litter robots are the best.. i have 5 cats and i'm a clean person to begin with .. of course.. like with anything else.. if you don't clean the litter pan for a while its gonna smell after a while.. thats just common sense... with one cat.. i can't see you needing ti change it more than once a week.. definately worth every penny... my house never smells... and i like that you can use ANY litter u want.. of course clumping litter works best.. unlike the other litter boxes

This is worth every dollar spent. I have one and don't regret my purchase. I have 3 cats and my 2 smaller ones use it without hesitation. The 16 pound girl won't even think of venturing, but that's okay because she has her own box, now. Love this machine!

The initial cost is kind of frightening but when you think about the time and effort that it saves you it's worth it. I have had mine for 2 years so and it still works great. Check out the video I have of me cleaning it.

I bought my first Litter-Robot back in 2001 and it lasted about 5 years. I now have a new one I bought in early 2007. Only problem I had is the control panel failed because some urine got on it and corroded the switches. Customer service was great and sent me a brand new control panel for free! I took it upon myself to relocate the new control panel just to the right of the step so this keeps it away from any waste. So far, it continues to work better than ever!

They sell the control panel as a replacement part now. Also for the newer Litter-Robot 2 there is a lip extender that prevents problems.

I have wanted one of these since I first saw one that my friend has. She had 3 cats in her apartment, but you couldn't smell them upon entering the front door. That's an accomplishment!

Here's what I have to say - the litter-robot customer service people have been NOTHING but as friendly and nice as can be. That lightning strike? WELL outside the warranty period, but sent to me along with the teflon bearings for FREE. Free, three years after I bought it. And plumbing requirements? What the??? Who are you?

Do you like the Litter robot? I'm considering getting it for my cats. I don't care about noise....but I just have tried all auto litterboxes and none of them work that well. I've been debating about the litter robot for awhile now.

Yes, I purchased a new one right before I made this video. It is even BETTER than the original for me. The current one you can purchase (Generation II at this comment time) is quieter (But still quite audible) and is much more refined, minimal mess and will hold a weeks worth of two BIG cats scat. One a week, change the bag, and even THAT part got better. Don't wait, don't think, just BUY one of these, they'll give you your money back, for heck's sake.
