i remember piano recitals. i've played my share of them. beethoven, mozart, chopin, bartok, bach, brahms, etc..i've played them all.

So you are a musician, Clay? Do you play anything besides the piano? Did you take music or acting in college at all?

dan..i never took acting lessons..in fact, never even been to any sort of acting class. i've been playing the piano for most of my life. i can play the guitar and sing a little. i played trumpet for awhile and marimba too.

I dislike the sound of a piano, but I did my best to watch the whole thing.

I play the guitar for 5 years now and have always wondered about playing the piano, though I dislike it's sound.

So, I get the impression that you don't particularly like the sound of the piano?

I'm sorry for you. I do believe pianos differ in tone, and certain vary in their ability to hold their tuning. This particular restored baby grand has a wonderful rich tone, but it isn't captured by this camera at all.

I'm very happy with her progress, but more importantly, she is happy with her progress!

I have an ulterior motive in giving her lessons -- I'm cultivating an accompanist.

I'm just glad she loves it so much.
