i bought my trek 4300 about two years ago and on my way home from work the odometer turned over to 1000 miles i love my trek and cant wait to take it into the navy with me. trek forever
im afraid to get a trek because i ride around town all the time. A BMX bike get \s irritating to ride but having my bike say TREK on it makes it seem like a great bike. Over the summer... over 30 bikes have been stolen. My friend was one of them so idk.
@gavbag1234 nah, God is real to me. Bikes cant do anything except take me places plus u gotta take care of it. God can do anything for me and he takes care of me. I'd rather believe in a bike. Much easier and better benefits!
@gavbag1234 LOOOOOOOL that made me smile dude. but i believe in God cuz hes actually done something to me, if he was a BS unicorn that i just believe in cuz people tell me to or to act religious, i wouldnt i believe cuz its actually changed me and God helps me
The purple unicorn works in mysterious ways, my friend!
Oh the unicorn is there, even when he does nothing, that's just because he likes to pretend he's not there from time to time. Everytime something goes right though, that's not just luck, it's proof that he's there.
Let me ask ya something, what about the shitty things that happen to you, are they god too?
@gavbag1234 HAHHAHAHAHA lol that was funnny lol it works in mysterious ways LOL. but whe nshitty things happen to me i say " All thing works together for good to them who love God" everything seriously works out for the better for me Or else id be jsutl ike u saying its stupid. theres nothing to argue with u. i believe it cuz i know its true and its done good in my life like sooooo much so i believe in God. you can make fun of me idc? i just believe whats been helping me and will help me.
I'm just having some fun with ya man. It's amusing to me, it's called specious reasoning. What it means is that you make a link between two things just because they're there at the same time. Kinda like if I say "hey this couch I'm sitting on NEVER has any tigers on it, therefore my couch is coated in tiger repellant!" .... Maybe it's just a couch.
The funny this is that as mad as my tiger idea is, at least if I saw a tiger on my couch I'd have to admit I was wrong.
Yep, and that leaves us with 1 question, what do you know?
You shouldn't be afraid, because the feeling you have is of this world. You ARE feeling how you feel right now. I am not telling you anything about your life is different. What I'm telling you is that maybe sometimes things go wrong and sometimes things go right, and it is YOUR power to change your life, YOU are the one looking after you, and you should be proud of yourself.
Just like I NEED tiger repellant!! Just pretend for a second that that power is from you, because people have lots of different names for that help. Muslims get it, Hindus, Jews and even atheists, so it's kinda strange that they all "know" it comes from the god they were raised believing in.
Next of all, this began because you posted publically "I believe in god". I don't see how my saying the opposite is any more "pushing" something on you than you were to start with.
@gavbag1234 i was raised to be a buddhist and i chose to be a christian because its actually doing something for me. now let me go look for my tiger repellant....i forgot where i put it
Haha, you certainly weren't raised to be rational, my friend. I wish you all the happiness in the world, and assure you I would only ever share my thoughts with you in the interest of offering you a better, more realistic outlook.
You seem to be a lovely person though, super outgoing and nice about these things, I just wish you the best of luck in the future. Or as you would say, god bless! :D
I fricken love you guys, I'd give ANYTHING for a Trek road bike or even a road bike at all at this point! I just finished a 101 mile trip on a mountain bike just training for racing for when I can actually afford a road bike by myself and I'm just praying I get a Trek!
i have had trek bikes through all my life, also had 1 Giant and 1 Specialized and i find them to be the gratest invention however Trek is crafted to perfection, thanks Trek for producing such grate product.
I have 3 Treks on the go now..1992 Fuel 90,and 2 2009 Trek 4500s.they are fantastic bikes...I ride 6-7 days a week in Canada and Costa Rica all year long and they serve me well..
I have a Trek road bike I bought at Now Sports in Minneapolis about 15 years ago. I bought it becuase it was so light and the frame was large enough to fit me correctly. Aside from putting air in the tires, I have never had any problems with it. Best investment of $350 I have ever made. Saw a new Trek at thebike shop in Maple Grove yesterday. $6,800 and I would not trade mine for it if they offered.
@nielsencl2 i spent around 300$ on a trek mountain bike in florida, 1995, the steel rusted and frame broke on me just riding around... still well worth it, lasted over 12 years... but i won't get steel again! --- really anything over a few 1000$ and you are just paying for something lighter and even weaker... to pay for such high level performance is folly unless you race... i ride bikes until the frame is done...
well.they are all over priced..its just how good you can haggle or surf....still i love my FUEL EX. every person has different taste and likes...it just so happen that its the TREK FUEL EX THAT SUITS ME WELL...AND SO SORRY BIKERJAKE74 IF YOU CANT AFFORD IT..
I bought a trek 1.1 5 months ago and I am seriously terified everytime I ride it because the quality is very disappointing. Something breaks about every month and I don't ride hard at all! Just casual exercise or jaunt across town. Seriously my rear der snapped for no reason It was under very light load and the METAL body part snapped, NOT a joint! that in turn screwed my shifters and now I am stuck with about 4 gears and I have taken it in for tune ups and repairs numerous times. BAD

Trek bikes are sh1te. I bought that trek soho belt bike for $1200 and it's squeaks and clicks and is more noisy than my friends pre-WWII bike. Not to mention that the frame is very uncomfortable - I get NECK PAINS from the frame. I will never buy a Trek again.
@kotapaka Sounds like your bike might be due for a tune-up. It's common for cables to stretch and to retention the belt. Your friend has the advantage of a well broken-in bike. Also check with your local retailer on different stem and handlebar options. They'll help you get a proper fit to alleviate any pain.
@kotapaka, if a bike fails to please, ask bike buddies for a fix. You'll get help from Trek owners, always. I ride a Trek, a cruiser these days, to avoid neck pain. See my Lime run through the rain? Since 1983 or so, I've been a booster for this best of brands.
Once a cyclist, Always a cyclist.. no matter the age, heath status. In cycling, there is no race, problems. just you two wheels and your mates doing what you love
This is so much better than the absurd Tom Boonen Specialized commercial where he points out how he is "Specialized" because every pedal stroke propels him forward.
TREK has their bikes made by Kinesis in Taiwan. And Giant makes frames for other companies also. Hell Rocky Mountain has some of their frames made in Taiwan. I just hate TREKs. Trendy.
@Trickme10 hey dont get me wrong giant are good bikes! :) i have a giant too! but people are hating on trek... dont watch the commercial if they dont like the bikes!
I looked at the Marin website and their hardtails look about in the same price range as a comparable Trek.
Looks the to be the same situation with the Street bikes. The Trek Calypso is comparable to the Metro series from Marin and the Calyspo is $410 vs $430 for the cheapest "Bridgway". The geometry of the Trek Pure seems to be better than both and it costs $440.
What do mean Trek is "overpriced"? Again, I ask, compared to what?
I don't know about Marin but I know Treks are made in USA.
Just because Trek's factories are there it does not mean all of their bikes are built there. Of what bikes they do build at their U.S. factories it's not a bike under $3000.00. Only their top end frames are built there. Giant bikes? Build frames for a bunch of other companies. I have been working in bike shops for over 15 yrs.
Seriously??? Look Giant makes frames for a bunch of companies. Hell Fuji does it also. Go into a Trek dealer and look around and you will see Made in China or Taiwan on the frames. How many years have you worked in a bike shop?
Ok Kid listen. How many years do you have of work in a bike shop? I'm done arguing. But like I stated companies build frames for others. Look at the 820s, 1200s etc. Then if you still have a hard on for this brand go get a job at a shop that sells them. Oh did you know that the bike Lance won his first time trial on at the tour was not a Trek but a Lightspeed with Treks name on it?
Trek Model 6500 Aluminum, I think it's a 22 inch. Would be large for me if I was using it as a Mtn. Bike but I geared it for the road, wrap around scott bars, slick tires, front and rear racks. Two water bottle mounts. It's like a giant cadillac. Had our rims trued up 3 times, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana. Triple "M" states. I have not really ridden since. Cannot even remember riding a bike since Graduating from Univ of Fl. Used to ride about 12 miles a day to and from the Univ.
In Nineteen Hundred and Ninty Five I rode a Trek Mountain bike from Gainesville, Florida to Seattle, Washington. Ok, I technically only rode to Clarkston, Washington, had a pretty serious injury to the skin of my crotch. In Western Montana, I went to sleep wet in my sleeping bag and about 3 layers of skin fell off my crotch over lolo pass crossing Cont. Divide. Had to kind of Call Clarkston my final destination. 3100 miles, 43 days, one friend on a Raleigh Mtn. Bike. And one Glock Model 23.
So at 0:25 is the cyclist a. being ignored by the car pulling across the road in front of him or b. running a red light? Or am I mistaken? And should he have lights on his bike? *grin*

Treks made in the U.S.A.? Only the very top end models. Not sure if the OCLV ones are even made here. They are built in Taiwan.

Trek states themselves that their bikes are hand made in the USA.
I doubt they are telling a flat out lie about something like that.

Giant probably makes frames for a bunch of companies. That in itself doesn't mean they are making frames for Trek.

My Trek 4400 has seen better days. Passporte du Soleil took a lot out of her. But she is still a good bike. I love Treks.

Trek is in cooperation with amreican weapon-industry!! If you buy their bikes, you support the killing of other people!
TheIncridibleOne 3 years ago
Shut the fuck up. Take your cunting elsewhere and leave and let people be stoked about bikes.

So at 0:25 is the cyclist a. being ignored by the car pulling across the road in front of him or b. running a red light? Or am I mistaken? And should he have lights on his bike? *grin*
