  • I'll agree with Mr. Rogers that America's economy is going to tank, but I don't agree that America is going the way of the dinosaur. We're going to take some lumps, but historically we pull through. We have a history of questioning authority and have laws that back us up. Singapore, China, and other Asian countries have historical caste systems in place, and questioning authority doesn't come easy to people living in such systems.

Ebb and flow, Mr. Beal. Ebb and flow.

  • Ron Paul 2012

  • America went to wars for Israel & now they pay > sorry but truth hearts

  • I live in Singapore.. and yes. There is a huge fetish for foreign talent here. An island of 3 million without any natural resources cannot survive if it does not open its doors to talented people with good ideas, and open its doors to the world. Competition here is intense, almost to a darwinistic level where the weak are subsumed... be it in schools, or in the corporate world. But such competition ensures that the country survives, and the top is rich enough to support the poor. Good choice Jim

  • This lady interviewer is a typical clueless American jackass.

  • @pretorious700 You are such a clueless asshole! She is extremely well-versed in the subject matter, and he respects her! You should shoot yourself in the face for being such a dumbass and a snob!

  • @kickyerass lol, what a noob.

  • @pretorious700 lol, what an idiot. You're a noob in self-discovery. You ain't all that you wish you were. btw, stay off my page, you ass-hat child.

  • U.S. Debt is TOO EASY to solve. Stop engaging in wars. Get rid of those hundreds of foreign bases. That'll save trillions.

  • Jim Rogers for Secretary of the Economy. Much better than Geithner and Bernanke.

  • What a great interview and the interviewer is brilliant!!!

  • Moving anywhere on this planet won't help. Seems people aren't paying attention. The same way people from " good" neighborhoods always say: " It' doesn't happened here" Yes it does. And this is happening all over the planet. This is a globalist movement. They'll crap in my back yard and yours too.

For those that are ignorant enough to turn this into a racial issue. Just wait and see how quickly you become one of them. The elite don't care about skin color. They count money and seek power!

  • @Justagameweplay The People who use Race or and Religion to segregate worth and value are plain and simple. The Answer is these People are Stupid. They cannot think past tomorrow or yesterday. Nor thier own Ego's. End result is a mind stuck in Belief & Pattern. Now i know why i dont socialize.

  • @Nevawake

I agree! They'll awaken to the realitiy of truth and fact soon though.

  • @Justagameweplay There's some truth to what you say - if the US (and China, whose econcomic policies are just as stupid and destructrive but in a different way) collapse nobody will be spared some suffering. But there are places that are guinely better to live than the United States. Switzerland, Norway, Singapore, Australia, even Canada! If Germay didn't have a common currency with the rest of Europe, I'd say Germany. They have incredibly high taxes, but they have a central bank with balls.

  • @edthehead1975

Well, being the American I am I won't say anyplace is better...lol.

    That said,

I live in the Netherlands and trust me, Germany is not where you want to be for any major financial collapse. The Netherlands has extremely high taxes but holds it's own very well. The people here have somewhat mastered financial dicipline and don't go credit happy like we do.

With the push to globalize all life sustaining and necessary items. I don't think there is an escape,

  • @edthehead1975 even Canada? Canada is one of the highest rated countries in the world and ahead of the USA in ALL categories and I mean ALL! The only thing the US can claim as number one is the ability to make war and oppress weaker nations!

  • @aztecking21122012 The only categories that mean squat to me are 1) public debt 2) external debt 3) Heritage Index of Economic Freedom 4) the degree of socialization of their medical industry. Canada's public and external debts are so-so and they have a single payer healthcare system. Australia and Singapore do not have a single payer healthcare systems. Norway and Switzerland do, but they have better debt situations.

  • @edthehead1975 What does that have to do with what I said? Typical yank with a dumbass question or answer, like all the rest of them in here in youtube land.

  • @aztecking21122012 The point is that being "one of the highest rated countries in the world" depends on what and how you are measuring. And being better than the US in ALL categories (have to agree with you there) isn't saying much.

  • @edthehead1975 Again you have no point and the WORLD sets the ratings, not me!

  • fucking christian god

  • The Federal Reserve Must End! All the politicians that voted for the bailout and the Health Care bill must be tried for treason and arrested.

  • He's getting out so he won't have to face thunderdome here in the USA

  • What Mr Rogers said end 2008

is become the thruth begin 2010....

    2012 is coming....

  • All of you judgmental foreigners commenting on the USA based upon comments from Jim Rogers. This same man says the UK is bankrupt and the Pound will cease to exist within 10 years. He says the EU and the Euro will not exist within 20 years.

    This man is no genius.

  • @Jacobrester The dollar will be dead in 2 years. See if this doesn't happen.

  • Even with President Odumba pumping new dollars into the economy at levels never before seen, the greenback will be fine. The reason is because every other G20 nation is "stimulating" their economy by printing money also. I coudl buy into the idea of a possible worldwide collapse, but the idea of just one of these currencies collapsing against the others when they are all doing the same thing is not likely.

  • The sum of all debts in the U.S. stands at $100 trillion. This includes, mortgages, all loans, state gov, local gov, federal gov, credit card debts, pensions, social security, medicare, etc. Either the U.S. will go into a very deep depression, or they will try to inflate out of it. Foreigners will bail out of the dollar, and stop buying U.S. treasury bonds. Then, the money will lose all of its value, lol.

  • It can go either way. If we go into a depression, where the Fed doesn't release the money. Then, foreigners with money will buy up America for pennies on the dollar. If the U.S. gov decides to save the U.S. economy, we will see very high inflation. Furthermore, foreigners will dump U.S. treasury bonds. Further weakening the dollar.

  • Don't forget what foreigners are doing to their own currency.....99.9% of the people on Youtube never factor in the other nations currency......ALL nations in the G20 are inflating their money supply.....there are weaker currencies than the dollar....like the Pound......and the Euro possibly

  • you are right, he is self depricating.

but he is smarter than most of us

  • @TheSophist2007 some dogs with mild brain disease are smarter than most of you.

  • True. This guy tried to create a rush on the Dollar, Pound and now Euro. The USA is in a bad way but no worse than anyone else. The USA has the ebst natural strengths. China has 1.4 billion people and an average wage of $3000 a year. No freedom and they merely make goods the USA or Europe design.

  • @warriorprince1010 Most of the comments on these USA collapse comes out of jealousy and hatred.....the large majority of the people have no idea what is happening around the globe....they focus on the USA....right now for example.....the EU is in big trouble and COULD dissolve....the american haters dont talk about that

  • I live in the UK and if Brown wins the next election I, like tens of thousands of others, will leave and probably come to the USA. The EU is stagnating they cannot grow. France, UK and Spain have the highest youth unemployment they have ever had.

  • @warriorprince1010 If it comes to that, feel free to ask me anything. Make no mistake, there are certain parts of the USA you might want to avoid. And there are certain areas that are wonderful. Let me know if you need any help.

  • Thanks. I work in TV so it would be LA, maybe NY but LA is where I will go for work. The weather is great I know that.

  • @warriorprince1010 Yeah LA is beautiful and the weather is gorgeous. Just make sure you have someone from the USA find you a place to live. Parts of LA are really bad.....and parts are incredible......hot women and hot beaches...

  • Yes I will travel and go for interviews first.

But yes LA has great weather and alot to offer.

  • @warriorprince1010 with the amount of liberals in LA, the whole people will be killed there. if you didn;t know that, it's probably a place for you. A lot of jews and the slime that comes with it in LA. That city is going to be a smoking hole.

  • Listen to the man, he speaks the truth, america is truly F*cked!

  • It's you who speaks CRAP! "socialist systems of healthcare work in Europe and Canada". FYI, Canada isn't socialist, neither is France, neither is England. You were happy to pay for drugs, good for you, many people can't. How is it that you buying drugs helped people? I get it, your proud of supporting the pharmaceutical companies.

  • Aussies ok, but whole canadian economy is dependent on exporting to the US big time, so when the buying power of the US is eroded canadians will suffer maybe not as much as americans but not far off unless they become more competitive and find other markets.

  • The U.S. has been subsidizing the pharma industries for Canada and the U.K. for years.

I'm really curious as to how well the socialist systems of healthcare work in Europe and Canada, once Americans are no longer able to afford the difference.

I was happy to pay extra for drugs, to help my English speaking peeps...I'm afraid, however, that we won't be able to do that, shortly.

We've run out of money for it.

  • English speaking? In other words not those "illegal immigrants". Have you ever been to spanish harlem? Many people there are legal citizens and don't speak english. The US is broke, Americans are wasteful and selfish, too many Americans are ignorant and your stupid.

  • You left out Australia and Canada. Would you give the keys to your house to a criminal who wanted to destroy you, well our Elected and unelected idiots did. Now the whirlwind is coming and soon we will reap the wind of war. God help us all.

  • China will start buying south american food and increasing trade. China will also exploit Africas' mineral wealth. Sooner than later China won't need the USA.

  • China ALREADY doesn't need the U.S. They haven't for years. They're RESPONSIBLE with their money.

What's with this "Sooner or later" crap?

  • "Sooner than later" (through trade) China will have enough dollars reserved to unleash inflationary hell on the USA. If they decide to dump their dollars onto world markets it will mean caos (with their current 2.5 trillion in reserves now). Perhaps their waiting for 3 or 4 or 5 trillion dollar reserves to bring on a complete American financial collapse.

  • Two blocks or two countries, what's the difference?

  • America produces food for China... this puts America in a very strong position. Mind you those damn Chinese are buying up all of South America and Africa!!

  • I was living in Texas for many years and at some point after 9-11 I was just fed up with the American government, the repressive nature of the regime, the endless wars with every new elected president, media manipulation, threats to smaller countries which cant defend themselves, job insecurity near to 0 social services, so I decided to move to Europe where at least there is a real democracy, it is not perfect buy way ahead of America.

  • She's smokin

  • I'd just like to live somewhere that does not continually get involved in wars!

  • @CelticReject

Australia would probably be the right place since it's pretty much the same.. but from what i know it's very hot over there and they have tarantulas D:

  • @itsGerbilsworld yes... but you can't learn mandarin Chinese by living in Australia. In Singapore, a second language is compulsory due to our billingual policy. So it's much easier for his daughters to pick up mandarin, since they can start learning it from 7 years old, all the way up till they are 16 where you become proficient in two languages - english, and mandarin.

Jai Shi Jie Mo Re de qi qian, wei yi nen jiu ni de dong xi, is none other than language proficiency :)

  • @TaintedFaith88 do they have mandarin courses there for adult visitors?

  • @CelticReject You can move in any country apart from US. They are the only ones who shift troops around the world without any pain for paying for it.

  • Comment removed

  • If I moved to Asia, I would choose Hong Kong. My dream place to live would be Austria or Germany.

  • Almost every place is a nice place to live. I don't like the "rat" philosophy... you know rats being the first to run off a sinking ship. People must be responsible not just for themselves but for the whole community they belong to. What would happen if all the smartest / richest / nicest Americans leave USA and go to China or Singapore? We would have the same problem we have with USA, namely CONCENTRATION of power in few centers. DISTRIBUTION, not concentration, is the solution for the world!

  • The world does not need US Empire. But the world does not need Chinese Empire either. Or Russian Empire or EU Empire or any other structure absorbing most of the world's resources, both natural and human. What the world desperately needs is redistribution of the resources and wealth.

  • I am not responsible for fucking idiots getting involved in Iraq wars and dumbshits at AIG or on Wall street in general fucking shit up. So fuck you shithead. I hope you learn to love to eat shit. I am moving to singapore in 3 weeks. I can not wait!

  • What's wrong with Austria or Switzerland ? Its not just about dollars and cents, its what kind of quality of life you want. Singapore would not appeal to me no matter how many riches you waved in front of me.

  • Austria is a great place to live.

  • The United States will be an afterthought, a memory of a country that was once so great but fell apart when its citizens forgot the message of the founders. As we move into the new century, we'll immigrate to a new country and learn to live by new rules.

As the United States becomes crushed under the weight of its own debt, people will not have the power to say anything to the demands of foreign creditors. There will be no money to wage war.

It was a great experiment and fun while it lasted.

  • There is time to save the republic my friend, but only if we correct course rather quickly. Unfortunatley, I don't see many signs of this happening. As Ron Paul says, we could survive a financial colapse, but the republic cannot survive without freedom. Time will tell.

  • Yes I must agree! There is hope as two will be born, Leia & Luke Skywalker. They will correct the evils of the father. Time will tell.

  • @thorie79 stfu you shit slop. The jews will be killed in america. the niggers too. then we wil kill the countries who war with us, Its true.

  • @thorie79 Well when a big dog gets put into a corner what does it do? War. Money is only paper and everyone defaults! IS America doesnt pay back money it owes. OR Europe. And China doesnt get money it lent out! Money has no value. Hi can i buy that please? Not with money you cant i want real value. Got any Gold? Or Diamonds? Lets put an imaginary figure on your house value. What about 400,000$ Why not 800,000$ or 100,000. Its all a con of banks

  • uh but people like Kissinger, said they would use the USA's energy until exhaustion in what they called "push for imperialism", it just simply means a single world Totalitarian government. :) How lovely, i guess the experiment is not over.. it has just been moved to Phase 2. By the way the founding fathers planned phase 2 all along. They were after all a bunch of elitist freemasons.

  • @deceiver123m No they weren't elitists at all. You need to STFU, as you know nothing, but spout off nothing but moronic drivel. If you have a brain you should read some history.

  • @kickyerass and thats why kissinger is hob knobbing with the elite and you are not. Sure theyre not elitist... you read some history. You probably still think al qaeda is a danger to americans. LOL

  • Great interview jim rogers is a fine fellow
