This show taught me some decent morals as a kid. Even though Static would be what most of society considers today as "one of those kids who will turn out bad", he used his powers to help others who were in danger and need. That, and the fact that it was gutsy enough to touch upon the topic of race, which most shows don't in fear of being banned.

Well, Cole and Static have their differences and similarities:

1) Cole gets around using parkour & climbing. Static just flies on a disc using electromagnetism.

2) Water is dangerous to Cole. It only shorts out Static.

3) Cole's not into masks. Static has a secret identity.

4) They have electricity powers, & friends who know about it.

5) Both their series have a level of realism.

I like the beginning, then it gets too meh for me, then goes back to the kick-ass beat. Good altogether.

However, it is much better than the "Superhero, Static Shock. Whoop whoop" thing that Lil' Romeo did.

@Urhoboman5 I always stand up for my opinions. Just the intro says quite a lot. Fire superpowers, Elastic superpowers, these 2 powers are pretty much clichés at this point and uninventive. A guy trying to hide his true super hero identity while still going to school *cough* spiderman *cough*. Also, Static Shock ridicules all his enemies during the intro, which tells you that the serie is more oriented toward making him look "cool" rather than have an actual developped storyline.

Yet, it was an African American superhero (who wasn't a nerd, if I remember correctly, like Spiderman was), and his sidekick came later in the series, who was his best friend (Richie, I think), who was the super-smart one.

Yes, there's unoriginality, but at the same time, you can't make a superhero show without having SOME form of it being unoriginal. There's only so much you can do before it's 'unoriginal.'

That's my though on superhero shows as a whole.
