i have been thinking this for a long time now, its so true dance clubs are overrated, you always have people bragging about there weekends and how cos were young you have to go to clubs and party, i rather party at home with my gf and close friends were drinks are in abundance and dont cost a fortune were no one has a big ego.BUT mainly because i dont want to see the bored faces of people with faces that seem to ask is this cool? and then on Monday they brag about how much fun they had NOT!!
Funny how everyone on youtube is referring to the dance club as a "night club". I'm interested when this began. I believe that if we are going to make it out of the stupidity that is our society and social mentality as a whole, the "night club" will finally be transformed back into a dance club. And dancing will be cool because it will be understand for what it actually is - the period of time you stop acting according to your fucked up mentality you call your normal waking reality.
I just went to a club after 2.5 years. I thought about the hump many times that night and I thank Hicks for that. Certainly got a chuckle. Luckily, there was a good seating area outside where the music was not deafening and I could fuckin smoke and enjoy my drinks which apparently were hand brewed by the finest virgin angels...at least that's what my bank statement told me the next day.

If the music is cool then the dancing can be cool. I heard in Germany they dance to "Smoke On the Water," which is funny. James Brown dancing to funk that's not gay, that's hip. Gene Kelly dancing in 'Singin' in the Rain' that was masculine at the time. It just dawned on me how so many people like Bill Hicks and his lame comedy -- people who like him are probably more lame than he and have horrible, miserable, joyless lives (and think this somehow makes them cooler than other people - it's twisted logic, but it's all they have.)

Bill is 100% right about danceclubs actually. the music sucks, it's loud as hell, wayyy to expensive, dumb bitches, dumb dudes. And if you observe in a danceclub(i'm from Belgium) you can see lots of people texting with their cellphones. No action. The bouncers suck dick also. this generation is good for laughs though...
