Hey I'm a little late with this, but there is something TV made me believe in when I was young: movies and series produced in the US usually use different resolution filters (I'm from EU) and made me think that if I was overseas everything would look that smooth!

But then I grew up and found out that there is no difference besides two things: US-movies are still great and EU politics of education, welfare and foreign affairs are performed professionally.
