  • watched this vidoe a few times to see if i missed it,

but you never said what was already in the bowl when you added the tomato puree ?

  • they look like tutti ;) i deep fry my bhajis lol

  • seems she wanted to give some indian touch to it...what ever.. liked the healthy way of bhaji's..thank u

  • Tried these last week for my friends- they're amazing and it is a lot less fuss than deep fat frying. Would recommend these to anyone!

  • thx for the recipe will be trying it out today :)

  • Music is nice but it sounds like it keeps skipping!

  • Some of you ppl need to learn how to cook. Simply aiding oil etc to oven cooked items doesn't automatically make it classed as fried. Take for example roast potatoes or yorkshire pudding you will eat the duck fat (or lard) in the oven then roast the potatoes yet they would never be classed as fried potatoes

  • yummy great recipe thanks.

ps what is the music i really like it.

  • Can you freeze them?

  • Have you really not got anything better to do?

  • I have made these twice now, very yummy...thankyou :)

  • i prefer baking than frying cos its so much healthier. never tried baked onion bhajiya's though so im looking forward to trying it. thanks for your recipe.

  • Excellent! Couldn't find chickpea flour, used CORN FLOUR instead. Worked fine!

  • Is this the same recipe they have on Desi Chef app?

  • Never heard such weird music in my life.

  • Thought you were going to feed them to the dog when I saw that metal dish.

  • baking is better for health than frying. thanks for vid

  • @honeythief98 Yeah. We know. But EVERYTHING tastes better fried. Compare: Fries vs plain baked potatoes.

  • @lethe56 that's because you never tried my fake "chips/fries" which I do in the oven. They taste much better than fried chips:)

  • @WinterDruidess D'you use any oil or butter?

  • @lethe56 I the potatoes into chips, boil them for about 5min just to get tender, then season it with paprika, garlic powder, salt, (herbs like parsley and chives go well with it as well if you like) 2/3 table spoons of olive oil. Mix it well and in the oven they go until crispy:)

  • @WinterDruidess There! Olive oil, they're fried. You just proved my point. ;-) But thanks for that recipe though!

  • @lethe56 lol with 3 spoons of olive oil can't really be considered fried! U usually have to put some fat in the tray so food won't stick when it goes to the oven. its called baking not fried. U even do it with cakes...

    But you welcome:)

  • @WinterDruidess 3 spoons of olive oil is PLENTY to be considered fried.

Haven't you seen those new friers that only use about one cup of oil to make french fries?

  • @lethe56 well I didn't use one of those friers did I?

  • @WinterDruidess the point is you turned your oven into one.

Cooking in oil, no matter how much, is frying.

  • Thanks for sharing.

Makes x4 large & delicious bhaji's without deep frying but don't forget the ~unmentioned~ gram flour.

  • @waverley610 the chickpea flour is gram flour.

  • YUM!!

  • This style is ideal for people like me with allergies to fat which is what you get when you deep fry them.

  • I look forward to trying this recipe. I normally deep fry them, but for small quantities, this is a really good idea.

  • that looks a more healthier way to cook them!! thx i love onion bhajis what a great idea!!

  • good vid, but the music freaked me out lol...
