It saddens me to see Martel look so old and grandfatherly here. Back in 1989-1990, he was the best thing going in the WWE, as far as physique and mat skills were concerned. What a sad fall from grace. The Model is still awesome though, then, now and forever.

All respect to most of these old guys... but most of them do not have the physiques to pull it off. Superfly looks like he can barely stand and Slaughter has arms and legs the size of toothpicks. I mean, everyone knows this is fake, but now it really, really looks it too.

Jimmy Snuka was in great shape when he was in his 40's. There are a number of people in good shape in their 60's. Sadly, Jimmy Snuka is not one of them. I'm saying this as someone who was a fan of Jimmy Snuka. Still am.

Serioulsy, will all due respect to those two men (Austin and Cena) the only reason why they are so popular are because they were given good gimmicks and they are good on the mic. The main reasons why they are so popular, and they always sell a lot of merchandise. I admit I still watch WWF/WWE, but it is not the same. Those are my two cents. So just remember that. Austin wasn't really given his gimmick, he made it himself. He was suppose to be a bad guy, but people started cheering for him.

Vince McMahon (Vinnie Mac, not his dad) went the approach away from old-school, and concentrated on the entertainment.
