  • rgb passes is cool tech .. .it gives full control .

  • what software is this that you use to create the characters and the scenes because i dont think its multipass and ive tried everything please please tell me the software so i can get a copy thanks

  • what software is this that you use

  • I am wanting to enter the 3d world and learn how to make clips like this one. Wondering what program you use. I use only PC programs so if you have any in sties please do. Thanks and great work.

  • Do you need to be able to draw to animate?

  • I know little to nothing about compositing, but how did you seperate the RGB channels of the smoke to adjust each accordingly? It looks like a really neat trick to master. =)

  • 1:00 You used the IBK ?

  • Yes, I'm sure of it now. That pigeon was working for Al Queida lol

  • the Smoke is really great, but how was it made? blender seems illogical because of it's poor particle usage, fumefx is way to expensive for an effect briefly used... multiple planes with alpha takes absurdly long times to render...

  • The smoke is just standard XSI particles which are notoriously horrible to work with. However, Softimage has revamped their particle system for version 7 which comes out in the next month or two. This was made with about 100,000 particles. The trick is to have each particle spawn another 1 or 2 particles at each frame to give it that "ballooning" outwards feel.

  • Another great one, cool.

  • Hi! I'm a Blender artist and I'm really interested in this kind of mates.

    I have one question:

The smoke is rendered with 3 diferent lights, but they seem to need to be in diferent positions right? Is there a rule for positioning the lights?

Once again thanks allot for the podcasts, they're amasing ;)

  • Yep that's exactly right. The only rule is whatever works for the scene, but these were done with standard 3 point lighting (Key, Fill, and a kicker.)

  • Thanks! I'm gonna try it now.

  • This is great. Looking forward to the next one.

    Thanks

  • once again, thank you :)
