Communist sympathizers fail to see that Capitalism is the only system that offers the possibility of coming close to the goals that you seek, because it is the only one that requires political freedom. Economic & political liberty are inseperable. If you take away 1 you lose the other. What we really need is a return to Principled Capitalism. But, I believe that this will only occur if a large portion of Americans are transformed from within by God. So this has been my prayer for 30 years.

But, the only alternative to the free market (though with some government regulation) & political freedom is a government takeover of the market & the elimination of political freedom. Churchill was right: an all-controlling Socialist state can tolerate no dissent because it will automatically be treasonous.

Our businesses create the jobs that are ultimately the answer to our financial problems. 70% of Oakland businesses have less then five employees. We have very few enterprise businesses left in Oakland. PROTECT OUR SMALL BUSINESSES.
