Your voice is this massively dark, haunting, instrument...a muse when I sit to write...silk spider webs of feelings...cocoons spinning insanely around my crown. Your voice is my new favorite drug. I want to mainline it every second. LOL. I have to laugh at myself because, rarely do I ever respond this way to a contemporary artist of my generation anyway.

When I make a song like this, the thought is Fm7, Gm7, Dm7/A, but when I actually play it I'll add in diminished 5ths, 9ths, and whatever to jazz it up a bit more. So I think some chords are m7's, some are m9's, and that 3rd chord switches between Ddim/A, Dm7/A, maybe some Dm9/A, etc. throughout the song. I don't think that he plays a Dsharpened9/A though it sounds fine to add it in.
