If you watched the video there heads are clearly not buried in the music they are just using it as a reference. My choir is doing this for our christmas concert and let me tell you it is not an easy song to memorize. Over all a good performance, very impressive.
The critics are individuals who sang in someone's choral group - so they randomly select something to say that was said by their director (that probably made sense in their choir) however it generally does not coinside with what's now being heard from other groups. So overlook them. ANYWAY
A very nice musical approach. Nice forward sounds and subtle contrast. Hard to hear what the actual live sound was. But still magnificently Glorious! PEACE!
Wonderful sound guys. Remember not to respond to people who try to offer criticism on youtube these people are not your experts The experts may listen but they are generally too busy putting their own agenda together. So there's no need to respond to people who want to pretend to know, usually their off by a long shot.
A good performance. I would love to see it memorized. As with all music, something is lost when the singers heads are buried in the music. It also increases the chance for mistakes, while hindering the conductor's ability to control the ensemble.
The piece is wonderful. Written in the same vein as Morten Lauridsen with the secundal chords. Watch the tuning at the end though. This is a powerful piece that demands quite a lot from its performers. Good Job.
and for all of those who gave me thumbs down...you suck! this guy is just trying to find stupid crap that is completely irrelevant. he is a loser and knows absolutely zero about music. And yes I was in the glee club and will defend it's musical integrity till the end. I will say it again Go FUCK YOURSELF RUGC RULES!!!!!
Absolutely exquisite performance!I included this as part of my contribution to the Dona Nobis Pacem annual peace project on my blog, Universal Health. Thank you, gentlemen!

The opening:
Dona Nobis Paa ch- ch- chem lol.
Overall sounded good.. Great T1s. Peaked out dynamically too early though.
Powerful composition.

hey joe, did you write an SATB version of this?
songsofscarlet 3 years ago
Yes, I did an SSATTBB arrangement of it. ECS Publishing prints both versions.
