Watching the vid I had a very weird experience: I imagined this was after the stroke and he survived it, then back to business as usual. The thing is moments like this make you realize how fragile human life is. Seeing a guy that embodies toughness and determination, the kind of things that make a man exemplary dying all of a sudden is very disturbing. Anyway, I hope the see is calm and the sun is shining where he's gone right now. RIP.
I have always liked watching Deadliest Catch. Phil is such a cool person and he will be missed. The type person that makes you feel like he is a family member after watching many episodes. Come on, the guy had a blood clot travel up his leg, through his heart and lodge in his lung, which should've killed him outright. But, he kept right on working to get his catch, even as he was coughing blood and barely breathing. I lost my father 3 years ago and was the toughest thing I ever went through, believe that he is in a better place, become at peace with yourself and the world, instead of mourning him, hold a soft place in your heart and a nostalgic collection of memories in your mind of the great times shared, look to the future but hold a place in your heart and loving memories in your mind where you can go for friends and loved ones long gone but not forgotten.
Going to miss Capt. Phil a lot he was a tough old guy but he was that way to make sure his sons and crew were safe. I heard the last words he said were to the docs and nurses in the hospital... it was "don't f*ck up". Gruff to the end. Luv ya Phil you'll be missed a lot.

Unfortunately I haven't seen this season's Deadliest Catch and was totally gobsmacked when my daughter told me today that Phil had died!!! He was one of the show's true characters and it won't be the same without him. RIP Phil

Going to miss Capt. Phil a lot he was a tough old guy but he was that way to make sure his sons and crew were safe. I heard the last words he said were to the docs and nurses in the hospital... it was "don't f*ck up". Gruff to the end. Luv ya Phil you'll be missed a lot.
