  • I have just bought a pair of the KAM,s KHD410 last week and have tested mine with no issues so far :-) ...beats the hell out of taking loads of CDs if your Djing .

  • hi just bought one of these today , and your right does not read my mp3 files have you had any luck ? Ian

  • @soundpromo convert to FAT32

  • Now i also have two of these but it will only allow up to 999 folders and 999 songs etc..... I have also noticed that these like to freeze from time to time. Have you noticed this?

  • As KAM saw this video, they upgraded the firmware, its being tested and they will send me it asap. The 999 folders means only 1 deep, as in 1 in the partition, and not Partition/999/999/etc, which I do find odd.... I've just under 100gig of music, and without the ability to search on these, without structure, it's a nightmare

  • @Pedster did the firmware come in the end?

  • @BelgianJungleSound nope.... They #fail ... Not buying anything Kam again! Shoddy service!

  • Do you really need partitions?

Wouldn't it work better as one HDD?

  • You're forgetting FAT32 only allows 32GB partitions

  • I'm new to all this

  • In the end. The KHD's work with FAT32 (just tried), but the thing is, FAT32 only allows 32GB partitions, which going by my calculations, my 500GB's will need 15 partitions, which the KHD only allows 9! So that's 6 partitions which is about 195gb wasted. But, if this is the case, they are still in the wrong, by false advertising, saying it supports NTFS and up to 2TB. So which is right? I only purchased these as they are all button orientated, easier for me to operate.

    I'm an unhappy customer..

  • @soundpromo Switch to FAT32

  • @Pedster think thats bad I ended up paying to buy a 1tb memory 1/2 what it said it could handle :l

  • Man I know all about how much it sucks to get new hardware that you want to work so well and then it all goes to pieces -- it happened when I recently got a Korg Zero8 mixer only to discover no driver support from Korg. So at least you've got KAM on your side helping you -- that is a good start!

My first question with the Seagates -- since I have a WD that is like this -- do they use encryption? I might think that could maybve prevent the KHD410 from seeing the toons. Good luck!

  • Sorry I would love to help but i dont have a clue....hope you get this problem fixed

    DJ LilRich

  • im not sure if i fully understand the problem, but if you have a big library with lots of songs, it could take a long time to scan. When i had a dennon mp3 player it took 30 minutes to scan and read a memory stick with about 100 songs on it.

  • my flash drives has 118 mp3's each, n it read them instantly...... so yeah, even if i put only 15 tracks on the drives' root dir, still wont work.

  • what did kam say when you contacted them?

  • They are still investigating the issue with me
