

not in red? (has green check!)

Science is all we need to make the workd a better place

red x? Are you trying to switch at the end?

    This doesn't work well!

  • @farvision "The bible provides answers." It does. Doesn't mean they're the RIGHT answers ^^. And yes, answers can be wrong. Millions of scientific answers have been proven wrong, too.

There's more to life than science, mate... compassion is unscientific and evolutionarily harmful if you will. Letting weak, sick, small, stupid people die (or kill them) would be a scientifically beneficial asset, but it's cruel, incompassionate and lunatic. Pull your head outta your ass. You're being dogmatic!

  • @V0r4xiz Actually this can turn into a pretty philosophical debate... I'd say that too much compassion would be bad and cruelty is needed to balance things out. For example, think if the world turned for the 'better' and science started to move forward and started to provide food for all the hungry people in the 3rd world, what do you know? Suddenly, overpopulation, too much industrial waste, we are all dead. My personal opinion would be population control via less... cruel means.

  • @Razgrits Well, it's not my intention to debate over the morality of population control or whatever. I was just pointing out that science isn't "everything we need to make the world a better place" as the person I am adressing stated. It is ONE thing we need and a major one to boot, but not everything. As if religion and science were dichotomic, lol. Or as if they were the only two achievements of humanity...

  • Sweet jesus! Awesome video! ^_^

  • Yeah, i subscribed to you for that video. Interestingly, after i've noticed the mistake i thought "well, maybe he's not from an english speaking country", like me :P

Another copy of an awesome video like that can't hurt at all.

  • Very cool Dom0ne!

  • u mean to say i posted a video on my fb wall that had a fucking typo! you have made me look so stupid! i want blood my man

  • @marcarmstrong88 :D I will be offering a refund for any inconvenience...or loss of facebook credibility. Peace

  • Damn human fallibility!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

  • Don't you just HATE it when that happens? I don't think there's one video of mine where I haven't spotted at least one thing wrong after I uploaded it.

  • @TheLivingDinosaur :D DEFINITELY!!!! Its genuinely the one thing I hate about uploading videos...the suspense to find out what mistakes I've made, and the incredulity to understand how I didn't spot them throughout the hours and hours of editing and checking....but effortlessly spot them once uploaded.

Normally I just leave them, but on this one it was a really easy fix.

  • @Dom0nePhilosophy Maybe it's the change of perspective - you treat it now as a viewer. So trick may be to pretend you are the viewer. Alternatively, wait until the next day (and pretend you are the viewer). Alternatively, have someone else preview it for you ... (both of which take time of course!)

  • @TheLivingDinosaur The eagerness to post after a long time of work makes one blind to the obvious errors.

I always let my wife watch the vid, and even then some stuff will be missed..

  • thank goodness u didnt delete the other one, i put it on my new website lol

  • @gphhawkins :D No probs...and thank you very much for spreading word. Exceptionally appreciated!!!!!!

  • I'm confused to the 2nd and 3rd to the last entries.
