I remember watching this advert on the Lion king vhs. They always had these sort of adverts about either disney land or a disney movie. And i clearly rember how this scared the shit out of me and also fascinated me at the same time. I think I was like 5 or 6 at the time watching it. :-)

Ah man! I remember that advert! I love it so much. I only went to the Space Mountain in Tokyo Disneyland. Both of my sisters went to that ride in Disneyland Paris. My elder sister loved it, but my other sister didn't like it. Now I really like to go to Paris Space Mountain.

I remember seeing this trailer on the VHS videos of Pocahontas and The Lion King, plus I`ve been on the Space Mountain ride in Paris, it was really great.

@MrDanielNewton Haha, my thoughts exactly. I got the Lion King on video for a birthday when I was about five (1994) and I remember being more interested in this ad. It really is an awesome ride too. Went to Disneyland on a school trip in 2004 and spent about 90% of the day on it.

@Lexxxicide Well that`s great, I went to Disneyland twice, first in 2005 on a school trip, then in 2006 with my family. We went on a number of rides and since Space Mountain was the best ride we decided to save it until last.

I remember seeing this ad on a re-release of The Lion King VHS when that came out. At the time i was 5, now i'm 19. And to this day, i still remember the ad clear as day. I think it's the audio that does it.

This was always the last ad before the movie started on all the amazing old disney VHS cassettes :D When i was small i didn't even know it was for a ride, but i still thought it was awesome. Disney's efforts to advertise disney paris were kinda wasted on me! ^^

Yea I do know as I've rode it but the paris one has so much more to it, more of a proper rollercoaster.

The track is to rough on the orlando one, still a pretty good ride though.

As I recall, Space Mountain is in refurbishment, and I know this because I had a vacation a week ago and we saw the refurbishment walls around the entrance.

They are replacing the track with higher gauge steel, may be getting onride audio, and may be getting new rockets.

Disney World Space Mountain is more of a real roller coaster because it uses a chain lift like almost every other coaster in the world, instead having a launch

Yea I saw its in refurbishment for most of this year...to be honest I think i'm only saying space mountain at paris is the best as it was my first disney vacation, they are both great rides.

I'm going back to wdw next year and can't wait : )

I like the one at D-World better because it doesn't have to be big and fast and loopy to be good, I think that the one is Paris has a big "ego" when it really isn't the best. They are all built by Disney so not one is better than the other, people like and dislike

Yes, Tower of Terror is the most extreme thrill that Disney has ever built, like making a elevator that moves forwards and backwards is awesome! I also think that the Disney World one is better than the California and Paris one because it has the actual tower from the movie, and it moves forwards and backwards :D
